    Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at Ashoka Institute of Technology and Management a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good faculty with some highly qualified and experienced professors
    * Well-equipped laboratories and infrastructure
    * Library resources are adequate
    * Hostel facilities are available
    * Placement opportunities exist, although mostly in non-core companies
    * Some notable companies visit the campus for recruitment, such as Bharat Electronics Limited, IBM, Wipro, and Genpact

    Cons:

    * Lack of practical training and experimental learning
    * Poor placements in core industries, particularly for students pursuing courses like Electronics and Communication Engineering
    * Limited internship opportunities
    * Some students report poor facilities in the boys' hostel
    * Strict rules and regulations may limit personal freedom

    Teaching Quality:

    * Many faculty members are well-qualified and knowledgeable in their fields
    * Teaching quality is generally good, with some professors providing individual attention and guidance
    * Course structure could be improved, however

    Campus Life:

    * The campus has a mix of positive and negative aspects, with some reviewers mentioning cleanliness, Wi-Fi availability, and library facilities being good, while others mention poor food quality and limited recreational spaces

    Overall Assessment:

    While Ashoka Institute of Technology and Management has some strengths, such as good faculty and decent infrastructure, it falls short in terms of practical training and placement opportunities in core industries. Students seeking a strong foundation in theoretical concepts and practical application might find the college suitable, but those expecting robust career prospects might want to consider alternative options. Ultimately, the decision to choose this institution depends on individual priorities and goals.

    It is a good college in the home state of Varanasi.
    Placements: There was a good package offered last year in the Computer Science and Engineering branch. Approximately 70% of students were placed in the last year. The highest salary package offered by a company was 30 LPA for all branches, and the average salary package offered ranges from 7-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Deloitte, Redbus, HCL, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and many reputed companies visited the college for placements.
    Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The hostel and classrooms are also fully Wi-Fi enabled. Labs and the library are available. There are both girl's and boys hostels. Mess food is hygienic and tasty. Canteen and medical support are available. Sports and games areas are available on campus for better health and enjoyment of students.
    Faculty: Here you will find well-qualified and M.Tech graduate teachers. They help you to reach out to your goal company placement. Their technical teaching system is very supportive of placements, but students also have to do hard work. The course curriculum is good. Semester exams are difficult, so students have to work hard to get good results.
    Other: This is a tier 3 college but I took admission here because it is near to my home. Therefore I can go there easily in the holidays. I think they should improve their alumni network for better placements. Events and fests are oganised from time to time. The campus is fully crowded. It is a good place at Varanasi traditional place. Government scholarships are available. It conducts extracurricular activities like basketball, badminton, and kabaddi. It also has many clubs for entertainment.

    I am happy to share my college infrastructure and management details.
    Placements: In my department, the students complete their 3rd year and 6th semester, and they will be eligible to apply for internship and placement offers. The percentage of placements in my college is 40 to 55%. The internship percentage is 40%, and companies that visited include TCS, Infosys, etc.
    Infrastructure: When we talk about my college infrastructure, it is very good, and my department is very good. Yes, the college provides free Wi-Fi, classrooms have a full air-conditioning system, smart boards, etc. The lab facilities are not bad. I am not a hostel, so I don't know about that. Thank you.
    Faculty: Yes, my college's faculty members are very good because they are helpful to all students. In my college, the teachers are Ph.D. holders and IITians, so they have a lot of knowledge. The semester exams are not too difficult, but if you have not read your syllabus, the paper will be hard for you. The passing percentage is 80 to 85%.
    Other: Yes, in our country, the mobile telecom companies are not too good because they do not make IC chips and motherboards. That is why I chose this course: to develop my country.

    College is good for the same city people, but not another states.
    Placements: In my college, they provide 60–70% placements. And the recruiting companies will be Renex, TCS, Wipro, etc. And for the faculty, they are very supportive; even some of them are friendly with scholars.
    Infrastructure: WiFi is available in our college but it does not work properly in the classroom. The overall infrastructure is good but not up to mark; it does not have separate fields for sports and other things.
    Faculty: Teachers teach very well; they explain the topic; they feel the concepts in theory classes. For the faculty, I would say they have to work more on faculty. Some of them are good, and some of them aren't. I'm not going to take any names.

    Overall, the college was good.
    Placements: 50 percent of students got placed in my course. The highest package was 11 Lacs, and the lowest package was 2-3 Lacs, with the average package being 6-7 Lacs. The companies recruiting in my college are Wipro, Infosys, and Adobe. The percentage of students who got internships was 80%.
    Infrastructure: The classroom was good. The library infrastructure was the best in my college. There is a Wi-Fi issue in college; the Wi-Fi does not work properly. The quality of the food was not good; it was oily. There are no medical facilities in the college or in the hostel. Sports and games are good.
    Faculty: The first-year faculty was very supportive and helpful. They are very knowledgeable and qualified. The teaching quality was good. The difficulty level of the semester exam was moderate. The pass percentage was 60-70% in the semester. Students have to take the exam seriously.
    Other: My course develops the ability to think. In my course, I wish there was something where the students could take their correct guidance about computer languages.

    Ashokians with really good infrastructure and faculty.
    Placements: Most of the students are placed in this field as it is growing day by day. The highest salary package ranges from 10 LPA - 12 LPA and the average salary package ranges from 5 LPA - 6 LPA. Many companies like Byju's, Nescafe, etc., visit the college for placement purposes. Roles offered are mostly in marketing and sales specialisations.
    Infrastructure: Ashoka Institute of Technology and Management has the best library as it consists of all the necessary books and also good content books. Campus is completely surrounded by Wi-Fi. Different branches have different Wi-Fi networks. Infrastructure is also overall good.
    Faculty: Faculty members are very good and supportive in the first year. But as soon as you reach the second year, most of the responsibility falls on one. Teachers are only there for guidance, but most of the things depend on ome. There is very strict copy-checking in the first year, but from the second year, copy-checking becomes quite lenient.
    Other: I chose this college because it is near my house and its fees are also quite low compared to other private colleges.

    College is good, but there are no practicals.
    Placements: Students were placed at 65%. The highest package is 8 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.8 LPA. The top recruiting company for the ECE course is BHARAT ELECTRONICS LIMITED. There are many students who have been selected for BANARAS LOCOMOTIVE WORKS. All students got internships, some of them at Banaras Locomotive Works, BHEL.
    Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, but hostels are available. Labs are okay but not practical, and classrooms are also good. The library is fantastic, and the study materials are also good. The canteen is good but not okay; there is too little time for group play. This college is very strict about rules and regulations.
    Faculty: Yes, the faculty is helpful, well qualified, and well educated. And their teaching quality is good. However, practical knowledge is zero. There is no practical work, and there are no experiments. There are theories where knowledge is good, but practicality is zero.
    Other: I chose ECE because I am interested in electronics and circuits. There is one best thing about my admission there: scholarship-based admission. In this college, I have not improved in my skills or study, and exam time was targeted only to clear the exam.
