    Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at Aurora's Scientific, Technological & Research Academy a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Is BE/BTech at Aurora's Scientific, Technological & Research Academy (ASTRA) a good choice?

    Based on reviews from students and alumni, here are the key takeaways:

    Academics and Faculty

    * Well-educated teachers with high-quality teaching skills
    * Good internal examination system with regular lab tests
    * Some faculty members lack technological knowledge, leading to limited hands-on experience
    * Few professors have PhD degrees, but require training to improve their teaching methods

    Infrastructure and Facilities

    * Average infrastructure, with some limitations, such as poor maintenance and outdated equipment
    * Limited access to sports and recreational activities
    * Canteen serves mostly junk food, and medical facilities are scarce
    * Wi-Fi connectivity is unreliable

    Placements and Career Opportunities

    * Placement rates vary across streams, with around 60% of students placed annually
    * Most companies visiting ASTRA are smaller firms or start-ups, offering lower salaries (average range: INR2-INR6 lakhs)
    * Fewer opportunities exist for core engineering disciplines like Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering
    * MNCs rarely visit the campus, except for occasional visits from IBM and similar organizations

    Other Considerations

    * Student life is generally peaceful, with a serene atmosphere and green surroundings
    * College life can be dull due to limited extracurricular activities and events
    * Scholarships are occasionally available for deserving students

    In conclusion, while ASTRA may have its strengths in terms of academic rigour and dedicated faculty, the institution falls short in providing adequate infrastructure, career opportunities, and overall student experience. Potential students should weigh these factors carefully before making a decision.

    Our college has good faculty members, but I am not satisfied with placements.
    Placements: Our college had not provided proper internships and placements for students. Only a few students got placed in MNCs.
    Infrastructure: Sports and games were not available in our college.
    Faculty: Teachers were very well-educated. Their teaching quality was high class. They provided all the necessary materials to learn and educate the practical knowledge. Internal exams were conducted well. The lab exams were conducted every week.
    Other: I opted for this course because I am interested in computers and development. Our college should provide other curriculum activities, sports, and cultural activities for mental support. I am satisfied with our college academic activities.

    It is one of the waste college with poor faculty.
    Placements: 10-20 % are placed during placements, most probably companies offered are for computer Science engineering and information technology. When comparing with other colleges about placements it is some what better. There are no companies for civil engineering and mechanical engineering.
    Infrastructure: When it comes under infrastructure it is average, proper guidance is not there for sports. Canteen is full of junk food. No medical facilities. They show partiality about picking players for cricket. No special games period is there. Hostel is far away from college.
    Faculty: Faculty are the worst. Every one will come and go for their sake. They didn't even complete their portion. They show partiality among students. They don't even have technical knowledge for explaining. Only few of them are best at teaching while others are the worst.

    I suggest you that don't pursue B. Tech because your 4 years of time will be wasted.
    Placements: There are no placements in our college. Only BPO or chat processing companies visit here for placements. If you have the knowledge, then you opt to write GATE exam and pursue M.Tech. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 2 LPA. ECIL and DRDO are the main government companies which offer internships. I suggest you that do something in which you have an interest.
    Infrastructure: Facilities here are better according to the money which we pay. The hostel was very good, but the fee was very high, i.e., it is Rs. 85,000 per year. However, the rented home costs Rs. 3,500 per month, which is very less to stay.
    Faculty: Faculty members here are good but don't have much engineering knowledge. They have only intermediate knowledge, and they don't teach anything extra as teach only bookish knowledge. Students are interested in being industry-ready, but faculty members are not ready to make them ready for industries or anything. They focus only on teaching.
    Other: I chose ECE course because I am interested in electrical, communication, telecommunication, drones, Wi-Fi router, mobiles, systems and hardware. I want to do better for society, and I suggest you that don't waste your time pursuing B.Tech. So in those four years, you learn python Java, C+, Data Science, SAP, etc., which are perfect for getting placed in MNCs with a salary package of 5 LPA without a degree. Events organised here are waste, and they are a waste of money. There will be no anything during events as they are organised only for enjoying.

    College is good but it is no for me I deserve a better one.
    Placements: A good number of students are passing from our college. I don't know about the salary but I know that decent amount are paid. companies like ibm are coming for the job interview. No one in the college have under gone any internships we would like to.
    Infrastructure: There is no ground, no canteen no Wi-Fi facilities in the college. Library is sub-par. All the old content and old books, not bad, usable and versatile library. Quality of rooms and labs are okay. labs nothing works properly we need to do with that every time.
    Faculty: Staff are all good and ready to explain every thing but the thing is they have good knowledge the way of teaching is sub-par from what I have seen in the other college there is not much interactive thing. No PowerPoint presentation and explaination type of things.
    Other: I choose this because I didn't get case college could be better.

    Review of Aurora's Scientific,Technological & Research Academy.
    Placements: I am from 2015 batch from ECE course. There are about 120 students in each stream. Among them, about 60-70% of the students got placed in companies like Infosys, TCS, Cyient, etc. The salary package offered ranges between 3-6 LPA. They will offer good packages, and many companies visit our college for placements.
    Infrastructure: The college has the best infrastructure compared to other colleges. It offers a good environment in labs. The college provides a volleyball court, football ground, etc. Many hostels are located near our college. Canteen and medical facilities are good among many colleges.
    Faculty: Teachers in our college were well educated and disciplined. They will answer every question and clarify the doubts of the students. They have awesome knowledge, and they will help students in professional and personal problems too. They are strict in attendance.

    Our college provides the best infrastructure but does not maintain well.
    Placements: Our college did not provide any placements until now. However, there were placements in our college from a small BPO company. Our college doesn't have good tie-ups with any development companies. Since there is an academics degradation of students, there are few placements.
    Infrastructure: There are two 3-storey building blocks. We have a good library equipped with various books. We have labs with good equipments. Our college has good drinikig water and toilets, and they maintain them nicely.
    Faculty: Faculty members in our college are almost PhD holders. They are a bit lacking in technology. They need to be trained a little more so as to give a good demonstration of topics in order to cover in curriculum. As there is a problem with salary pending issues, lot of them are leaving college.
