NIT Surathkal will releases 6-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech in CSE. The cutoffs are released on a rolling basis, and the seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs are based on the following factors:

NIT Surathkal cut-off list 2024 has been released, up to Round 6 Counselling for M.Tech courses offered through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Centralized Counselling for M. Tech. / M. Arch./ M. Plan (GATE CCMT).  As of now, there are no more rounds scheduled for release by the institute.

NIT Surathkal accepts JEE Main scores for admission to the BTech course specialisations and the BArch course. The cutoff is released category-wise for candidates belonging to the All India as well as the Home State quota. For candidates belonging to the General HS category, the cutoff ranks to get admission ranged between 3025 and 45579.

NIT Surathkal admission to the PGDM courses like MBA are conducted through CAT aggregate percentile. For getting into a NIT Surathkal, One need to score a minimum overall CAT percentile of 80, according to NIT Surathkal CAT cutoff 2023.

NIT Surathkal MBA fees is INR 4 lakh. The fee structure also includes other charges like admission fees, hostel fees, development & training fees, etc.

The selection process for the MBA programme at NITK Surathkal is based on GMAT/CAT score followed by group discussion and personal interview. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST) are eligible to apply for an MBA. Eligible students can apply by visiting the official website.

NITK Surathkal admits students through CCMT for all the M.Tech programmes. For all guidelines, the prospective candidates are advised to carefully read the information brochure and various other documents which will be available in CCMT website. Admission to a MTech. Programme is open to candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination, with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system, or not less than 60% marks in the aggregate

The eligibility criteria for MTech course at the NIT Surathkal is that candidate should have passed BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate from a recognised university. Aspirant should have the degree and mark sheets (original/copies) at the time of form filling and admission confirmation. The selection process include GATE + CCMT Counselling. 

NIT Surathkal offers placements to students in a variety of fields. In the 2024 placements cycle, the institute recorded 75% placement rate, with the highest package being INR 55 LPA. The top recruiters were Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, among others.

The aspirants with a BCA/BSc Hons/BSc with Mathematics and Statistics subjects with 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for reserved category) can take admission to the MCA course in NITK. Moreover, the candidates must also hold the relevant documents at the time of form filling and admission as proof of eligibility.

Candidates seeking admission to the MCA course must first check the eligibility criteria, which is BCA/BSc Hons/BSc degree. Eligible candidates can further apply by filling out the application online through the NITK website (nitk.ac.in). Admission to the course is further based on merit in NIMCET and academic records.

The cutoff trend for BTech at NIT Surathkal has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under the General category AIQ was 13365. In 2022, it increased to 13567. 

Similarly, cutoff off changed from 21629 to 25794 for OBC, 2472 to 65567 for SC, 79634 to 62185 for ST, 17978 to 18151 for EWS and 586 to 353872 for PWD. This is likely to continue in the coming years with growing demand for engineering education in India. NIT Surathkal BTech cutoff 2024 has been released for categories, including General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PWD. For the OBC category, the Round 1 cutoff ranged between 499 and 9918, wherein, CSE was the most competitive BTech specialisations. The easiest course to get into NIT Surathkal was Mining Engineering. As per NIT Surathkal cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering has increased compared to the previous year. The Last Round closing rank for General AI category students for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 2302, while for the General Home State category students, the Last Round closing rank was 3751. During the NIT Surathkal B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering cutoff 2022, the Last Round closing rank was 1754 for the General AI category, while in 2021, the Last Round closing rank was 1117. During the NIT Surathkal OBC 2023 cutoff, the Last Round closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 4070 for the AI category students. For the Home State Quota, B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering cutoff closed at 12354.

Admission to the courses at the institute is entrance-based. The institute accepts national-level exam scores (for example, JEE Mains/GATE/IIT JAM).
