Review of Bearys Institute.
Placements: Placement rate of our college is very low. Few companies visit to hire students and offer very low salary packages.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is very poor. There are no proper labs and classrooms are filled with pigeons. Our college has very small playground. Laboratories are in poor condition and few equipment does not work. Canteen facility is not good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are average. So students have to struggle during exams to pass. Faculty members are not supportive. Teachers don't take initiatives.
Other: Cultural fests are organised in our college.

It is the best college for students.
Placements: Almost 75-80% of students got placed in prestigious companies across the world every year. Top recruiting companies are Toyota, Infosys, and Bearys Group. The average salary package offered ranges from 6 LPA to 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good and the academic building is green. The library has many books. We also have an aerodynamic laboratory which makes BIT Mangalore very unique among all colleges in Karnataka. All basic necessities and facilities are provided in BIT. If you want any other facilities, you will get support from the management which is very great.
Faculty: Our faculty members are highly experienced and our chairman is always keen to provide good quality education. Few teachers are freshers but they do have good knowledge of the subjects. Experienced faculty members always motivate students to opt for higher studies. The relationship between teachers and students is great. Faculty members are always supportive.

The college is good for my course but the placement is poor.
Placements: Placement is the worst in here. If you are choosing this college for placement, then I request not to opt for this college here. The college place officer is worse than the college itself. Out of 500 students in the batch, only 2 to 5 get placement, and they advertise as if they get 100% placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the building is quite good. Recently they constructed a PU building, of which I have been part of an internship. The quality and the looks have all been of great choice. I don't have any bad words for their company. But the people working in here are not up to mark.
Faculty: As I was in civil engineering depth. I loved our environment. The lecturer was friendly and always completed their portion, unlike in other depths. The CS department got the worst lecturers there. They would not complete the syllabus on time. Exams are conducted according to VTU.
Other: I chose civil engineering as my course as its the king of oceans. We get to work in sits, construct buildings, get government contacts, and start our own business. If people come here to enjoy themselves by being in fest, then it's not your college.

I would not recommend this college.
Placements: Placements are not good. Most of the people go to other companies that do not come to our college. Companies that come for campus placements offer the lowest salary packages. No good companies visit our campus to offer placements.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are fine, but the canteen is not good. The food is expensive.
Faculty: Most teachers are not good. They don't know how to teach. There is no coordination between them.
Other: Extracurricular activities are not available. They conduct some events after lots of trying to get permission from the principal, who doesn't even even feel for students. This college promised mandatory scholarships, but no money has been credited.

BIT (***'s Institute of Technology).
Placements: In case of placements, civil students do not get many opportunities in placements. No of companies that visit the college is reduced now. But the civil students mostly get placement in the Bearys group owned by the chairman. The salary payment is very low, and they keep due to the faculty for 3 to 4 months. Some even get jobs in the placement but reject due to low pay. Don't ever think about joining here? So you get? But someday you will realize that.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi here is available only for the namesake. They don't give passwords. Labs also lack the facility. The classrooms here are below par compared to a primary school. Don't ask for sports as they don't even provide a ground for that. This college should not try to fool with their adds (free Wi-Fi, international hostel, international library, international labs).
Faculty: When I joined, there were more intelligent and experienced lectures, but now most of the lectures are freshers. They f* have been provided a football/cricket ground but no one knows about that. In this case, someone needs to address this at that conference to know it and to form a perception of it.
Other: They don't provide support to all the events, and also, the connectivity here is very poor.
