The placements for the core branch are very less and the placement training is not working well enough, so the students are not getting jobs in their core company.

Feedback and review of my college.
Placements: More than 85% of the students got placed in our internship program. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, and many more. The top roles offered are in software development and engineering. The top recruiting companies are very good. The top roles offered are for software developers.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good, and the course is very helpful. The quality of facilities in the hostel is also good. The mess facilities are also good. Medical facilities are also good. Sports and games are available. Wi-Fi, labs, and campus-wide Wi-Fi are also available.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are difficult to pass. The pass percentage is more than 80%.
Other: I chose this course because I was passionate about it. The thing I wish could be better is the all-around development of the students. There are campus fests, good surroundings, and extracurricular activities all over the campus.

If your skills are good, you can easily get jobs in the IT sector.
Placements: The minimum percentage of our college placed is 50-60%. The highest package of our college is 12 LPA. The lowest package is 2.5 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies in our college are TCS, Wipro, Mahindra, Cognizant, and Flipkart.
Infrastructure: Bengal College of Engineering and Technology is very good. The labs are very good, and our faculty members are very experienced and helpful. BCET classrooms are good, and our college library is a very peaceful place. Our playground is the best.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is very helpful and very experienced. Their teaching quality is awesome. Our course curriculum is relevant, though it does not make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are very tough. The minimum pass percentage is a 6.5 CGPA.
Other: In the present time, computer science is the best course. In this course, the IT companies will give the chance of jobs. If your skill is good, you can easily get jobs in the IT sector. I wish the jobs are scheduled out of the country if possible.

Review : Faculty improvement is needed; infrastructure is decent but lacks sufficient amenities.
Placements: Around 60-70% of placements occur every year. The highest package till now was 22.4 LPA in 2022, while the lowest was 2 LPA, with an average around 1-2 LPA. Top recruiters include sales companies like Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, etc. Internships are not pursued by many students due to insufficient college guidance, hence providing no perfect answers to this. There are no top roles; only sales companies have come for placements so far. Most placements are secured by students off-campus.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not provided by the college, except for a limited 32 MB access. Labs are well-maintained and air-conditioned. Classrooms have an older appearance and are not in proper condition. The library is the best-maintained place, suitable for studying in summer but lacks air-conditioning. Hostel facilities are average. The girls' hostel offers single rooms, double rooms with attached bathrooms, and double rooms with common bathrooms. Boys' hostel only provides double rooms with common bathrooms. The previous hostel fee for boys was 30,000, now increased to 36,000. For girls, single rooms cost 50,000, double rooms with attached bathrooms are 45,000, and double rooms with common bathrooms are 36,000. Sports activities like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, and recently added kho-kho are conducted regularly. However, there is no badminton court on campus; it is available only in the boys' hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are good if students study; teaching quality is average and not very engaging. If made more interesting, attendance would likely improve. BCET is affiliated with MAKAUT, but its curriculum does not seem industry-relevant as it includes subjects like Biology and EVS which are of limited use. Semester exam difficulty is average; MAKAUT's exam patterns sometimes cover only 1-2 modules out of 5-6, necessitating thorough study of all modules.
Other: Events are occasionally organized, but participation is low as opportunities are limited to consistently performing students, with few chances for newcomers. This discourages many students from participating.

BCET as the finest college in Durgapur.
Placements: Placements are average, 5-6 LPA. Most of the mass hiring companies visit, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini. Many startups are also coming. The highest our college has recorded is 20 LPA. The TPO and other faculty members play a great role in helping the students in the placement sessions and for placement.
Infrastructure: I only have a complaint about the seminar hall. It needs a vast upgrade; the projectors are old, and the sound systems are old. But the other infrastructures are okay; they are all well and nicely organized. I haven't opted for the hostel, so I can't explain that.
Faculty: The faculty members are good but not permanent. They change very often, but the quality I have observed is excellent. The professors are very supportive; they offer many resources related to academics and others. They help in guiding each and every student based on their needs.
Other: The location of the college is very good; it is in the most sophisticated part of the city.

Good infrastructure but worst faculties. Placement and internship opportunities.
Placements: In my course, CSE, a pretty good percentage of students were placed, but most of them were placed off-campus. On-campus placement is pretty bad. In my first-year orientation, the college told us the highest package was 24 lacs per annum and the average package was around 5 lacs, but all of that was false, as we understand now. Only sales companies come. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and Amazon. In my college, the internship percentage is very bad. Our faculty members only provide an AICTE virtual internship, which is worthless.
Infrastructure: The only thing that my college has is its infrastructure. Our college has one of the biggest campuses in our city, Durgapur. The labs are very good. We have Windows 11 on almost every computer in our lab. Our college has a pretty big library, but nowadays, the Wi-Fi system is the worst. There is a pretty big playground at our college. Also, the hostels are very good, but the hostel food is a little bit oily. Nowadays, we have smart classrooms in our college. Because of a Durga temple, our hostel and campus do not allow non-veg food.
Faculty: The main and worst thing about our college is our faculty members. They do not have any proper degree or teaching quality. Teachers change every 1-2 months, and that affects our studies and the completion of the syllabus. Semester examinations are conducted by MAKAUT, formerly known as WBUT (West Bengal University of Technology). The passing percentage is very bad, though.
Other: I chose this course because my JEE rank was pretty bad, so I didn't get into any government college. And at that time, in 2022, the CSE fees for almost all private colleges were around 4 lacs, but other colleges wanted donations, which were not affordable for my family, and this college didn't take any donations. There are many events there, like ATHLEKA, our annual sports day, which is held in December, an annual fest in March, and Foundation Day in September. Also, there are Biswakarma Puja and Saraswati Puja. The college provides us with the SVMCM scholarship, through which we can get 60,000 per year.

BCET college review. Better college in Durgapur.
Placements: At most 70% placement happens every year. The highest package till now is 22.4 lpa, the lowest is 2 lpa, and average is 2–3 lpa. top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. Internships are not provided much by college; you have to do it on your own. The top role offered is of sales company.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. No Wi-Fi is provided at the college. The labs are well air-conditioned. Classrooms are a little old-fashioned. The library is the best in this college and is well maintained compared to any other thing in this college. The hostel facility is good but the food is not very good. Medical facilities are there, and sports and games are also available.
Faculty: Some teachers are good, some are not. The teaching quality is average. I don't like the Makaut course curriculum much because it has biology and EVS as subjects—not much to make the students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate; you have to give them under camera. Minimum passing marks are 40/100.
Other: There should be programming languages from the 1st semester only. Because there are so few events, there is not much participation. Fest is held once a year. Campus life is good.
