Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Academic Excellence and Green Campus.
Placements: In my computer engineering branch, students have good opportunities, especially in IT companies. The placement percentage can vary from year to year, but the placement rate is 75 to 85%. Students are placed in top companies like TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI, ACCENTURE, etc. These companies offer the best salary packages to students, with the average package being 3 to 4 LPA and the maximum package is 8 to 12 LPA. Computer engineering students typically secure internships in IT companies, startups, and research projects. The most common roles for computer engineering graduates are Front-End Developer, Back-End Developer, Full Stack Developer, and Software Engineers hired by IT firms.
Infrastructure: Our college provides Wi-Fi across the campus, including in hostels, libraries, which helps students for online learning, stay connected with online courses, etc. Computer labs feature modern i7 computers for programming practicals and other works. Classrooms are specially designed, with projectors, smart boards, comfortable seating arrangements, and collaborative spaces for group discussions. The library is well-stocked with learning books, and study areas are available for students. Study timings for students are from 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM. Our college has two hostels for boys—one is separate for first and second-year students—and two hostels for girls. Rooms generally have Wi-Fi access and proper electricity. The mess offers a variety of food for students, trying to make the best and healthiest food for students. The canteen offers a variety of breakfasts for students like snacks, poha, vada pav, etc.
Faculty: Our college teachers help students with their studies and other problems. Most of the faculty is Ph.D. in their respective fields, and others are specialized in their respective courses. They focus on giving practical-based learning rather than theoretical. AVCOE is under Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and follows the SPPU syllabus. The curriculum is generally updated to new trends in technology and industry practices, like internships, skill development, etc. Semester exams in AVCOE can be challenging, especially in core engineering subjects, where students are expected to have a strong grasp of both theoretical and practical applications. The pass percentage can vary based on the difficulty of the semester exams. In general, AVCOE has a decent pass rate.
Other: My personal interest and passion in my course offer a lot of career opportunities to get a potential job in top MNCs. AVCOE organizes a big event for around 30 years, and other college-level events are organized for students to show their skills and improve stage daring, confidence, and communication skills.

Amrut vahini college of engineering.
Placements: Placements are pretty good, especially in tech branches, but non-tech students also get good placements. The average package is around 4.5 lakh annually. The highest package offered by tech companies is 12 LPA, and for non-tech companies, it is 8 LPA. The staff is fully supportive of placements.
Infrastructure: The college campus is very large and full of greenery. In the monsoon season, it has another level of beauty. Faculty members are very good and supportive, always available for students' problems. Buildings and lab infrastructure are very good and clean. All the practical instruments are available in the labs.
Faculty: Teachers are very nice and talented, with PhDs. They are always available and supportive of all students. All teachers are good at teaching and explaining practical concepts. They also help with final-year projects and assist other students.
Other: All types of scholarships are available in college. For hostelers, there is another type of scholarship. The college has its own scholarship, named the Amrut Scholarship, which is given to students who score more than 9.5 SGPA every semester.

There are no extracurricular activities or significant academic activities in the college.
Placements: The college has an average placement opportunity with companies like TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, etc. Mass recruiting companies offer salaries ranging from 3 LPA to 4 LPA, and only 30% of students were placed. Core branch companies do not visit the college, and junior site engineer roles are offered in this placement drive. The college does not take any responsibility for internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities in this campus are lacking. The management is not very active, and it has an old-style college campus. The college does not organize many events, but the sports facilities are good. There are no cultural events, and compared to other colleges providing updated facilities, this college is not very proactive about student welfare.
Faculty: Faculty members frequently change between semesters, and they are not qualified. They are unaware of university exams and placements, leaving students uninformed about exams and opportunities. As a result, the college's results are not satisfactory, and some students remain unemployed.

Great college with great faculty and resources.
Placements: In year 2023-2024, there are about 85 percent of placements done in top MNCs. The highest package offered in the computer engineering course is 12 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and the average package is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Capgemini, Accenture, TCS, etc. The top roles offered in the computer engineering course are software engineer, software tester, data engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available in our college is above average. You can experience the green campus. The hostel facilities are too good, with 24/7 high-speed Wi-Fi and 24/7 RO water. The hostel and campus are just at a walking distance. There are 4 messes in the hostel with great food taste and variety.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful and encourage the weak students to pursue their dreams and passion. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. qualified. They are all good at teaching their subjects. As the course curriculum for our batch is designed by SPPU University, I think it should be industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because I have a keen interest in building different types of software. The best thing about our course is the teachers who are teaching us and the different clubs which encourage me to do more in my life.

Good placements and infrastructure.
Placements: In our college, placement has been good for the last few years. The highest package that students receive from recruiting companies is of near about 1 crores. And the maximum number of students get a placed during the internship programme. One more thing about our college is that, they help us develop new skills.
Infrastructure: Let's talk about hostel facilities. There are the best hostels provided by our college which help the students who live away from the college area. These hostels have an immense amount of facilities like water, Wi-Fi, and electricity. The hostel staff, are very caring.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. All the staff from our college is well qualified, and they make us ready for exams. The quality of teaching provided is essential for exams, and they also make us ready for industrial visits and placement programmes through our alumini.
