Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   How are B Tech placements at Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering?

A:

Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering (SVUCE) boasts a remarkable placement record for its Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs. Consistently, over 90% of SVUCE B.Tech graduates are placed in top companies each year. This impressive achievement stems from the college's strong industry connections and its focus on industry-relevant skills development. Graduates are well-prepared for the demands of the corporate world, making them highly sought after by recruiters.

Several factors contribute to SVUCE's exceptional placement record:

  • Strong Industry Partnerships: SVUCE maintains strong relationships with numerous industries, including IT, software, manufacturing, and infrastructure. These partnerships provide students with internship opportunities, exposure to real-world projects, and an understanding of industry expectations.

  • Industry-Aligned Curriculum: SVUCE's B.Tech curriculum is designed to align with the latest industry requirements and trends. Faculty members are actively engaged with industry experts to ensure that the curriculum remains relevant and prepares students for the skills demanded by employers.

  • Placement Cell and Training: SVUCE has a dedicated placement cell that actively engages with recruiters and organizes placement drives and job fairs. The placement cell also provides comprehensive training to students, covering resume writing, interview skills, and communication techniques.

  • Student Skills Development: SVUCE emphasizes the development of industry-relevant skills in its students beyond academic knowledge. Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities, workshops, and certifications to enhance their employability skills.

  • Alumni Network: SVUCE's strong alumni network plays a crucial role in its placement success. Alumni actively participate in placement activities, providing mentorship, guidance, and potential job opportunities for current students.

As a result of these factors, SVUCE B.Tech graduates secure placements in a wide range of companies, including multinational corporations, Indian IT giants, and leading startups. The average salary package for SVUCE graduates is competitive and reflects the high demand for their skills in the industry.

SVUCE's commitment to providing a quality engineering education and preparing students for successful careers in the industry is evident in its outstanding placement record. By consistently placing over 90% of its graduates in top companies, SVUCE establishes itself as a premier engineering institution with a reputation for excellence and a dedication to student success.

Q:   Is B Tech at Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering better than SPMVV

A:

Both SVUCE and SPMVV are renowned institutions offering B.Tech programs, but SVUCE generally holds a stronger reputation due to its superior placement record, extensive alumni network, and overall academic excellence.

SVUCE's stellar placement record consistently surpasses SPMVV's, with over 90% of its graduates securing placements in top companies annually. This impressive achievement reflects SVUCE's strong industry connections and its focus on preparing students for the corporate world.

SVUCE's alumni network is a valuable asset, providing mentorship, guidance, and potential job opportunities for current students. SPMVV's alumni network, while smaller, still contributes to its placement efforts.

SVUCE's infrastructure, faculty, and industry-aligned curriculum further enhance its appeal. SPMVV, while well-equipped, does not match SVUCE's resources and industry focus.

While SPMVV is a respectable institution, SVUCE's overall strengths make it the preferred choice for most aspiring engineers. Its comprehensive education and strong industry connections provide a promising foundation for successful engineering careers.

Best place to get University life but dissatisfied with teaching dependency.
Placements: Placements are going on average. Most of the students placed are from ECE, Civil, and Mechanical engineering departments. From Computer Science and Engineering, less than 10% of students were placed. We are expecting some more recruitments to occur in the future.
Infrastructure: Our college is spread over an area of 600 acres and there are 6 departments: Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. The library is too good and we can find peace of mind there. The auditorium is an architectural marvel.
Faculty: The course curriculum includes all the subjects required to make a student eligible for their respective industrial work. Teachers are well-qualified and interactable with students. Exams are simple to get qualified marks, but it's difficult to get distinction marks. There will be two mid-term exams, each of 40 marks, and the semester exam is conducted for 60 marks.

Other than good placements, good opportunities are also being provided here.
Placements: We have a percentage of over 70 percent where we have been placed in campus placements. The average package is like 4 LPA. We have companies like Fantics, Cognizant, Accenture, etc. We students have the chance to apply for internships with companies like Tech Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, and Wipro.
Infrastructure: Yes, we have the facilities of labs, Wi-Fi, and classrooms. It's quite good to get a seat in this college. Here, we have almost all the possibilities which a college must provide. So, we are grateful to have this course, Computer Science and Engineering.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful. They even have PhDs, and their teaching is quite good when compared to any other universities. The teaching helps us to learn more about the techniques and programs. The process they are following here is also good for our future practice.

I am frustrated on college staff.
Placements: The top recruits are from TCS and Amaron. The lowest package is for about 6 LPA. Students refer to off-campus interviews and higher education. The placement cell offers great placement assistance before clocking down, with various internships near Tirupati.
Infrastructure: The labs were good, but a new version has to be installed. Exams are somehow strict, with good food and nice greenery around the campus—great for greenery lovers to roam around the campus with friends. The canteens are very old and poorly maintained, lacking basic amenities.
Faculty: The question papers were somehow tough and needed to be well prepared for. For non-core subjects, we had to learn thoroughly, as they could fail you for minor mistakes. Good marks will be received by those who have good handwriting. Exam results will be quite delayed.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in coding. The crowd was minimal, and the fests were good, but they were conducted very slowly.

Good choice for the preparation of M.Tech and other courses.
Placements: 60 percent of the students are placed in our Computer Science and Engineering course. The highest package is 18 lpa, the average package is 7 lpa, and the lowest package is 3.5 lpa. Accenture can recruit students from this college, and some companies visit alternate years.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are nice and clean. Digital classrooms are there. The hostel food is average. The hostel fee is value for the mess food. The library is very good and superb. The maintenance of the library is very good. Wi-Fi is available in the library. In the hostel, no Wi-Fi is available.
Faculty: Yes, teachers help students and they are knowledgeable. The teaching quality of the teachers is good. The curriculum is also nice. The exams are not that tough. The exams are conducted very strictly. The results take more time.
Other: This is the trending course nowadays, so I took it. The AI skills.

Review of College of Engineering, Sri Venkateswara University.
Placements: Up to 2023, 90% students are placing in our college, but in 2024, there are no placements. The highest package is 18 LPA, average is 6 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA. Zoho, Accenture, 70 percent of students got internships. Roles are related to technical and IT manner like software engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and infrastructure facilities are too good. Mess is above average, and sports games have utmost importance. Labs were good in a timely manner, but there are no proper software. There is Wi-Fi facility in the library but not in the hostel, and it generates 1 GB of data per day for free.
Faculty: Teaching faculty used to be excellent but not now. There were professors who had solid experience in teaching and in knowledge, but nowadays there is a lack of those faculty. Course curriculum is most relevant for students who want to pursue their career in Ph.D. and all.
Other: I choose which is the booming technology right now. Coming to the best thing in the course, it has various opportunities to excel in the field of IT. Our college is a great platform for events and fests.
