IET DAVV: A Perfect Blend of Academics and Campus Life
A short intro
I am Kunal Lalwani, a student of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at DAVV College. I got admission into the college through JEE Mains by studying online during the COVID-19 pandemic. I chose DAVV because of good placements, but according to me, the infrastructure needs to be improved. I have made many efforts to develop my knowledge of coding. I enjoy participating in college events like Engineer's Day and Fresher's. In my leisure time, I have a great yearning for technology and coding exercises.
A Perfect College and Course Combination
Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at DAVV College is a perfect mix of curriculum, academics, and real-life applicability as it focuses on Electronics and Telecommunications domain. Collectively, these courses provide students with a general perspective of how electronics works, with particular emphasis on electronics on devices, how communication systems are developed, and the dynamics of the interaction of these systems in a connected world.
Among the major advantages of the ETC programme at DAVV College is a curriculum scheme. The best-suited course has been structured to include fundamental areas such as Analog and Digital Electronics, Signal Analysis, Communication, Microprocessors and Controllers, Networks and Interfacing, and Special Applications and Systems. These areas are self-contained with labs in which students can use practical sessional assignments to refresh their theory. This kind of exposure is very useful as it dispels the theory learned in the classroom and exposes one to the real working environment.

However, some companies visit the campus, and about 55% of students got placed in the previous batch. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the average salary package is 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not exceptional, but adequate for studies. Classrooms are good, and greenery is present on campus. Hostels need improvement, with average living conditions and limited amenities.
Teaching Quality: Teachers are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. They explain the syllabus well, and extra-curricular activities are organized. The pass percentage is approximately 45%.

Q: Is Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya good for BBA?
Is Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) good for BBA?
Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what stands out:
* Placement Records: Over 90% of students get placed, with an average salary package ranging from INR7 LPA to INR8 LPA. The highest package offered was INR15 LPA. Top recruiters include hospitals, banks, and IT firms.
* Faculty Members: Professors are well-educated, knowledgeable, and supportive. Many hold PhDs and are willing to help students clarify doubts and prepare for internships and placements.

* Campus Life: The campus is lively, with various events and festivals organized throughout the year. Students enjoy interacting with peers and seniors outside of academics.
* Scholarship Opportunities: Meritorious students receive scholarships from the state government, while some companies also offer sponsorship for deserving candidates.
However, some drawbacks to consider:
* Difficulty Level: Some students found the course challenging, particularly those without prior math experience. Others felt that the curriculum could benefit from additional focus on practical applications.
* Internship Support: While professors are willing to assist with internships, some students reported having to seek out opportunities independently due to limited support from the college.
Overall, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya seems to be a good choice for BBA aspirants looking for a strong academic foundation, good placement records, and a vibrant campus culture. However, students should be prepared for a challenging course load and potentially limited support for securing internships.
These cover a wide range of topics that are generally offered as course content, but students should note that although the college is known as DAVV College and the infrastructure, especially the research infrastructure equipment, is still inadequate. However, the college still manages to lack some of these important qualities in the following ways: Despite the mentioned shortcoming, there are qualities that make up for the college’s desire to provide quality education and prepare their students for their respective careers. The ability of the faculty to provide employment opportunities to students and knowledgeable people to teach the students best practices in the endeavours of the college makes it a core competency.
The Semiconductor Boom and Emerging Job Opportunities
Job opportunities available to graduates of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering are extending well beyond specialization in Electronics Design and Telecommunication services. Innovative technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics etc, have created immense demand for those professionals who can design and develop electronics systems for those technologies. For instance, industries that operate on the use of self-driving automobiles, drones, smart structures, and so on depend a lot on the communication systems as well as semiconductor technology.
Beyond the Classroom
While the academic comparability of the ETC program of DAVV College is high, there is a humanistic touch to DAVV College. The college experience is not just being a student and listening to lectures and doing projects; college is about being able to get involved in other activities, going to workshops, and working in groups. Cultural events and technical fests are the serious events of DAVV College that give chances to students to participate in several events, including Engineer’s Day, Fresher’s Day, etc. Many of these events allow students to practice certain professional skills such as leadership, public speaking, and teamwork.

While Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya provides a good educational experience, it's essential for B.Sc. students to develop additional skills and take responsibility for their own careers. With persistence and determination, students can leverage the institution's resources to achieve their goals.
Thus, I have benefited from the diverse student community of DAVV College, which has helped me to have a broader view. The opportunity to work with students from different backgrounds, disciplines, and regions has increased my awareness of the diverse possibilities of experiences and ideas.
I have also used this opportunity to improve on my coding skills even though I am an ETC student. I am absolutely sure that the further perspective of Engineering is the merging with Programming, and I think that knowledge of both fields is essential for a person interested in the technical field. At DAVV College, I can do coding projects, which I extend alongside the traditional Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering courses, thus having a balanced skill set.
Overall, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering with DAVV College is probably one of the best packages any student can get in terms of learning. Even though it may lack some of the infrastructural facilities, we can safely conclude that the college provides a practical approach towards learning. In addition, the college’s holistic approach to individual student development guarantees that apart from being academically equipped, the students are well equipped to confront teen life and the real world.
