How to Prepare for Tamil Nadu 12th exam 2025?

Students can check the TN 12th preparation tips below.

Solve Previous Year question papers

The students must practice and solve previous years’ question papers and the available TN 12th sample papers. Practicing previous year question papers will improve the speed of solving problems. It builds confidence in the students. It will also help them to reduce their anxiety and fear during the actual exam.

Revision

The last few days of the examination are often stressful for the students. Therefore, the students should spend their time revising rather than studying. The students should make sure to complete the portions before the study leave. It is also advised that the students pay more attention on important topics and diagrams and keep practicing them.

The students must be aware of the marking scheme and the score weightage of every topic. This will free them from spending too much time on a topic which is not as important as some other concept.

Make short notes

The students can maintain flashcards of the important definitions and concepts which are repetitive in the exams. They can make short notes of important formulas and theorems. These notes will be useful for a quick revision during the last few days before the exam.

Know paper pattern

Students appearing for the exam should understand the pattern of the question paper. They should be aware of important topics and vital concepts that have a higher chance of being asked during the exam. By knowing this early, students can save some time and prepare duly. They must complete with the basics first and stick to the TN 12th syllabus. Students must realize that questions under some sections will be asked from the same chapter repetitively. It is recommended that candidates learn them thoroughly and be confident during examination.

Learn Diagrams

Students should master all the important diagrams and flowcharts before the final examination. Precise diagrams and their markings are the plus points for students aiming for full percentile. They also should be aware of all terminologies and diagram related questions. It is advised that the students practice diagrams regularly to save time while writing the paper.

Presentation tips

With the motive of earning more marks, the students don’t give enough attention to the presentation of the paper during examination.

  • Write the paper neatly and make sure to draw all the diagrams with a sharp pencil.
  • Use a ruler to label the parts of the diagrams.
  • Underline the important points and the key words.
  • Start every section on a new page.
  • Include diagrams even when they are not asked. This technique should not be used for two mark questions. This beneficiary for three marks and five marks questions.
  • The paper should be written with smartness. The students should refrain from writing unnecessary points as it will waste their time.
  • The students should try to save up some time at the end so that they can cross check their answers and can make the necessary changes if needed. It is important that the answers are double checked as they are the boosters for scoring extra marks.
  • It is advised that the student finish with the long answers at the beginning and then complete the short answers and the one mark questions during the end.

The students should not only depend on these tips rather they also should work hard and aspire to become successful in their examinations. They should realize that they are not the methods but motivating factors to achieve the set goal.
