As part of its ongoing internationalization strategy, Prof (Dr) Shauli Mukherjee, Professor & Dean of the School of Education and Dean of International Relations, alongside Saumya Subhra Roy, Director of University Operations, represented Adamas University in an Academic Expedition to Malaysia. On March 4th, our senior representatives visited UCSI University and Universiti Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, engaging in fruitful discussions with senior officials from both institutions regarding potential student and faculty exchange programs, joint research endeavors, and other collaborative initiatives. We eagerly anticipate the development of productive joint ventures and collaborative activities.
DUBAI IMMERSION PROGRAM 2024: A CULTURAL AND ACADEMIC ODYSSEY
March 14, 2024: The Dubai Immersion Program 2024 offered students a distinctive and enriching experience by intertwining cultural exploration and professional insights in the bustling city of Dubai. Running from January 17th to January 22nd, the program encompassed a range of activities, workshops, and visits to prominent educational institutions. Commencing on January 18th with a session at Curtin University, students were enthralled by a presentation from Dan Atkins, the CEO of Curtin University, which provided valuable insights into the educational landscape, setting the stage for the immersive journey ahead. Subsequently, participants visited the Hult International Business School on the following day, where they received an informative briefing on the institution's educational policies and structure from enrollment advisor Avijeet Khakharia. A session on "Innovation for Sustainability Development" by Prof. Belisa Marochi deepened the students' understanding of global challenges and the significance of innovation in addressing them.
On January 19th, students explored the D?Mont Institute of Management and Technology, an institution distinguished by its fusion of modern architecture with state-of-the-art facilities. The faculty's commitment to academic excellence and engaging discussions left a profound impression on the students. Continuing their academic journey, participants visited The University of Wollongong Dubai, where they had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge research facilities and libraries. The campus's dedication to diversity and inclusivity fostered a collaborative atmosphere among students, enhancing the academic experience. Beyond academia, students immersed themselves in Dubai's vibrant culture and entertainment scene. Exploring the renowned Dubai Mall allowed them to indulge in luxury, entertainment, and diverse retail offerings, while visits to architectural wonders such as the Dubai Aquarium and Burj Khalifa added to the allure of the experience. The program's cultural exploration culminated in a thrilling Desert Safari, offering students a captivating journey into the Arabian dunes. The combination of exhilarating dune bashing, camel rides, and a breathtaking desert sunset created unforgettable memories. The traditional Arabian camp, featuring cultural performances and delectable cuisine, provided students with a deeper connection to the region's rich heritage. Expressing their gratitude, students thanked Adamas University for organizing the Dubai Immersion Program 2024, which provided them with a valuable opportunity to enhance their academic and cultural understanding. University Hosts Third Annual Convocation Ceremony
January 22, 2020: Adamas University hosted third annual convocation ceremony in the University campus. Over 243 undergraduates, 63 post graduates and 50 graduands of pharmaceutical technology received their degrees. University invited Co-founder of HCL Group Arjun Malhotra as the chief guest of the event. Adamas imparts innovative degree programmes through ten Schools of Studies. These include Engineering & Technology, Management, Law & Justice, Science, Life Science & Biotechnology, Social Sciences, Pharmaceutical Technology, Economics & Commerce, Education, and Media, Communication & Fashion.
Considering the evolvement of IT and rapid technological changes, the University has collaborated with over 41 universities across the globe to facilitate global exposure to students and faculty.
Human Resource Conclave, 2019
May 3, 2019: Adamas University hosted Human Resource Conclave in Gurugram. Over 45 prominent HR leaders were invited across various industries to share their thoughts and ideas on Mutual Expectations of Corporate & Academia. While discussions, the industry leaders emphasised that skilled personnel are not adequately fitted against the resources needed in the industry. Youth of the country needs to be trained well. They must possess analytical skills and have an open view to the industry. There were also discussions around evolution of IT which has created demand of AI, blockchain, problem-solving and resource management skills. April 10, 2019: University organised a two-day job fair in Adamas Knowledge city, Kolkata. The event witnessed the presence of students of over 12 colleges across city, including Adamas University and Adamas Institute of Technology. The theme of the event was ‘Determination’.
