Deciding what to do after the SET exam result can be a little daunting. Also, it is completely an individual’s choice. After the SET result is announced each participating institute releases a SET cutoff list. Candidates who match the cutoff will have to appear for the further admission process which includes Group Discussions, Written Ability Test and Personal Interviews.
During the WAT/GD/PI rounds, aspirants are evaluated on various grounds. They will be evaluated on communication skills, leadership skills, grammatical skills, vocabulary, general awareness, managerial skills, personality, confidence, academics, the candidate-specific field of interest, extracurricular activities, etc.

Written Ability Test (WAT) is conducted as a part of the selection procedure. In 2021, the WAT round was conducted alongside the SET exam. Clearing the WAT round is mandatory to be able to appear in the Personal Interview round. Candidates must ensure that their general knowledge is good as awakened general awareness is expected for SET candidates and is the core of all three rounds. Candidates must know well about the current happenings (national and international arena), business and economy, social issues, etc.
Q: Does Symbiosis International Pune require CUET?
Symbiosis International Pune doesn't required CUET for admission. The deemd to be uiversity conducts its own entrance exams for admission to its UG and PG programme. However, its also accepts national level entrance exams such as JEE Main, MH CET, NEET, SLAT, etc. Additionally, candidates must aslo qualify the eligbility criteria, which are as follows:

Q: When will the SET result be out?
The Symbiosis International (Deemed University) releases the SET scorecards for all sessions. Only the candidates who appeared for the SET exam were able to download their scorecards using their User ID and password. The scorecards were available only on the official website. The SET exam 2024 was conducted on May 5, 2024, and May 11, 2024, in the computer-based test mode. The SET results were out for all the courses provided by the institutes under the Symbiosis International University. The SET scores are accepted in the 10 prestigious colleges of Symbiosis University.
Q: What to do after SET result?
Personal Interview rounds will also be conducted as the final selection process. The PI round will be conducted individually for each programme by each Symbiosis institute. The SET exam is a qualifying phase. It is mandatory to clear SET exam to be able to appear for the PI round.

SET Counselling: Important Dates Institute-Wise (Previous Year)

Q: Are SET cutoffs announced along with SET results?
SET cut offs are not unannounced along with the SET result. Individual participating institutes released their own cutoff and they are known after a few days of result announcement when the colleges start their shortlisting process. The SET scores of the candidates shortlisted for Written Ability Test (What) and Personal Interview PI can be considered the SET cut off for the participating institute. SET cutoff is a major criteria for students to get admissions to their desired colleges. According to the previous years, the SET cutoff in the top institutes generally range from 45 to 89. The SET cutoff varies from one institute to another. The expected SET cutoff for the General category students is 89 and that for those belonging to SC and ST categories is 50 and 48 respectively. These cutoffs may vary after the final SET cutoffs are unannounced by the individual institutes.
Q: Will I get admission on the basis of SET results directly?
No, after the SET exam is cleared, candidates had to go through for further selection procedure conducted by the participating institutes. The SET scores are accepted by the ten prestigious institutes of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Candidates need to meet the cutoff criteria of the participating institutes to take admissions. The admission process included Written Ability Test (What), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). Other factors such as academic record, work experience, etc. were also considered for admission to various institutes which accept SET scores. SET score is only the first parameter on which the candidates are shortlisted for admission. The institutes first shortlist the candidates for What, GD and PI on the basis of their SET scores, marks obtained in Class 10 and Class 12. For the final selection, the institutes take SET scores, performance in GD/PI, What, Class 10 and Class 12 marks, work experience, academic diversity and gender diversity into consideration.
Q: How much percentile is required for SIU BTech?
The eligibility criteria includes minimum qualification and aggregate required to apply for any of the UG or PG courses. Below is eligibility requirement for SIU Pune courses:

Q: How is the final SET score calculated?
SET score is determined on the basis of correct answers marked by aspirants in the SET exam. For each correct answer, candidates are awarded one mark. For an incorrect answer, there is no negative marking. And also no marks will be awarded or deducted for unaswered questions. Candidates who match the SET cutoff criteria are further called for the Personal Interview round.
Therefore, the total marks of SET is 60. The sectional marking scheme for SET is given below:

- Analytical and Logical Reasoning: 12
- Quantitative Ability: 16
- General Knowledge: 16
Candidates must choose the questions to solve very carefully and smartly as they will not be awarded marks for incorrect answers. If they are not sure of the correct answer, they should leave the question instead of taking a chance.
