Campus area at Adamas University

Adamas University was established in 2014 by Sachis Kiron Roy Memorial Trust (SKRMT) in the Adamas Knowledge City at Barasat, North 24 Parganas, as a concept of a "city within the city." It holds an array of educational institutes on its expansive 120-acre green campus, which houses students and faculties.

Facilities available for students at Adamas University:

Being the top-ranked private university in Eastern India, Adamas University provides its students with world-class infrastructure and multiple scholarly activities for accomplishment in the professional field. The AU Facilities Management Team works 24 hours a day, seven days a week to maintain higher levels of cleanliness and security on and around campus. Following is the list of facilities provided to the students at AU:

• Library: The university has a central library and four other departmental libraries for UG students, PG students, research scholars, teaching staff, and others, containing large numbers of textbooks, reference books, journals, theses, dissertations, databases, etc. The library has a unique library website for easy access to various electronic resources from anywhere at any time. It also incorporates a law library with extensive electronic databases.
• World-class laboratories: The university has state-of-the-art laboratories and offers hands-on training to students to develop the skill and experience of cutting-edge research. There are numerous labs available to meet the different needs of students based on their course, such as a biochemistry lab, a civil engineering lab, a geography lab, a pharmaceutical lab, a psychology lab, a research lab, etc.
• On-campus medical facilities: The university manages a health and wellness centre equipped with five beds and primary care facilities, attended by qualified medical practitioners. The health centre periodically organises health check-up camps and physiotherapy sessions and has a 24-hour ambulance facility available alongside a pharmacy store.
• Counseling center: The university has established a dedicated counselling centre to improve the mental health of students and faculty. The Center for Psychotherapy and Counseling was established in Adamas University's medical unit in 2018 and is led by an outstanding team of faculty members, a few of whom are RCI-registered.
• Bank ATM and banking facility: The university has a Bank of India branch inside the campus to cater to the needs of students and faculty. There is also an ATM machine by the ICICI Bank at the AU Administration Block Office.
• Student’s common room: The students' common rooms are available inside both the girls’ and boys’ hostels, with a state-of-the-art projection screen and indoor sports facilities like a badminton court, a basketball court, and other board games. Birthday parties and other small celebrations are permitted in these common rooms with the permission of the warden.
• Campus gymnasium and yoga center: A proper gym and yoga centre are available on campus, along with a gym trainer to assist the students and employees with the workout and proper usage of gym equipment.
• Laundry: Adamas University offers a laundromat to its students and faculty who live on campus for a nominal fee. Well-equipped and environmentally friendly washing machines have been set up to make students' lives comfortable.
• Sports facility: Adamas University's sports department has taken many initiatives to promote sports spirit by maintaining global standards in its facilities. Direct admissions are done under the sports quota, and sports scholarships are also available for the students. Besides this, AU has set up independent sports units and provides state-of-the-art facilities on campus, including a cricket ground, a basketball court, fitness programs, sports tournaments, etc.
• IT facility: Adamas University has made appropriate provisions for the development of IT infrastructure for proper governance, academics, and research on campus. All the buildings and classes on the campus are ICT-enabled, equipped with a projector, Wi-Fi, and LAN.

There are various other amenities provided to the students inside the university campus, such as a stationery shop, a copier center, a confectionary store, a family salon, etc.

Co-curricular facilities at Adamas university:

The students get national and international exposure under the guidance of a well-experienced faculty team. Regular seminars, conferences, workshops, internships, projects, educational tours, etc. are held for students to have a regular dialogue between academia and the professors or leading thinkers in the field.

Hostel and mess facilities at Adamas university:

Adamas University is built inside Adamas Knowledge City, which has been built as an education hub with the facility for students and faculty to live on the same campus. The university provides its students with completely Wi-Fi-enabled and fully furnished hostel facilities. Around 1308 students can be accommodated in hostels at full strength.

Separate hostel facilities for both male and female candidates are available on the campus. The students can choose between AC and non-AC rooms as well as single, double, or triple-sharing rooms. All the rooms are properly furnished, which ensures that they meet the necessities of the students living there. Each hostel has wardens to supervise the day-to-day activities and comfort of students.

Food: A spacious and airy canteen is available for both students and faculty, which takes care of the regular meals provided to them. Nutritious meals are served for breakfast, lunch, tea, and supper. The executive chef, along with the hostel administrative body, prepares the menu for each week to provide the students with various kinds of cuisine along with the required nutrition. In addition to that, a CCD Express is also available for the students on campus.

Transportation facilities at Adamas university:

Proper transportation facilities are provided to the students of Adamas University. It becomes more convenient for them to attend the classes because of this. The bus boards from the designated stop, and the transportation fee is payable in advance as per the prescribed schedule of fees. There are various other norms related to the transportation facilities that the students need to check and follow throughout.
