Is B.E./B.Tech at Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management (BBDNITM) Worth the Investment?

Based on feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

    Pros:

    * Good infrastructure, including a spacious campus, well-equipped labs, and a separate library
    * Decent teaching quality, with many professors having a strong academic background
    * Opportunities for internships and placements, although the packages may vary
    * Active placement cell, with companies like TCS, Wipro, Infy, and Byju's visiting for recruitment
    * Average salary package is around INR5-6 LPA, with the highest going up to INR16 LPA
    * Campus life is lively, with regular events and fests

    Cons:

    * Some students feel that the curriculum needs improvement and is not entirely industry-oriented
    * Infrastructure issues, such as old furniture and equipment, exist in some areas
    * Limited Wi-Fi coverage on campus
    * Hostel facilities could improve
    * Some students report difficulties in finding employment after graduation due to limited connections with companies
    * High competition among students for limited seats in popular companies

Overall, while BBDNITM offers some positive aspects, such as decent infrastructure and placement opportunities, it also faces challenges, particularly in terms of curriculum relevance and limited industry connections. Students who invest in this programme should consider these factors when weighing their options.

Note: Prices mentioned are in Indian Rupees (INR).

Review of Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management.
Placements: About 60%-70% of student are placed based on their skills. BBDITM gives opportunity for internships and different clubs and societies on campus. Overall, good college in Lucknow the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Hostel is also good and campus life of college is good compared to other colleges in Lucknow. College organised different sports from AKTU and BBD has its own stadium named Akhilesh Das Gupta Stadium and auditorium also.
Faculty: Exam process is also good. As engineering students, we all know that the exams in B. Tech are common every month so the pressure for exams is common and it is habitual. Exams give us the confidence for preparing semester exams and handle pressure.

Nice college, but not eough for placements.
Placements: Around 70% of students get placed in MNCs and rest go for higher studies. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Infosys, etc. Around 65% of students get internships from top MNCs. In fourth year students are offered fresher roles in companies.
Infrastructure: Two tables, two chairs, two wardrobes, and two beds are provided in a double-seater room with free Wi-Fi in hostel. Hostels are quite decent but lack a little in hygiene. Some washrooms don't have taps. Mess food is quite good and canteen is available till 8:00 PM. One can visit and eat there.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive because most of them are PhD holders and have completed their post-graduation from highly reputed colleges. Curriculum is highly relevant to real-world problems, which we face in companies. Semester exams are a little tough, but if one is regular student, one can tackle them easily.
Other: I chose this course because I got it in UPTU counseling as my first choice and without distraction, I locked this choice and took admission here. Irrelevant subjects should be removed from the course. We have an annual fest named Utkarsh, where one can showcase their talent. Many events like Origins and technical fests are organised from time to time.

Good infrastructure, placements are below average, and average campus life.
Placements: Don't expect campus placement from here. It is like 2 to 3 lakh per annum and that is only for 50 percent students. Here you can see some good companies but do not expect high packages; if you want a good package, you have to go off campus.
Infrastructure: Here the infrastructure of the college is good; that is so attractive that many students get admission here due to the infrastructure of the college but this is not the only thing that is worth taking admission in any college and the hostels are also good here. There is no kind of ragging but mess is average.
Faculty: Faculties are of both kinds; some are good, some are bad; it depends on you if you are a good student and supportive; teachers will help you in any problems and exams are good because they are connected to AKTU, that is, a good college. Curriculum activities are also here, and you can participate in them.

This is all about good infrastructure and the environment for study.
Placements: Total 70 to 80 percent students placed through our college. And that the highest package is 8 LPA and the lowest is 2.4 LPA. Top recruitment companies of my course are ZF, TCS, Wipro, etc. Our college provides the internship which is from other companies recommended by the college, like WABCO, and others. And sometimes students do it with their own reference.
Infrastructure: Facilities of my college are good and the environment is friendly, a nice place to study. Hostel quality is also good. The quality of food is good when we compare to other hostels. Because here lunchtime is fixed and easily provided, so there is no disturbance related to your lunch and dinner. The hostel warden is also good in nature, and unknown persons are not allowed in your hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are good in behavior and for study purposes. Semester difficulty depends on you—how you treat your semester, your study time, and how seriously you take it. Various kinds of curricula are held related to your field and industry. There are also some extracurricular activities held related to sports, fashion designing, singing, athletics, and robotics competitions, etc.

The college infrastructure is good, and placements are good too.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 8 lakhs per annum, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 lakhs per annum. The top recruiting companies are Wipro, Infosys, and Bajaj Electrical Ltd. Almost 76% of students got placed, and 63% of students secured internships.
Infrastructure: The college provides a good hostel facility for students with homemade food, high-speed Wi-Fi, hot water, and evening snacks. Indoor games are also allowed. It has a big ground where students can play outdoor games. The classrooms are neat, the labs are well equipped, and the library is available. The Wi-Fi is enabled throughout the college.
Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The teachers are well trained and experienced. They have good knowledge and are friendly with students. They teach in a good manner. The semester exams are difficult, and the pass percentage is 60%.

This is the actual review of the BBDNITM college and its faculty and the campus.
Placements: The percentage of students placed is pretty good, and all the worthy students are placed in reputed companies. The highest package was around 15 LPA, and the top recruiting companies were Amazon, TCS, Infosys, and Accenture. However, the percentage of students that got internships is pretty low.
Infrastructure: The labs and infrastructure are decent, but the classrooms are from the beginning of the college and need some improvement. The hostel rooms are kind of okay, but the food is very bad. Sports are played throughout the year, and anyone can participate in the games that are held annually. Ambulance services are available for any emergency situations that might erupt on campus or in the hostel.
Faculty: The teaching quality at this college is decent, but the teachers vary in their qualifications. Some are well-qualified, but others are not. The teaching will make you exam-ready, but it won't prepare us for the industry. The semester exams are not very difficult to pass. In fact, studying for 7 days prior to the semester can make us pass.
Other: I chose this course because I loved computer science and computers in general. The teaching style could be improved, but there are events organized throughout the year, including an annual fest in February. State scholarships are provided to meritorious students, the campus surroundings are good, and connectivity is also good.
