It is an excellent college.
Placements: Campus placements were similar to the previous year. Top recruiting companies like DXC, Wipro, TCS, Byju's, Vidhayarthi, etc., visited our campus. The top role offered was a software engineer. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 1 LPA.
Infrastructure: Labs, Wi-Fi, and classrooms were excellent. The infrastructure of the lab was very good. The lab technician was very helpful. The hostel facilities were good. They provided vegetarian food. Medical facilities were good. An ambulance was available. The canteen was good. Sports and games facilities were available.
Faculty: Our teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They were humorous and friendly. The course made students industry-ready. We had eight semesters in four years, and two internal exams are held per semester.
Other: I chose this course because of my wish to become an engineer since childhood. My skills, personality, and spoken English communication skills improved. Our college organised many events and festivals. Scholarships were available.

The college has good infrastructure and good placements in software companies.
Placements: Only software companies visit the college for placements. Packages offered ranged from 2.5 to 5 LPA. TCS, Tech Mahindra, Accenture and BPO companies visit the campus. There is no internship facility. Mechanical, civil, electrical, ECE, and applied instrumentation courses are available with 60 seats each, and CSE and IT branches have 120 seats. Overall, 10% of the students got placed.
Infrastructure: The college has excellent hostel and library facilities. Wi-Fi is available for students from 2nd year in the hostel. Food provided in the hostel is vegetarian and is not bad. Medical facilities and sports ground are available. An annual fest is well organised. The canteen is poor. Basketball, football and karate grounds are available. The auditorium is very good.
Faculty: HoDs are good, and the rest are not much good. Labs are excellent for all departments. The mechanical lab is excellent in Durgapur. Attendance is not an issue here, but the classes are held regularly. Discipline is followed. There are no placements from core companies. Civil, electrical and mechanical students suffer a lot.

Faculty members in our department are good.
Placements: About 10% of the students from our course got placed. The average salary package offered in our course is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Byju's, GE, GSG and AIS visit our campus for placements. Only 5% of the students from our course got an internship in companies like CMERI and Extramarks.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good enough. Our college provides a library. Our college provides classrooms according to different branches including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, civil engineering, computer science and information technology department.
Faculty: Teachers in our branch are quite intelligent and dignified. Most of the teachers are seniors with good knowledge. They have industrial work experience. The course curriculum is relevant, but I can't say that it makes the students ready for industries or not.
Other: I have chosen this course because of my interest in it. I have gone through a lot of skills and knowledge of the functioning of different mechanical engineering instruments and equipment properly.

Not so satisfied with the outcome which was expected.
Placements: The highest package offered was 6 LPA and the lowest was 2 LPA. Companies like GE, Neo Metalliks, Shyam Steel came for recruiting purpose. Indian Navy also came to our college for Permanent Commission Selection shortlisting, but only 4-5 were selected. Most of the companies came for marketing job profiles and large numbers of students were left with no option but to opt for those job profiles. Training and Placement Cell is not worthy of getting the students placed.
Infrastructure: Lab facilities were good as per course requirements but there was scarcity of lab equipments and also there were only few options for lab selection that too which the college has selected for you, not that you can opt for any of the lab or the course.
Faculty: Teachers were good but you had to constantly pester them for your good grades and also they were quite favorable towards some of the students in that matter large number of average students had to face difficulty in scoring good grades as a result their grade points went down. Also the curriculum is very poor as per present day requirements and doesn't train you for real time industry challenges.
Other: I choose this course out of my interest in machines and design. Better labs, classroom interaction and a learning environment should be made available so that every student gets the chance of learning and can implement it in their own life is the basic requirements of our college. Most importantly no fests organised, no extra curricular activities.

Review of Bengal College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Placements in our college are good for CSE, ECE and IT branches, but placements of non-core branches are normal. Core companies do not visit our college for placements. The only thing is placements here are low. I suggest that if a student is good and did not get admission in any reputed college, then he can try this the college because it has good faculty members. To get placements, students have to prepare for it. So it is an average option for the students.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure. The college location is very good. It has good transport facility. The college provides good infrastructure for all the branches. The college provides labs in all the branches. The college has a playground in which all various programmes are conducted. Labs are well-equipped. The campus is good and large. The college offers a good environment for students.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were are good. They are well trained and knowledgeable. They help students who are good in studies. The core branch teachers are aged, and they have industrial experience, so they provide both theoretical as well as practical knowledge. The college is good in terms of faculty.
Other: I have an interest in machines, so I have chosen this course. If the college invites many core companies, then it would benefit many students because it is very difficult to get a job in core sector after coming out of college.
