IPM Rohtak Exam Pattern 2025: Know Latest Marking Scheme & Exam Duration

The IPM Rohtak entrance exam consists of multiple sections, including Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability. All the sections in the IPM Aptitude Test question paper carries multiple-choice questions. There are no subjective questions in the IPM AT exam. Each question carries four marks. One mark will be deducted from the total score for each incorrect answer. The students have to complete the exam within two hours or 120 minutes. IPM AT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak, for admission to integrated MBA programme offered by the institute. The exam pattern for IPM AT is as follows: 

Section 1: Verbal Ability: This section tests the candidate's English language skills. It consists of 40 MCQs. The section tests the candidate's understanding of topics such as Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, etc.

For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded four marks each and for every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted from the overall score. This means, if the candidate has got ten correct answers, then, he/she will be awarded 40 marks in the total score. The IPM AT question paper has sectional timing of 40 minutes per section which the students must adhere to. 

IPMAT and IPM Aptitude Test (IIM Rohtak) have similar syllabus but the difficulty level is different. Both exams have Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability sections. However, IIM Rohtak's IPMAT exam has an additional section- Logical Reasoning. While IPM Aptitude Test is an easy exam, IIM Indore's IPMAT is moderately tough but to say which is better totally depends upon the college a candidate is targeting for the five-year integrated programme. The participating colleges for both exams are different. If a candidate's dream college accepts IPMAT score, then they should appear for IPMAT exam. The IPMAT exam conducted by IIM Indore is accepted by other institutes such as IIFT, IIM Ranchi, Nirma University,  Alliance University,  NICMAR University,  Department of Management Studies and NALSAR University of Law. The benefit of IPMAT by IIM Indore is that the exam is accepted by multiple top management insitutes in country, whereas the one conducted by IIM Rohtak is only accepted by IIM Rohtak. 

The duration of the IPM AT exam is decided by the exam conducting authority, IIM Rohtak. The IPM Aptitude Test is conducted every year in the computer-based test mode across various test centres in the country. The duration of the exam is two hours or 120 minutes. The candidates appearing for the IPM AT must know that there is a sectional time limit of 40 minutes per section. There are three sections in the IPM AT exam and each section is to be attempted within the limited time frame.
