National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore offers admission to UG and PG specialisations, such as, BDes, MDes, MFM, etc. The NIFT Bangalore cutoff 2024 has been announced only for the All India categories. Based on opening and closing ranks, the cutoffs were published upto four rounds. Q:   What are the various factors that determine NIFT cut off?

A:

NIFT cutoff depends on variables like: seat matrix, category of the candidate, total applications, category, Common Merit Rank (CMR) of the candidate in NIFT 2025, and the popularity (or ranking) of the institute. If any of these variables changes, the cut-off would also change. For instance, if the number of applicants goes up, the cut off would also go up. On the contrary, if the number of applicants is low, the cut-off would stay on the lower side.
