BCET is the best for engineering.
Placements: Around 60 percent of the students were placed. The highest package was around 8 lacs and the lowest was around 3 Lacs. The top companies are Microsoft IBM Infosys. In my branch, the highest package was 7 lacs and the lowest was around 4 lacs. 90 percent of students got internship in SAIL, NTPC etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi free campus. Labs were too good. Classroom quality was also best and the library was Fully air-conditioned and all types of books are available there. The food quality of my mess was very bad and medical facilities were also not good sports was too good.
Faculty: Yes teachers were very helpful even they taught us at their home without money because they were well qualified and knowledgeable also, there teaching quality was also very good. Yes this course curriculum relevant and it makes the students industry ready.

I would rate my college average as placements were average in 2016.
Placements: About 50% of students were placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 6.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA. The top recruiting companies like TCS, SAP Labs, Unisys, Wipro, TechMahindra, Infosys, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Think and Learn Pvt. Ltd, Axis Bank, Accenture visited the campus for our course.
Infrastructure: Our college was well-equipped with Wi-Fi. The library was very spacious and had a lot of books. Our college also had a lot of spacious classrooms. There were four hostels, two were for boys, and two for girls. There were two big grounds and two basketball courts.
Faculty: Our faculty consists of many teachers who were from diverse backgrounds and had various degrees. Most of the teachers were helpful and had held degrees from various prestigious colleges. Teaching quality of the teachers were average. The course curriculum was relevant to the industry.

Good college to get the job done.
Placements: Its good in the beginning of the placement sessions. Try to get placed when placement season begins, somewhere in the early September time. Later on the quality detoriates. You can rely on professors for clearing basics but you need to put on your efforts on to some subjects if you really wish to move and stand out. At the time of my placement season Tech Mahindra came in first, then there was Byju and Amazon, both offering BPO jobs. You can go into Amazon and then diverse your eay out. But byjus is a trap. In my batch more or less 60% got placed but decided to drop the opportunity and try something else. There is a good functioning placement cell however the TPO officer was a bit stubborn in those days.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure wise it is the biggest private college of Durgapur and you won't find it hard to believe It has proper hostel for girls and boys with different semester separately divided onto the 4 floors. It also has a good field where you can enjoy your evening or early morning walks if you want to. Library has all the books you need to cope up with the list of subjects available in all 8 semesters. Classrooms are well cleaned and has proper space to accommodate a huge class all at once. Quality of food is above average which can get better but availability of roadside food is more than necessary and is cheap.
Faculty: Faculty members has a wide range of professors from IIT NIT and other experienced field who can be a good guide in the path of building your future and get placed when time comes. It is important to build a rapport at the beginning to get some advantages in your internal marks because it is how it works in all private colleges. Exposure to new ideas and opportunities were also there if you are interested in publishing paper there are professors who can help and has pretty good command over such stuffs. I pursued AEIE and did not face any difficulties throughout the session and had pretty good support from all the professors.
Other: Fest and other co curricular activities keeps continuing throughout the academic year and has good reviews all over the place. Campus is well connected with all public transport and if you travel by bus you will be dropped just at the front of the main GATE which basically describes how well connected the campus is with the transport system.

Everything is good apart from the placement.
Placements: The placement records are decreased from year to year. From 2011 to 2015, the percentage of placed students got decreased from around 65% to 15%. The only MNC which hires is TCS. In 2015, TCS hired 38 students only for the post of an associate software engineer. Few small companies also come for placement, but those are of no use as some of them are fake, or some will give very low salary. The college does not provide internships. Only the students have to complete mandatory training from any company or recognised institute of their own without any stipend. The college has a training and placement cell, but they are not providing enough opportunities to the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. There is an administrative block which includes the offices of Director, Chairman and others. Also, there is examination cell, registrar office, reception and finance department. There are separate blocks for all the branches which include labs, classroom and faculty offices. The central library is very helpful for everyone. There is a huge volume of books for every branch study with newspaper and magazines also. The ground is at the centre and is maintained well. Games like cricket, football, volleyball are played regularly. Besides there is a basketball court also. The Sanjay Gautam Auditorium is quite big enough to gather all the students for any event. Boys hostel is inside the campus. Also, there is a separate gym for both boys and girls. Students will not feel infrastructure issue.
Faculty: Faculty members quality is average. Some of them are highly qualified and knowledgeable, but few were not that much good. But they are helpful. The course obviously is very vast for any branch engineering, but the faculty members did complete it somehow. The lab teaching was more good than theoretical. They used to restrict the students for not everything, but other than what they have said. The student to the faculty ratio is around 10:1.
Other: Annual fest, freshers party, robotics, events and few more events. The connectivity is good from college as it is just at the centre of posh Bidhannagar area. Just at a distance of a mile from the NH. Nearby many society, restaurants, hotels, markets, everything is available. Scholarships are also provided in this college.

Dissatisfied with college due to its management, faculty and poor placements
Placements: Average placements for the 2017 pass out batch with maximum students placed in BPO or business development services or in call center. Nearly 30-40% students were placed in 2017. The highest package was 5-6 lakhs (CTC) while the lowest was below 1 lakh. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Think and Learn, Thyrocare and IT sector small regional companies visited this year. These companies almost provided roles of BPO or call center and some IT sector companies provided good roles. About 10% of total students were offered internships by various companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is excellent. Every department has its own block. Labs in the college are poor i.e. instruments are old and most of them don't work properly. Classrooms are well-furnished. The college does not provide any Wi-Fi facility through the campus. Although it provides a LAN facility to the hostellers, the speed is quite slow. Hostel buildings are good. Cleanliness of room bathroom is quite good compared to government colleges. In my entire 4 years of the course, I was pleased with the infrastructure of my college.
Faculty: Faculty members of this college are below average. Some departments have good, knowledgeable faculty members while some lag behind in teaching students. Most of them are new in the teaching profession and they don't have any experience. The student-faculty ratio is low at approximately 50:1. Many subjects don't have any faculty members. We got industrial training from DVC-MTPS. The electronics and instrumentation branch is quite different from other branches. It has a mixture of other branches, so you can choose between core and the IT sector as well.
