Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) releases admit cards for its entrance exam, IPU CET, and for its semester exams. Candidates interested in downloading the IPU admit card can do so with the help of their application number and date of birth on the official login portal. The admit card issued by GGSIPU is an important document on exam day. No candidate is allowed to sit for the examination without it.
IPU admit card for IPU CET 2025 is generally released in April of the current academic year, as per the past year's schedule. However, the IP University admit card for the end-term examination shall be given by the respective college and should be available for download online as well. IPU Admit Card Dates 2025
Soon after the university registration process, IP University admit cards are made available online for download. Candidates shall keep themselves updated with the schedule to download the entry ticket on time. Mentioned below are the important IPU admit card dates:
A notification regarding the counselling process through CUET is released when vacant seats are left after all rounds of counselling. Based on details mentioned in the IPU brochure, the IPU CUET counselling procedure could be in the following manner:
STEP 1: Counselling Registeration
Candidates have to register (could be online/offline) for counselling. Details such as the aspirant name, programme code and other details have to be provided during registration. The registration fee is INR 1,500.
STEP 2: Login & Enrol
Login with the ID and password generated during registration to fill out the application. The IPU counselling processing fee is INR 1,000, which has to be paid during the enrolment for participation in the counselling procedure after registration. Fill in the details as asked and take a printout of the form and fee receipt. Document verification is carried out in online mode based on information provided by the candidate during enrolment.
STEP 3: Choice Filling/Preference Sheet
The preference sheet is available on the GGSIPU brochure. For online mode, candidates will have to visit the university's official website. It must be noted that the preference sheet is valid for only one counselling round. Hence, for each round, a new preference sheet must be filled out for each counselling round.
STEP 4: Seat Allocation
After choice filling, seats are allotted to the candidates based on merit, respective category and region. Candidates can be asked to freeze the seat by paying a sum of fee.
GGSIPU admissions are open. A few more updates related to GGSIPU admissions are as follows:
- PhD admissions for winter session is open. The university will conduct the entrance test on Dec 22, 2025.
- The NEET UG Counselling 2025 has concluded, with the final seat allotment result of the stray vacancy round for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc (Nursing) courses.
- The CMAT 2026 exam is expected to be held in Jan 2026 for admission to the MBA, PGDM, and MMS courses.
- The CUET PG 2026 registration process for admission to PG courses is expected to begin in Jan 2026.
- The CUET UG 2026 registration window is expected to open in the first week of Mar 2026 for admission to UG courses.
- The NIMCET 2026 application form is anticipated to be available in April 2026 for admission to the MCA course.
- The CLAT 2026 exam for admission to the five-year Integrated LLB (UG) and one-year LLM courses will be held on Dec 7, 2025.
- The XAT registration process 2026 is now open for MBA/PGDM courses. The last date to register is Dec 5, 2025. Furthermore, the XAT 2026 exam will be held on Jan 4, 2026.
- The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/Mtech and PhD courses will be conducted on Feb 7, Feb 8, Feb 14, and Feb 15, 2026.

How to download the IPU Admit Card 2025?
Candidates appearing for the IPU CET exam or any of the accepted exams need to have a valid exam hall ticket. Entry without this document is not permitted. The steps to be followed for downloading the IPU CET/internal/practical exam admit card are mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the IPU official website (ipu.ac.in).
Step 2: Enter the application number and date of birth to log in.

For Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University MCA admission, candidates need to appear for the NIMCET entrance test. IP University MCA (lateral) entry admission is based on the IPU CET entrance test. In case of vacant seats after counselling, GGSIPU will consider Common Entrance Test (CET), conducted by GGSIP University for MCA admission. Candidates can fill out the accepted exams form through the official website of the conducting bodies.
Furthermore, eligible candidates have to go to thr IPU official website to register and fill out the application form. All the details in the online application should be filled out as per the official documents. Also, application must be submitted within the prescribed due date.
