On average, SPMVV charges INR 2500 as a hostel fee per month. 

SPMVV, Tirupati or Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam is popularly called Mahila University in and around the areas of Tirupati. SPMVV is located in Tirupati Andhra Pradesh, India. Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam is one of the best  Women’s universities in Andhra Pradesh, India. It was established as a State University by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the year 1983 by Sri N.T.Rama Rao. The main motto of establishing this Mahila University is to provide professional education for all women. Hence, the university was named after the goddess Sri Padmavati, the wife of Lord Venkateswara

Hostel Facilities in SPMVV

  • SPMVV provides hostel facilities within the campus itself. There are around 10 hostel blocks. In each block, there are 40 rooms accommodating 300 members approximately. A single hostel room can be shared by 6 to 7 students.
  • The hostel has an excellent environment with greenery surrounding the campus. 
  • Every year elections are conducted inside the hostels among students to pick leaders like student hostel secretary, food secretary, hostel block leader, room leader and wing leader etc.
  • Safety and security are ensured by SPMVV for female students. 
  • 24*7 CCTV cameras and security guards are available in each and every block of the hostel. At the main entrance of the hostel gate, there are two male security guards throughout the day and night.
  • Attendance of students is marked every evening in the hostel.
  • The hostel blocks have a reading room with a supply of daily newspapers and magazines.
  • There is a store available inside the hostel to purchase things. 
  • 24 hours Wi-Fi with high speed internet connectivity is provided in the hostel.
  • Only vegetarian meals are served in the mess. Special dishes are served on Sundays and on festivals. A dining hall with a capacity of 500 students is available.
  • Common areas like washrooms are cleaned by sweepers on a daily basis. 
  • For entertainment purposes, common TV is placed in the dining hall. Indoor games like chess and carroms are available in the indoor stadium.

Hostel Fee Structure

At the time of admission INR 5000 is to be paid to the hostel office in advance and it is refundable. INR 65 per day is charged for food as a mess fee. INR 750 a month is charged for room rent as an establishment fee. The establishment fee includes power and water bills.  On average INR 2500 is paid as a hostel fee per month. A penalty is applicable for late fee payments.

Q:   What is the seat intake for B.Tech at SPMVV?

A:

In Btech, there are different courses such as B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering in Sri Padmavati Mahila Vishvavidyalay.

The total seats it offers is around 400 which is a decent number. iF one wants to pursue B.Tech, one can easily get admission here. It is a good University .
