Is B.E./B.Tech at Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management (BBDNITM) Worth the Investment?

Based on feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

    Pros:

    * Good infrastructure, including a spacious campus, well-equipped labs, and a separate library
    * Decent teaching quality, with many professors having a strong academic background
    * Opportunities for internships and placements, although the packages may vary
    * Active placement cell, with companies like TCS, Wipro, Infy, and Byju's visiting for recruitment
    * Average salary package is around INR5-6 LPA, with the highest going up to INR16 LPA
    * Campus life is lively, with regular events and fests

    Cons:

    * Some students feel that the curriculum needs improvement and is not entirely industry-oriented
    * Infrastructure issues, such as old furniture and equipment, exist in some areas
    * Limited Wi-Fi coverage on campus
    * Hostel facilities could improve
    * Some students report difficulties in finding employment after graduation due to limited connections with companies
    * High competition among students for limited seats in popular companies

Overall, while BBDNITM offers some positive aspects, such as decent infrastructure and placement opportunities, it also faces challenges, particularly in terms of curriculum relevance and limited industry connections. Students who invest in this programme should consider these factors when weighing their options.

Note: Prices mentioned are in Indian Rupees (INR).

Dissatisfied by the placements and faculty but the infrastructure and facilities are good.
Placements: The students are placed, but the packages are very low as compared to others. The college will provide you companies, but to be hired, you have to be able for that. The highest package of this year is 10 LPA, and the lowest package is 1.5 LPA. The average package offered by college is 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS and GENPACT. The role offered in my course is data analytics.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good here. Wi-Fi is always available, the labs are big, and they have enough computers for use. The classrooms are big, and there is only one library for a college, which is big as compared to students. I'm a hosteler, so I will suggest you that please choose the college hostel because it's much better than outside PG. The mess food is good, and the facilities of the hostel are also good. For medical facilities, there is a dental department, or if you want to go outside of the hospital, then there is a Savitri hospital.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful here, but they are too old to understand the new technology. They will teach you that old technology and syllabus only. Their teaching quality is good. No, the course curriculum is not relevant; they will not make students industry-ready. The reality is far away from industrial knowledge.
Other: I chose this course because one of my relatives said that data science is valuable in the future; otherwise, I will choose the computer science core. The best thing about my course is that this is valuable for upcoming technologies, and it is in industry demand right now. The things I wish would be better: that college will provide more practical things and knowledge. The events and fests are organised very well here. You will absolutely enjoy it. The Utkarsh, which is a college fest, is organised amazingly. Other activities and events are organised by the college community as well. The campus is good compared to other Lucknow colleges. The scholarship is provided by Uttar Pradesh state; if you are from Uttar Pradesh, then you will be eligible for this; otherwise, if you are from another state, then there is no scholarship for you. The surroundings are very good here.

    All about the college BBDITM.
Placements: Almost 80% of students get placed every year at this college with good packages. The average salary package offered by this college is 7 LPA. IBM and Infosys take a lot of students and place them. The highest salary package offered is 54 LPA.
Infrastructure: This course has a good selection of students in this college. This course demands skills and learning. So, you have to work hard, there's no option. The campus has many hostels for boys and girls. The hostel food is okay. Wardens here are very good. The hostel environment is also good.
Faculty: Faculty members in this college are very understanding and supportive. Teachers are very good and teach very well. Exams here are conducted from time to time. Class tests and sessional exams are also conducted here in between the semester to boost the student's studies.
Other: The campus life is very good. Many fests and events are held throughout the whole year. Star Night takes place on 31st March every year. Utkarsh named fest is conducted for 3 consecutive days every year. Many more activities are held in an auditorium.

Good infrastructure, placements are below average, and average campus life.
Placements: Don't expect campus placement from here. It is like 2 to 3 lakh per annum and that is only for 50 percent students. Here you can see some good companies but do not expect high packages; if you want a good package, you have to go off campus.
Infrastructure: Here the infrastructure of the college is good; that is so attractive that many students get admission here due to the infrastructure of the college but this is not the only thing that is worth taking admission in any college and the hostels are also good here. There is no kind of ragging but mess is average.
Faculty: Faculties are of both kinds; some are good, some are bad; it depends on you if you are a good student and supportive; teachers will help you in any problems and exams are good because they are connected to AKTU, that is, a good college. Curriculum activities are also here, and you can participate in them.

Review of Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management.
Placements: About 60%-70% of student are placed based on their skills. BBDITM gives opportunity for internships and different clubs and societies on campus. Overall, good college in Lucknow the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Hostel is also good and campus life of college is good compared to other colleges in Lucknow. College organised different sports from AKTU and BBD has its own stadium named Akhilesh Das Gupta Stadium and auditorium also.
Faculty: Exam process is also good. As engineering students, we all know that the exams in B. Tech are common every month so the pressure for exams is common and it is habitual. Exams give us the confidence for preparing semester exams and handle pressure.

Nice college, but not eough for placements.
Placements: Around 70% of students get placed in MNCs and rest go for higher studies. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Infosys, etc. Around 65% of students get internships from top MNCs. In fourth year students are offered fresher roles in companies.
Infrastructure: Two tables, two chairs, two wardrobes, and two beds are provided in a double-seater room with free Wi-Fi in hostel. Hostels are quite decent but lack a little in hygiene. Some washrooms don't have taps. Mess food is quite good and canteen is available till 8:00 PM. One can visit and eat there.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive because most of them are PhD holders and have completed their post-graduation from highly reputed colleges. Curriculum is highly relevant to real-world problems, which we face in companies. Semester exams are a little tough, but if one is regular student, one can tackle them easily.
Other: I chose this course because I got it in UPTU counseling as my first choice and without distraction, I locked this choice and took admission here. Irrelevant subjects should be removed from the course. We have an annual fest named Utkarsh, where one can showcase their talent. Many events like Origins and technical fests are organised from time to time.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of facilities .
Placements: Many companies come here, like Microsoft, IBM, Deloitte, TCS, Wipro, and other mass recruiting companies. Last year, 87% of the batch was recruited. The highest package last year was 34 LPA, and the average went up to 10 LPA. The lowest package was 8 LPA. Tata Communications, Bajaj Electrical, BHEL, Crompton, Intel, Dell, Samsung, and BSNL also came here.
Infrastructure: The hostel accommodations are quite okay here. Lots of activities take place. Wi-Fi is not provided by the institute. The labs are not in good condition, but the teachers are really well-skilled here. To ruin your life, you are welcome here. Labs are just for namesake. Teachers here are not cooperative at all. The food in the mess is health-sickening.
Faculty: The minimum pass percentage is 33%. The syllabus is fully relevant and makes the students industry-ready. To ruin your life, you are welcome here. Labs are just for namesake. Teachers here are highly qualified but not cooperative at all. You can come here to explore life fantasies, but if you want to build up your career, then I would highly recommend you take a 1-year drop and prepare for IITs, NITs, etc.
Other: If you have time, better if you take a drop and prepare for a better college.
