The campus area of the University of Madras is nearly about 12 acres. The University of Madras is ranked 39th overall by NIRF 2022 Ranking. The University of Madras has six campuses in Chepauk, Mariana, Guindy, Taramani, Maduravoyal, and Chetpet. The University has different buildings for different courses and lab facilities depending upon the course. Facilities at the University of Madras Campus

  1. The University of Madras has elevators, an air-conditioned campus, Wi-Fi throughout the campus, a medical room, a conference room, a sports room, a canteen, smart classrooms and labs for better learning.
  2. The university of Madras has separate hostels for girls and boys with a capacity of 400-500 people. The students are provided with separate cupboards, tables, chairs and Hindi and English newspapers
  3. The University of Madras also focuses on the co-curricular activities of students and believes in growth besides studies. The University provides ample opportunities to engage students in many co-curricular activities such as dance, singing, and poster making. These activities are introduced by the college so that students can explore themselves. The University of Madras has four playgrounds, one ground is for playing hockey for boys, the second is a covered ground, which can be used when needed, the third ground is designed for girls, where boys have restricted entry and the fourth ground is used when there is any activity that takes place in the college premises. The University of Madras has an amphitheater, where all the events of speech, dance and other activities take place. The University of Madras also has a three-storey auditorium with the entry on every floor. The campus has a badminton court and a gymnasium. The University of Madras has transportation facilities, which is a shuttle service and the charges are according to the distance from the University.
