Why you should choose carmel.
Placements: The placements are good finite and catering to jobs, not related to B.A. courses, but still one can choose from NGOs MNCs, and some startups. The placement cell also provides internships, but they are usually non-beneficial because you can get better internships through intern shall and even if you work for courses. You will not get attendance which is important for writing end semesters.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good, but it is not as big as private engineering colleges. There is some construction is going on, and few classrooms do not even have the fan. The classes are usually crowded and half the times you cant hear college announcements as there is only one speaker. Many other colleges have better restroom cleanliness, and there are lifts not accessible to students.
Faculty: The faculty for B.A. course is qualified to PhD levels, but most of them have an accent only south Indians can understand better. There is slight industrial exposure, and they mostly use ppts for teaching quality. They can be rated between average to good depending on which teacher you get. Usually, classes are combined with other batch students, so it becomes a mess when a small classroom is allotted.
Other: There are a lot of fests going around on campus throughout the year.

It is one of the best colleges in southern India.
Placements: Since I'm from an arts background, placements are relatively less, but the students of commerce and science departments have extraordinarily good companies recruiting, and a fair number of students also get placed. The placement cell is very approachable and holds systematic training sessions which are very helpful for the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not great, but considering the age of the building, the infrastructure is good. Almost facilities are accessible, and the new buildings are on par with the times. Smartboards and Wi-Fi connectivity add to the merits, while the cleanliness of washrooms adds to the demerits, but from my experience of other colleges, MCC has pretty good washrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members for our course are excellent, and the curriculum is also extraordinarily compiled to break the canon, and it included current and updated information regarding the stream of study. Faculty members are also very helpful and corporate, and the inclusion of both co-curricular activities and other modes of study aided the understanding of the curriculum.

Good infrastructure and faculty, but dissatisfied with the administration.
Placements: MCC is good for placements in the commerce department, but in the arts, there is no placement since most people opt for higher studies. Also, there are very few jobs at the UG level for arts students. There is no time for internships for psychology students. Most people have to find it out on their own and do it online.
Infrastructure: There are smart classrooms, there are 2 canteens, one is the main one (called Triple C), which has all variety in foods, and the rate is also good. The other canteen is called Purple Corner, which is open and outdoors and serves decent food. I am not sure about hostels as i didn't stay there.
Faculty: Psychology faculty is very approachable and knowledgeable. They teach really well. The psychology curriculum is basic, with general psychology in the 1st year, developmental psychology in the 2nd, and in the 3rd year they give an option between abnormal and counselling psychology.
Other: MCC is famous for its fests. There is not a single day where you'll feel bored on campus. Attendance strictness and dress code are something that should be changed.
