IIT Madras cutoff 2020 was released in the form of opening and closing ranks for all the BTech and Integrated BTech courses. The cutoff was released for various categories, including General, OBC, ST, SC, EWS and PWD. During the IIT Madras JEE Advanced cutoff 2020, BTech in CSE was the most competitive course with a closing cutoff of 158 for the General category. For the General AII India category students, the Last Round closing rank raged between 158 and 12762. Considering the Last Round cutoff, BTech in CSE was the most competitive course with a Round 1 closing rank of 157. The least competitive course was Biological Sciences (Dual Degree) with Round 1 and Last Round closing ranks of 8391 and 12762, respectively.

For the General All India Female category, the Last Round cutoff for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was higher compared to the cutoff for General All India category students. Q:   What has been the trend for cut-off for B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering at IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology in last few years?

A:

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 3259. In 2022, it increased to 3881. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 1584 to 1666 for OBC, 961 to 1248 for SC, 558 to 500 for ST, 610 to 862 for EWS, 86 to 165 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

Q:   How much JEE Advanced cutoff is required for IIT Madras BTech in CSE admission?

The JEE Advanced 2023 cutoff for Round 6 at IIT Madras has been released. During the IIT Madras cutoff 2023, the Round 1 and the last round clsoing cutoff rank were 144 and 148, respectively for the BTech in Computer Science and Engineering course. During the IIT Madras cutoff 2022, the last round cutoff was closed at 175 for the General All India category students. In 2021, IIT Madras JEE Advanced last round cutoff was 163. Yes, students who have completed a BTech degree from one of the IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 and above can apply without a GATE score.
