Overall, it is a good college in the state.
Placements: It is a state government college. So its placements are not too good. But some students also get good placement, and it depends up to you. Overall it is a good college in the state. The highest salary package offered in our college is approximately 20 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4 LPA - 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is fine. But we can't compare it with IIT and NIT. Along with infrastructure, our college also gives multiple learning programmes in the sports field. It is the best college in Assam after IIT and NIT. A gym facility is also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are a little bit strict, and above average in all other curriculum and other activities. Overall it's a good college in the state.

Really satisfied with the college.
Placements: The placements are quite good. During my tenure, many government PSU visited for campus recruitment. Some of them are IOCL, Oil India, BPCL, BCPL, Powergrid. Many private firms also visited the campus, and some are Hindustan Unilever, Cummins, Ashok Leyland etc., and IT companies such as IBM, TCS, Wipro also came for campus drive.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good. They have to improve a lot concerning the campus keeping in mind the infrastructures of other reputed colleges. The library is quite good. The campus is not Wi-Fi enabled. Sports are given importance here. Quite good hostel facilities are also provided to the student. The college have a hygienic canteen.
Faculty: The faculty members are quite good. They are very helpful. Traditional methods are used to teach in our college, for example they use blackboard and chalk and not the digital one. Our college had tied up with many industries for industrial relevant practical courses.
Other: The cultural fest is Pyrokinesis which held in Feb every year. Few scholarships are also given to the students.

Moderate college life with sweet and salty experiences
Placements: About 70% of the students gets placed here. The highest is about 12-15 lpa and lowest goes to 2.5 lpa.Placement is quite moderate.Top companies like OIL,IOCL,NRL comes for placement. You can also go for gate exams or APSC or UPSC or even as MBA.I recommend IE students to go for Gate as easy for them to score well and get a seat in good IIT
Infrastructure: Wifi, labs, classrooms with digital class equipments, library for the students.you will enjoy the facilities here and enjoy the campus life as well.i would recommend every lower middle class boy or girl to visit here and pursue your btech degree here.go for it
Faculty: Teachers are a bit rude but you can easily cop up with them if u behave well and do as they say. They like good and well behaved students instead of rebel students. So respect them as your elders and obey every single thing they say .you will be enjoying this btech life if u follow my guidelines
Other: Instrumentation is a rare course so easy to go for gate exams

Reputed government. The college has great campus life, less fee (did my BE, in less than Rs.50,000).
Placements: AEC had a history of good placements. PSUs like Oil, IOCL, power grid, HPCL, BPCL, etc. are regular on the campus. There is also an IT recruitment. TCS, Wipro, Accenture are some of IT recruiters. Every year, students get selected into M.Tech courses in IITs and go abroad for the higher studies.
Infrastructure: The campus occupies a huge area of 700 acres of land. There are 8 hostels with a capacity of approximately 100 each. A new hostel with a capacity of 400 borders is coming up. There is the state of the art central computing centre, a library where one can get almost all necessary course books and lab facilities. There is free highspeed internet in the campus.
Faculty: The capable professors who qualify as Assam public service commission exam are only recruited as professors in AEC. They are knowledgeable and friendly. The teaching standard is as per the curriculum requirement. The course thought is very standard and fits the GATE syllabus.
Other: One has to clear the state entrance exam with the rank below 600 (gen) to get admission here. The college fee is very nominal and it is around 8,500 a year. The mess food is extra. Pyrokinesis is the annual tech and cultural fest, and it is one of the finest and the biggest fest in Guwahati. The students are eligible for the various scholarships. The most popular is being from the state government. That provides around Rs.14,000 per annum. The college union is strong and involves in various social initiatives like cleaning of the hood, blood donation camps, education for young, flood relief funds to name a few.

One of the premier engineering colleges in northeast India.
Placements: Placements are good and a number of reputed companies like TCS, Capgemini, Genpact, etc. come for recruitment. The placement process starts from the beginning or at max from the mid of sixth semester. The average package is 4-5 lpa. The overall placement stays between 70-80% of the total batch. I passed out in 2015 and one of the highest paying recruiters was IOCL, which offered a sumptuous salary of 11 lpa. TCS as always was the largest recruiter.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. All the labs are equipped with the latest machinery. There are two types of classrooms. One is the general classroom and the other is the gallery. The library has a great collection of books. All the books that are required for the semester are available. Also, there are many weekly research journals. The medical facility is however not appropriate as the college hospital is hardly visited by any doctor. However, the presence of ayurvedic hospital in the vicinity makes up for the cause. The canteen is a great place to relish oneself if one is a foodie as the pinch to your pocket is on the lower side. There are eight hostels - 7 boys and 1 girls.
Faculty: The faculty is really great. All the professors have a good command in their respective fields and are ever ready to help out the students. Assignments are given to check the understanding of the students regarding the subjects. Internal assessment is also done and marks are given on the basis of class participation. Industrial training is a mandatory part of the curriculum and one has to do it in the sixth semester.
