VIT- Not as good as it looks like on the outside.

Placements: Placements are decent, when compared to other engineering colleges. Every student who doesn't have any backlogs will get at least 4-5 job offers which are from mass placement companies. If you want a job at a good company, you'd have to maintain you GPA above 8.0 and have good technical coding skills.

Life at Privately Attracted College.

Placements: Placement in CORE company is very Rare we have to struggle yourself and should Have some special achievements like winning some Technical competition and should publish one research paper. Mostly Seniors are place in IT sector which is nearly 80%are in This sector. In Mechanical 13 Lacs per annum was maximum and minimum was 2 Lacs and average 4.5 Lacs.

This university is not worth the money.

Placements: There are only IT jobs, and no proper core jobs are offered. It is one of the worst universities in India, and the arrears of fee is too high. Better not to choose VIT for placements. All the faculty members speak in Tamil; they don't teach us anything. Coming to mess and hostels, it is worth the money.

Before joining VIT, you should know all the details about it.

Placements: VIT provides many placement opportunities, and you will be provided with many aspiring companies both for jobs and internships. Well-programmed academics can help to do many things like research, courses, journals, etc., and these are added assets for placements.

The course doing in VIT is fun, but for the stuff like malls act, it's too boring.

Placements: The placements in VIT are good. The salaries ranging from 5-15 LPA is offered for most of the students. According to the recent poll, there have been placements for around 87 percent of students, and most of them are into good companies. The placements for the core students are not up to the mark.

It's a good place to study B.Tech, but not for B.Sc.

Placements: Only 10 of them got placed in my batch. If you join here for B.Sc., then you should not expect for the placements. Even the students with CGPA 9 didn't expect the placements in well-reputed companies. Other than placements, it is somehow a good college. FFCS method won't be clear when you join in this college.

Fairly satisfied with faculties and awesome infrastructure facilities are good. No Placement 2015

Placements: On the time of completion there were no campus placement for our department. Execpt that every other department is getting a fair placement on the university. Many students are getting a dream offer in the college. My seniors got a placement in Bangalore 8000 salary. We didnt got a job offer for my entire batch of multimedia and animation.

Placement is the only good thing here.

Placements: The placement for branches like CSE, IT, ECE and EEE are fairly nice. People end up getting super dream packages worth more than 15L per annum. Placement statistics for branches like Civil, Mechanical, Biotech arena't as great as the other above mentioned branches. But overall the college promises 100% placement. The highest package for our seniors this time was from CSE worth 24L per annum. The entire placement thing is under the PAT office.

Vit 2015 - story of a college which is only serious on academics and not on the general student life

Placements: Placements in VIT are one of the best thing about the college. I personally got 3 job offers ( Accenture, ZS and sun route consulting ). Most of my friends looking for jobs got them. So would rate the placement cell highly. The highest package was 27 LPA.

Somewhat satisfied with the college infrastructure.

Placements: Compare to remaining private universities, VIT is somewhat better regarding getting internships, but there are no placements. If CGPA of students is good, everyone will get good outside opportunities. VIT has a good reputation outside. If you don't get a seat in IITs and NITs, VIT is a better option for M-TECH.

Good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: A very few get a decent job and all others are placed and offered with a package of 3-4 LPA or 5-6 LPA. The highest package was 27 to 28 lacs per annum. Companies like Amazon, TCS, Infosys, visit our college. A few students get stipend during their internship.

Some facts about VIT which a real VITian only knows.

Placements: VIT intake is too much. But they can't provide job in core companies for everyone as it is practical too. Placements will happen almost daily for two months. You will feel which one to attend which one not to. But finally, 95% of the students will be placed in IT companies only. Even if other companies come, they also need testing profiles. Please don't join this college for Masters. It is good for B.Tech though.

VIT Business School has a good number of faculty who deliver nice classes. But placements are bad.

Placements: Placements for our batch weren't up to the mark. Till today 10-3-18, only two companies came, and all the companies were only sales (door to door sales) companies. They pretend to call companies, but they don't call many. Also, the companies which come don't offer nice package.

Dissatisfied with the VIT University.

Placements: The placement offers are good, but due to the overwhelming population in VIT, the competition is too much to handle. VIT tells that they have 100% placement every year, but that is not true. Last year, not everyone got placed. This year, the highest salary offered to everyone was 30 lacs per annum. Whereas for girls only, it was more than 40 LPA offered by Adobe, though no one got placed from VIT.

There are good placements in 2017. The infrastructure and the faculty are decent.

Placements: The college guarantees you a 100% placement rate which is not true. They've divided the offers into 3 categories like regular, dream & super dream. If you've been selected for a dream offer already, you can't sit for other dream offers. Same for regular as well as super dream offers. You can't choose the company of your wish. A lot of new startups come here for recruitments.

Faculty is okay, placements are a nightmare, and infrastructure is decent.

Placements: I am not aware of the exact statistics. However, the placements were very standard. There were a few mass recruiting companies who recruits below average students also. The core companies come for civil students but did not hired a single student from civil branch. The salary for civil students being offered was excruciatingly low.

For mechanical, the placement is not good, but for other courses, the placement is better.

Placements: The placements are very less for the mechanical engineering. Most of the companies which visit VIT are local companies from Chennai, so every student gets a very low package. Only a handful of people get the satisfactory salary package. As most of the students aim for higher studies, by this package, everyone is demotivated. I would suggest that you should always prefer other colleges like BITS and MIT, Manipal than VIT. The highest salary package is not more about 5 lakh per annum in the mechan...

Over crowded campus, good infrastructure, average placements

Placements: There is a fall in the no. of placements when compared to my super seniors and seniors. 60% of the students are placed (might not be exact). There are a very large number of companies conducting placements but very few students are being selected. The students having CGPA more than 8.5 are getting placement offers as companies put that criteria to filter out students. The highest placement offer was 24 lac/annum and the least was 4 lac/annum.

Placements: There are no placements for embedded systems. For internships, 4-5 companies visited for embedded batch. 5 out of 48 got internships. The highest stipend was Rs. 30,000 per month and lowest was Rs. 15,000 per month. Companies that visited for internship are NetApp, Delphi Automotives, Danfoss, Intel, etc.

Dissatisfied because of misplaced priorities of the management.

Placements: Most of the people were placed in mass placement companies. It was the same with our seniors. There were limited number of core companies who would have employed around 200-300 of the 2000 students in the batch (these are approximate numbers only and does not take into account the number of students who opted out of placements.) Some of the major companies were NI, Tata, Hyundai, Microsoft, Schneider, Siemens, Honda, Maruti, etc. Core companies offered the role of a graduate engineer trainee. Th...
