Q:   Can I get into AIIMS Delhi without NEET?

A:

The answer will be both yes and no. Getting into AIIMS Delhi without NEET is possible since AIIMS Delhi offers a lot of courses apart from MBBS, such as BSc, MSc, PB BSc Nursing, MD, MS, DM and MCh, among various others. Admission to all these courses is either subject to an institute-specific entrance exam or INICET.

However, if the ultimate objective is to crack AIIMS New Delhi for MBBS, a student has to go through the NEET UG entrance exam followed by the counselling process. If the ranking and score obtained in the exam match with the minimum requirement of the institution, the student will get admission here for MBBS, otherwise not.

Q:   What are the USPs of AIIMS Delhi campus?

A:

Other than the beautiful, wi-fi enabled campus and a well maintained hostel and teaching campus, AIIMS New Delhi set up an Innovation Facilitation Division in 2017 for accommodating AIIMS faculty and scientists as incubatees. A Bio-Park is also under construction. MoU with other incubators to invite the startups for commercial ventures is also signed. AIIMS Delhi established a Centre for Integrative Medicine and Research (CIMR) in 2016 with an aim to build a convergence of contemporary medicine with India’s ancient and traditional medical practices. CIMR is dedicated to research, documentation and delivery of holistic healthcare. A patent has been granted to ‘Sealbio: a novel non-obturation regenerative technique of endodontic treatment’.

Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for B.Sc. students at AIIMS Delhi?

A:
{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Placement Cell: Securing Jobs for B.Sc. Students at AIIMS Delhi

Unfortunately, it appears that AIIMS Delhi does not have a dedicated Placement Cell to secure jobs for its B.Sc. students. According to student reviews:

* "After completing the course, you will be able to choose from a variety of options, such as joining AIIMS itself on a contract basis by giving an interview." (No mention of a placement cell)
* "There is no placement cell or any placement facility after the completion of a course by the college." (Multiple students mentioned this)

This suggests that AIIMS Delhi does not offer formal assistance with job placements for its B.Sc. students, leaving students to find employment opportunities independently. However, some students did mention that they were able to secure jobs at AIIMS Delhi's hospital or private institutions after completing their studies.

Q:   Which one is better for a MBBS, AIIMs Mangalagiri or MBBS, AIIMs Delhi?

A:

Both AIIMS Mangalagiri and AIIMS Delhi are prestigious institutions and offer high-quality medical education. It's difficult to say which one is better as both institutions have their unique strengths and weaknesses. Here are some factors to consider:

1. Reputation: AIIMS Delhi is the original and the oldest AIIMS institution, and it has a long-standing reputation for excellence in medical education and research. However, AIIMS Mangalagiri, being a newer institution, is also rapidly gaining recognition and reputation in the medical community.

2. Faculty: Both institutions have highly qualified and experienced faculty members, but AIIMS Delhi has a larger faculty base, which may provide students with more opportunities for interaction and guidance.

3. Infrastructure: AIIMS Delhi has more extensive infrastructure, including a larger campus and more specialised facilities. However, AIIMS Mangalagiri is also rapidly expanding and improving its infrastructure.

4. Research opportunities: Both institutions have a strong emphasis on research, but AIIMS Delhi has a larger research output and more established research programs.

5. Clinical exposure: Both institutions have tie-ups with reputed hospitals, but AIIMS Delhi has more extensive clinical facilities and a larger patient volume, which may provide students with more diverse clinical exposure.

Ultimately, the choice between AIIMS Mangalagiri and AIIMS Delhi will depend on individual preferences, such as proximity to home, campus facilities, and research interests. Both institutions offer high-quality medical education, and students can expect a rigorous and challenging academic experience at either institution.

Q:   Why is AIIMS New Delhi the best medical institute in India?

A:

Considered one of the top medical institutes in India, AIIMS gets a lot of support from the government in terms of funding, but what really sets them apart is their dedicated faculty members, extremely low fee, exposure to the field and a lot more. As per a verified student's review on Shiksha, "Students are provided with many job opportunities. They can also continue with their studies (MD/MS) if pursuing MBBS from AIIMS Delhi. Almost 90%-100% of students get selected in the same college or other top hospitals in India". While the private colleges charge extremely hefty fee amounts that even go up to 1 crore for their medical courses, the same can be obtained from AIIMS New Delhi at a tuition fee as low as INR 6,080 for the complete course. Additionally, the institute got ranked at the first position by NIRF in 2022 under the Medical category.

Supportive nature of faculty members for students.
Placements: Internship is for 1 year after 4.5 year course of MBBS It has to be done in AIIMS Rishikesh only. Stipend in internship is 30,000 per month In this, we learn a lot from patients. We go to rural areas also for learning. The academics at this college is the best.
Infrastructure: The annual function, PYREXIA, was held last year. It was very good, and I enjoyed it a lot. This year it is going to happen in October. There is a good library in college that has almost all the books required in MBBS. They also provide us with a free subscription to an online platform for studying.
Faculty: faculty members-to-student ratio is around 15:1. The best faculty for me was Dr. Brijendra Singh because they helped me a lot during my first year of MBBS. Some faculty members in their third year were not too good because they used to scold students and they taught very little. A total of 4 times exams are conducted and they are moderately hard.

Absolutely satisfied loved my journey
Placements: AIIMS Delhi gives us better infrastructure of course because in all over India AIIMS Delhi is on top. If we talk about internship salary they will give us highest salary as compared to other colleges. The doctors they provide was of course highly qualified (NEET top ranker).
Infrastructure: If we talk about facilities and infrastructure of course no doubt. They will give us best environment for outdoor game, study, tea breaks , enjoy with our batch mates and what not. If we talk about quality of mess food I say not best but not bad, it was moderate.
Faculty: The professors at AIIMS was really highly qualified and experienced of course. They provide us better quality of education that help me nowadays, I love them. MBBS is tough but I must say you enjoy your 5years journey and internship and all. If we talk about passing percentage is 70%.
Other: When you enter in AIIMS Delhi after getting top rank in NEET UG exam which is conducted by NTA. AIIMS Delhi organized a welcome feast for you. There will scholarship option. They will also provide you some guest like singers for enjoyment.

Review of my dream college AIIMS, Delhi.
Placements: Internships are provided to all students in the AIIMS hospital only, which is included in the 4-year degree program, while placements are provided in all AIIMS hospitals after clearing the NORCET exam with a good score. One can also apply for jobs at other Delhi government medical colleges, which also offer good pay. In AIIMS, Delhi, the starting salary of a nursing officer is around 75k.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi facility is provided in the hostel room and library. Classrooms are well-equipped with digital screens and air conditioning. Along with that, we are also provided with swimming pool, gym, library, reading rooms, and sports areas for table tennis, badminton, basketball, volleyball, etc. Mess and canteen food quality is fine. Medical facilities, including free treatment and medicine, is provided to all students.
Faculty: The faculty is amazing and focused more on the real-life application of theory classes. Interacting with patients in the first year only gives good exposure. The course curriculum is fine but sometimes it feels irrelevant as the syllabus is very vast, which may not be useful to us as nursing officers. Exams are conducted annually with an average difficult level and a pass percentage of 40%.
Other: I chose this course as it provided me with a secure future with good pay. Also, how can I keep myself from living life at my dream college? Everything is good but I felt that mess shouldn't be compulsory for all and the stipend should be increased from Rs 500 per month. The connectivity of the college is good with metro and bus services and who can forget the biggest festival of AIIMS Delhi, i.e., PULSE. Many interesting societies are there to develop our personalities and, of course, a good patient load for a medico.

Campus is big. People can enjoy their campus life.
Placements: Students from the fourth semester are eligible for placements. Companies like ZIFO and Bharat Biotech visited the college lately. TCG life Science visited the university, and 5 students were placed from our department. Minimum salary package is 3 to 4lacs pa and the maximum is 7lacs pa. if students are interested in further studies after their Masters, i.e. Ph.D, then this college would be the best but not for placements.
Infrastructure: In first year, you get a room for 2 people, and it contains a cart, almirah, a study room, continuing a study table, a chair, a sink and there are messes in every hostel with different types of food. There are no separate washrooms.
Faculty: I chose this course because I want to go ahead with biotechnology as a career. Faculty of biotechnology are great personalities with thorough knowledge of the subjects and industrial knowledge as well. There's a positive interaction between students and faculty members.
