For 2023, cut off was 5959 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering in IIT Guwahati - Indian Institute of Technology. The cutoff trend for BTech in Engineering Physics at IIT Guwahati - Indian Institute of Technology has been increasing in recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech in Engineering Physics under the General category for all India quota was 5956. In 2022, it increased to 6192. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 3105 to 3284 for OBC, 1905 to 1922 for SC, 1905 to 1101 for ST, 1118 to 1251 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech. 

So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.

Students pursuing BTech from IIT Guwahati can participate in the placement drive of the institute. IIT Guwahati recorded 100% placements across all BTech courses in 2024.  The the highest stipend offered during IIT Guwahati internships 2023 was INR 1.60 LPA.
