Q: How to download CA admit card?
To download the ICAI CA admit card, candidates have to log in to their ICAI account with the login ID and password created at the time of registration. Once they log in, they will be able to see the option to download the admit card on the dashboard. Click on the option and download the admit card. Here’s the process of CA admit card explained in steps:
Step 1: Log on to the eservices website of the ICAI
Step 2: Click on the text indicating admit card for your exam group

Q: Can I change my CA test centre after receiving the admit card?
No, there is no provision to change their exam centres after the CA admit card has been issued. The option to change test city is given only the form correction process which is held a day after the registrations close. the form correction window is opened for 3-4 days for making changes in the already submitted form. Afterwards, you cannot change the test city. You will have to take the test in the city mentioned on your admit card. Thus, it is important that you make careful selection of the test cities in the CA exam form. Always select your hometown or city of current residence as the first preference so that you are allotted a test centre in that city only.
Q: Which are the websites to download CA admit card?
The CA admit card will be available for download on the official websites of ICAI only. Candidates need to visit icaiexam.icai.org OR https://eservices.icai.org to download their CA admit cards before the exam day. No other website is authorised by the ICAI to host the admit cards, so candidates must not log in to any link which is not hosted at the official website of ICAI. Admit cards for CA Foundation, Intermediate and Final will be hosted on the same website. The CA Intermediate and CA Final admit cards are released on the same date whereas the CA Foundation admit card is released on a separate date. For downloading the CA admit card, candidates will have to use their login credentials created at the time of exam form submission.
Q: What are the documents/items to carry at CA exam centre?
CA candidates need to carry two copies of CA admit card (A4 size paper/colour printout), one photo ID (original), blue or black ballpoint pen and calculator to the examination centre. Candidates can carry Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID card, passport or driving license as the mandatory document for identification. They are also required to carry passport size photos to affix on the CA admit card. Entry without these documents will not be allowed.
Digital copy of the admit card or photo ID will not be accepted as valid at the examination centres, thus candidates must take print outs of their admit card as soon as they download it.

No, the ICAI does not send CA admit cards to candidates by post. Candidates have to download their admit cards from the official website by using login ID and password created at the time of exam registration. The login for admit card download is same as application submission. Candidates must download the copy of their admit card ahead of the exam and check the information mentioned on it. Incase, the photograph and signature of the candidate are not there on the ICAI CA admit card, they need to get their photograph & signature attested by a member of the Institute on his letterhead, indicating inter alia the name, registration number, exam, month and year of exam, roll number, medium, group, centre and postal address and carry the same to the examination centre, in duplicate, as proof of his/her identity.
Q: What is the time duration of ICAI CA exams?
The time duration of ICAI CA exams varies for each paper. For some papers, the duration is three hours whereas for some papers it is two hours. The time limit of CA Foundation paper 3 and 4 is 2 hours and for the rest of the papers across levels is three hours. There is no sectional time limit in the CA exams. Candidates have to solve the paper in the given time frame. They must prepare in such a way that they are able to solve maximum questions in the given time limit.
The CA exams are conducted one paper per day and there is no break in between. Candidates have to complete the paper in one go.

Q: What is the fees for CA Intermediate exam?
The fees for CA Intermediate/ Intermediate (IPC) (Old and New Schemes) is INR 1,500 for single group and INR 2,700 for both groups, to be paid at the time of form submission. Candidates must pay the fee before deadline of form submission to avoid penalty of late fee (INR 600). The fee is non-refundable. The fee payment is to be done through credit card, debit card or net banking. Unless the fee is paid, the course or exam application form will not be submitted. CA Intermediate Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have passed CA Foundation examination or equivalent examination are eligible
- Candidates who have registered for previous CA Intermediate exam as per syllabus under paragraph 2 or 2A of Schedule B or Professional Education (Course-II), Professional Competence Course and converted into Intermediate (IPC) Course/ Accounting Technician Course (ATC) are eligible
- Candidates who have completed graduation or post-graduation in any stream from a recognised institute of India are also eligible
CA Final Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have passed the CA Intermediate examination or Professional Education Examination – II/PCC/IPCC, are eligible to apply for the CA Final exam
- They must also have completed 3 years or 3½ years or must be due to complete, as the case may be, of article training as on the date of filling the form
- For PE-II stream student and PE-II stream students converted to IPCC – Also, they must be serving the last twelve months of articled training including excess leave, if any, and due to complete 3 years on or before October 31 of the examination year.
- For PCC stream students - The candidate must be serving the last six months of articled training including excess leave if any, and due to complete 3½ years on or before 30th April of the examination year
- For Intermediate IPCC students – The candidate must be serving the last six months of training including excess leave if any, and due to complete 3 years on or before April 30 of the examination year.
- For students converted from PE-II to PCC as well as for students converted from PE-II to PCC and then to IPCC - The candidate must be serving the last twelve months of training including excess leave if any, and due to complete 3½ years articles on or before October 31 of the examination year.
