Q:   Can I get admission in Aditya Engineering College for B.Tech with 60% in Class 12th?

A:

Unfortunately, it's difficult to predict your chances of admission into Aditya Engineering College for B.Tech. solely based on your 60% in Class 12. While this score is decent, several factors influence the selection process, making it more nuanced than just marks. Here's a breakdown of what might play a role:

Entrance Exams:

  • Most engineering colleges in India require applicants to score well in national or state-level entrance exams like JEE Main or WBJEE. Check if Aditya Engineering College considers these exams and what the minimum cut-off scores are for your desired B.Tech. program. Aiming for scores above the cut-off will strengthen your application.

Other Selection Criteria:

  • Some colleges might have additional selection criteria like personal interviews, group discussions, or weighting for specific subjects in 12th grade, like mathematics or physics. Research the specific selection process of Aditya Engineering College to understand what other factors they consider.

Reservation and Quota Seats:

  • Depending on your caste, gender, or disability status, you might be eligible for reservation or quota seats, potentially lowering the required score for admission. Familiarize yourself with the college's reservation policies and utilize them if applicable.

Program Availability and Competition:

  • The specific B.Tech. programme you choose can also impact your chances. Popular programs might have higher cut-off scores and more competition compared to less in-demand ones. Consider your interests and research the competition levels for the different programs offered by Aditya Engineering College.

Overall Profile:

  • While marks are crucial, colleges often look at the applicant's holistic profile. Extracurricular activities, achievements in olympiads or competitions, relevant work experience, and strong recommendation letters can add value to your application and potentially compensate for slightly lower marks.

Reach out to the college:

  • Don't hesitate to contact the admissions department of Aditya Engineering College directly. They can provide the most up-to-date information on admission requirements, specific weights for different factors, and guidance on strengthening your application.

Remember, a 60% in Class 12 doesn't necessarily close the door on your B.Tech. aspirations. By understanding the selection process, strategically preparing for entrance exams, and highlighting your strengths, you can still increase your chances of securing admission into Aditya Engineering College.

Q:   Can I join Aditya Engineering College directly?

A:

No, you cannot directly join Aditya Engineering College (AEC) without going through the official admission process. AEC, like most engineering colleges in India, adheres to specific eligibility criteria and selection procedures for enrolling students. These criteria and procedures are put in place to ensure that only qualified and deserving candidates are admitted to the college. Therefore, it is important for all aspiring students to follow the official admission process and meet the required criteria to have a chance of getting admitted to AEC.

Here's what you need to understand about joining AEC:

Admissions process for B.Tech. programs:

  • Qualifying Exams: Applicants must qualify for the AP EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Medical, and Dental Entrance Test), which is the primary selection criterion for B.Tech admissions at AEC.

  • Eligibility Requirements: Minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories) in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

  • Selection Process: Admission is granted based on merit rank obtained in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, followed by counselling and seat allocation procedures.

For other programs:

  • MCA and MBA programs: Admissions are conducted through separate entrance exams, namely AP PGECET and Andhra Pradesh ICET, respectively.

  • Diploma programs: Specific entrance exams or merit-based selection processes might be applicable, depending on the chosen program.

Direct admission scenarios (limited):

  • Management Quota: Some colleges might reserve a few seats under the Management Quota, where admission might be possible through personal contact or donation, but this varies and might not be applicable at AEC.

  • Lateral Entry: If you have completed a Diploma in Engineering, you might be eligible for lateral entry to the second year of the B.Tech programme through designated exam scores or merit-based selection.

Recommendations:

  • Follow the official admissions process: Focus on preparing for the relevant entrance exams for your desired programme (AP EAMCET, Andhra Pradesh PGECET, Andhra Pradesh ICET, etc.).

  • Stay updated on college announcements: Check the official website of AEC and relevant portals for updated information on eligibility criteria, application deadlines, and selection procedures.

  • Seek guidance: You can seek guidance from career counselors or college representatives for detailed information and support throughout the application process.

  • AEC Official Website: Navigate to the "Fees" section or specific programme page. Look for fee details for your chosen B.Tech. programme and category.

  • Admission Brochure: Download the latest admission brochure from the AEC website. It usually includes detailed fee structures for various UG programs.

  • Contact the Admissions Office: If you have any doubts or need clarification on the fee structure, directly contact the AEC Admissions Office.

Here are some general pointers about UG fees at AEC:

  • Fees are generally higher than at government colleges but might be lower than at some private colleges.

  • There might be scholarship options available for meritorious students.

  • Consider the total cost of attendance, including tuition, hostel, food, and other expenses, when making your decision.

It is important to note that the fee structure mentioned in the admission brochure is subject to change. Therefore, it is advisable to contact the admissions office for the most updated information. Additionally, it is recommended to carefully review the scholarship options and eligibility criteria provided by AEC to explore potential financial assistance opportunities.

On Cutoffs

Q:   What are the cutoff marks required for B.Tech at Aditya Engineering College?

A:

The 2023 expected cutoff for the general category at Aditya Engineering College is between 12,000th and 100,000th rank. For the SC category, the cutoff is between 13,000th and 175,000th rank. The BCA category cutoff is between 21,000th and 130,000th rank.

Placements are good. Infrastructure is somewhat good, and facilities are average.
Placements: Above 50% of students are placed in company placements, but not all. The highest salary package offered was 25 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. AI/ML students have been placed well in the past few years. Recently, one of our students got selected for an internship.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is very slow, and hostel facilities are not very good. Mess is average, and classrooms are good, but not exceptional. Labs are average in terms of facilities. Medical facilities are available at my college and are good. However, there are many restrictions when it comes to playing sports and games.
Faculty: Some faculty members are helpful, and the quality of teaching is somewhat good. I think the semester examinations are quite difficult, but I’m not sure about the pass percentage since I am a first-year student. Course curriculum seems relevant.

Satisfaction because of friends and some of our faculty.
Placements: Students with a CGPA above 7 were placed, but due to the recession, jobs have been reduced. The highest package is 32 CTC, offered by a Japanese company. Our college has an agreement with Zenken, so we also have Japanese companies recruiting. The lowest package is 2 LPA. Roles offered are back-end developer, full-stack developer, tester, and non-technical roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but sometimes the projectors don't work. They are currently renovating the college. The labs are good, and lab technicians are very friendly and helpful. The library is excellent, air-conditioned, and has a good atmosphere.
Faculty: Faculty members explain the concepts, but the rest we have to learn ourselves; self-learning is best. Semesters depend on your preparation. Our college has become a university, so issues and other college problems have been resolved. The college environment is good.

Good infrastructure and food compared to other private institutions.
Placements: All the students who were eligible for placement were placed that year. Companies like DXC, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Hexaware were the mass recruiters. Placement began at the end of the 5th semester and continued until the very last semester. They focus a lot on getting everyone placed by hook or crook. If you are a little sincere, you will do well.
Infrastructure: The campus is large, with multiple colleges and different curricula, including pharma, business, tech, polytechnic, and degree programs. There are multiple grounds and buildings with CCTV surveillance everywhere, so you can’t escape easily. There are separate washrooms, and the balcony is shared by six people. There are three types of messes: south Indian, north Indian, and Kerala food available. And yes, even though I am from the north, the south Indian food tastes better in quality and taste.
Faculty: The faculty is average. While there are good teachers and supporting staff, the overall reviews are average due to about 10% of the faculty. However, they are improving and have recruited professors from across the country, which is helping a lot. Don’t worry too much about this; in the end, it’s you who has to study, and there is a lot of online content available today. Anyone can easily make it these days.
Other: Veda Tech Fest, go-karting, Pharma Fest, hostel farewell, Ganpati Puja, crowd shows, film promotions, sports, and many more activities happen. You just need to be active to know about all of it going on.

The library facilities also have a lot of books related to the course as well as general knowledge. The food that is available in the hostel is hygienic and good to eat, and the campus itself has medical facilities that students can easily utilize.
Faculty: The teachers who are coming to teach are well knowledgeable and friendly in nature with students and encourage students to get better knowledge about subjects. The core curriculum is very understandable, and a student can easily learn what is what and be ready to get work while he gets a job too. The semester exams are a little bit difficult, but if we learn the subject, it is easy to pass the semester easily. The pass percentage is nearly about 80% easily.
Other: The course that is chosen is challenging and interesting to learn about new technology, like transforms and electrical equipment that are used in day-to-day life. The things that can be done better to build up new projects around the world. And the events and festivals were conducted on the whole campus while a special occasion came. • Attend webinars or information sessions: If available, attend events hosted by either university to learn more about their programs and campus life.

  • Talk to current students or alumni: Gain firsthand insights into the academic atmosphere, campus life, and overall experience at each institution.

  • Prioritize your individual needs: Consider what matters most to you in a B.Tech programme and choose the university that best aligns with your goals and aspirations.

Q:   Can I get B.Tech at Aditya Engineering College with 75 percentile in JEE?

A:

While having a 75 percentile score in JEE Mains is definitely impressive, unfortunately, directly gaining admission to B.Tech. programs at Aditya Engineering College solely based on that score is not possible. This is because Aditya Engineering College primarily relies on AP EAMCET scores for B.Tech admissions. JEE Mains scores are not directly used as a criterion for selection. Instead, Aditya Engineering College considers JEE Mains scores for eligibility purposes, allowing students to apply for the B.Tech. program. However, the final admission decision is based on the candidate's performance in Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, which holds more weight in the selection process.

However, your good JEE score can still indirectly benefit your application in a few ways:

  • Demonstrates strong academics: A high JEE score showcases strong foundations in math,  physics,  and chemistry,  crucial subjects for engineering studies. This can positively impact your application by highlighting your academic potential.

  • Borderline cases: In situations where candidates have similar Andhra Pradesh EAMCET scores,  a good JEE score might be considered as a tie-breaker to prioritize applicants with stronger academic backgrounds.

  • Specific situations: The college might consider JEE scores in specific situations mentioned in their admission brochure,  such as for transfer admissions or specific scholarship programs.

Therefore, while your JEE score won't guarantee admission directly, it can still indirectly strengthen your application in certain scenarios.

Here's what you can do to maximize your chances of getting a B.Tech seat at Aditya Engineering College:

  • Focus on Andhra Pradesh EAMCET: Ensure you perform well in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET to secure a competitive rank. This is the primary determinant for B.Tech admissions at AEC.

  • Highlight your JEE score: Mention your JEE score in your application form and during the interview (if there is one) to showcase your academic strengths.

  • Check the admission brochure: Carefully read the official admission brochure of AEC to understand if and how JEE scores are considered in specific situations.

  • Consider alternative colleges: If AEC is your top choice,  prioritize performing well in Andhra Pradesh EAMCET. However,  explore other reputable colleges that accept JEE scores for B.Tech admissions as a backup option.

Remember, admission to B.Tech programs at AEC can be competitive, and a combination of a good Andhra Pradesh EAMCET score and additional factors like your JEE score can increase your chances of success. In addition, it is important to highlight any relevant extracurricular activities or achievements that demonstrate your passion and dedication in the field of engineering. These can include participating in robotics competitions, conducting research projects, or volunteering for engineering-related organizations. By showcasing your well-roundedness and commitment to the field, you can further strengthen your application to AEC's B.Tech. program.
