AEC is the first undergraduate technical college, having good quality infrastructure and placements.

Placements: The placement scenario of the college is good. Mechanical, civil, electrical, and electronics branch has maximum placements compared to other branches. Approximately 50% of students got placed in the previous batch. Many PSUs, core and IT companies already visited and recruited many students in the past. In the 3rd year, everyone irrespective of their branch gets the opportunity for the industrial as well as institutional training for approximately one and half months. Students also get an overs...

Value for money with a good learning experience but lack of placements.

Placements: Placements of the 2015 batch were't good enough. Around 40-60 % of the batch got placed. Placements were better were electronics and computer Science batches. The average salary offered was around 2.5 LPA. The highest being 12 LPA. Notable companies visiting our campus were TCS, Wipro, Federal Bank, BPCL, L&T infotech, IBM etc. We got full help from the concerned faculty for internship. None were paid though. Placement cell is average at its best. More emphasis is laid on bringing IT companies a...

One of the premier engineering colleges in northeast India.

Placements: Placements are good and a number of reputed companies like TCS, Capgemini, Genpact, etc. come for recruitment. The placement process starts from the beginning or at max from the mid of sixth semester. The average package is 4-5 lpa. The overall placement stays between 70-80% of the total batch. I passed out in 2015 and one of the highest paying recruiters was IOCL, which offered a sumptuous salary of 11 lpa. TCS as always was the largest recruiter.

Every year minimum 4 leading IT companies like TCS, Accenture, Wipro, IBM, L&T Infotech, Cognizant visit the campus and recruit a large number of students. IT companies alone recruit 30-40 % students every year. Assam Engineering College is the oldest engineering college in Assam. It was established in the year 1958. It offers eight disciplines in the B.E course except for the M.C.A and M.E degrees. It is the best state government college in Assam. In spite of the fact that the college infrastructure is not very good since it was built long back but the faculty members and the college environment is very good. The placements of the college are above average as on an average more than 50% of the students...

Not so good infrastructure, but faculty members are aptly qualified and they deliver their best. Everything is nice in this college but canteen and laboratories needs to be upgraded. Campus placements are apt and justified. Hostels are great with working 100mbps internet.

The college is one of the oldest and esteemed engineering colleges of North-east India. The peers are the best in the state. I have learnt more about my life and friendship in the four years spent here. The location has been a problem for job seekers but with time it will be solved as well. Very strong alumni base working in companies like Intel, ONGC, Microsoft etc.
