Is it Worth Pursuing BE/BTech at Arasu Engineering College?

Based on the reviews from current students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good infrastructure, including well-equipped labs, libraries, and hostels
    * Experienced and knowledgeable faculty members, with many holding PG/PhD qualifications
    * Industry visits arranged regularly, providing hands-on experience
    * Decent placement record, with some students securing decent salaries (Rs 8,000 - 15 LPA)
    * Opportunities for internship and extracurricular activities

    Cons:

    * Limited exposure to cutting-edge technologies and topics (e.g., ML, AI) due to outdated curriculum
    * Strict rules regarding mobile phones and electronic devices on campus
    * Average-quality food and lack of sports facilities
    * Some students report difficulties in accessing Wi-Fi and feeling restricted in terms of personal freedoms

    Placement Record:

    * While some students reported getting placed in reputed companies (Airtel, Wipro, Karur Vysya Bank), others mentioned limited opportunities and low salaries (Rs 6,000 - 8,000 per month)

Overall, while Arasu Engineering College may have its strengths, particularly in terms of infrastructure and faculty quality, it seems to struggle with keeping pace with modern technological advancements and providing adequate support for students' personal growth and development.

If you're considering enrolling in BE/BTech at Arasu Engineering College, weigh these factors carefully and research further to determine whether it aligns with your expectations and goals.

Course Curriculum Structuring at Arasu Engineering College

Based on the reviews from students and alumni, the course curriculum at Arasu Engineering College for B.E./B.Tech programs appears to be outdated and lacking in certain areas, such as Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The curriculum mainly focuses on abstract mathematics, which may not be directly applied in real-life situations.

    Here are some key takeaways:

    * Outdated curriculum: The college's affiliation with Anna University means that the curriculum has not been updated to include newer subjects or topics.
    * Limited focus on practical applications: The emphasis on abstract mathematics suggests that there may not be sufficient attention given to practical applications and problem-solving skills.
    * Teaching style: Faculty members may prioritize teaching according to the syllabus rather than focusing on hands-on learning experiences.

It is essential to note that these concerns seem to be echoed across multiple student reviews, indicating potential issues with the course structure. However, individual experiences may vary depending on personal preferences and goals.

Remember to carefully evaluate the curriculum when considering admission to any educational institution. It is crucial to assess whether the programme aligns with your interests, career aspirations, and expectations.

College life is heaven, good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Currently only 5 members from our course get placed other are trying to reach out but sure they will get placed in top MNC's even though we are in the slow process we are developing our self for the placement and sure our branch student attend their goal.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available but most probably they not gave permission to access, labs are good enough for the environment such that good environment gives peace to the mind and gave interest in studies, library literally every one gets benefit from every books, mess food is not enough good.
Faculty: Mostly every teachers are high knowledge person they teach the stuff in very good manner they are good in that matter but they are not student friendly, yes they make student industry ready but producing extra courses, semester exams are conducted by Anna university it's quite similar from other anna university affiliated college.
Other: Every year our department of computer Science and engineering conduct the National Level Technical symposium it always goes well people from other college get eagerly participate in that.

Arasu Engineering College is really the best college.
Placements: Arasu Engineering College has good infrastructure and placements. These college alumni students were very helpful to our placements. This college conducts more placement interviews every year. In my batch (2021), 98 percent of students were placed. Tech Mahindra, TCS, Ashok Leyland, etc.: these companies provide more job opportunities.
Infrastructure: The Arasu Engineering College campus and environment were very nice. More comfortable classrooms and hi-tech laboratory facilities are available at this college. Full campus Wi-Fi and CCTV camera facilities are available. Boys and girls hostel facilities are available in this college. Hostel food tastes good. This college has a limited number of sports grounds.
Faculty: This college staff is made up of highly qualified professionals. They are more experienced in the teaching profession. They conduct more practical-oriented classes. They are arranging more paper presentations and workshop events. 98 percent of students passed in my batch (2021). This college course and curriculum were excellent.
Other: Arasu Engineering College provides good transportation facilities. This college management gives more scholarships and certificates to well-studied students. Every year, this college conducts annual day functions and more cultural events.

    Review of Arasu Engineering College.
Placements: The placements are very poor. No big companies came here, and only small data entry companies came for campus interviews. The salary offered is only 6,000-8,000 per month. Many students are not interested in placements because the companies aren't good, and they offer very low packages.
Infrastructure: We are strictly not allowed to use mobiles and two wheelers in college. There is no Wi-Fi. Labs are very small, and the staff are very few. Food is not up to the mark. They don't offer non-vegetarian foods. There are no well-trained sports staff. The management is not willing to encourage sports. There are no medical facilities.
Faculty: The faculty are not well-trained. Only freshers are working here as teachers. There are no experienced teachers. They follow and teach only the syllabus, and it is very difficult to work in companies with limited knowledge. After passing out, we only know that this knowledge is not enough to face the company interviews, and I personally faced this difficulty. The pass percentage is average. Semester exams are very difficult.
Other: I am very much interested in the electrical field because we can't live without electricity now, so this field has good scope. The academic syllabus is not enough to go to the industries. We need to grow practically. So, they teach practically and also technically. They need to arrange more industrial visits, and it also helps us improve our knowledge. The college should provide the placement training and concentrate on this area.

Dissatisfied because of college faculty and management.
Placements: I don't know about past year, but this year they offered just 1 company for placement. Still now they are not conducting any new placement. They are not offering any new additional courses in college. They are teaching only what are the things that need to pass exam.
Infrastructure: We paid library fees for every year but they didn't allot a library period. We can go only in a interval or lunch break. They said free wi-fi available in college but they didn't offer a network. Lab's are really good and more number of system are available.
Faculty: The faculty members are teaching only what are the things that need to Pass the exam and they didn't teach any new things. Just teach what are things in a book. But some of them are knowledgeable. They're not teaching industry and work places. It is not a college. They are treating like school students.
