According to an unofficial source, BMS College of Engineering is conducting its placement drive for the batch passing out in 2023. As per the latest report, a total of 1300 students participated and got more than 1000 offers from top-reputed companies during BMS College of Engineering placement 2023. A total of 111 M.Tech and MBA students were placed during the BMS College of Engineering placements. Earlier, a total of 161 and 94 students were placed during BMS College of Engineering M.Tech and MBA placements in 2021 and 2020, respectively. The top recruiters for BMS College of Engineering in 2022 included leading companies such as Amazon, KPMG, and EY GDS.

For admission to the MBA course at BMS College of Engineering, candidates are required to qualify for the basic eligibility criteria that stated candidates must complete their bachelor's degree with at least an aggregate of 50% in relevant subjects including language subjects. SC/ ST or Category-I candidates from Karnataka state must obtain a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination. Additionally, the selection process for MBA courses is based on the valid scores in  MAT/ CMAT/ KMAT/ Karnataka PGCET.

Students can study a two-year MBA course at BMS College of Engineering through its Department of Management Studies and Research Centre. The college accepts admission to MBA through various entrance exams. However, BMS College of Engineering MBA admission is not offered in a particular specialisation. It is offered as a General programme. There are four entrance exams that are widely accepted for this course, these are MAT/ CMAT/ KMAT/ Karnataka PGCET. Interested students need to qualify for either of the mentioned exams with a valid score for the IIT Bombay MBA course admission.

BMS College of Engineering admissions 2024 are entrance based. At the undergraduate level, the college offers three to four-year BE courses. The four-year BE is provided in 18 specialisations such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and others. At the postgraduate level, BMS College of Engineering offers two-year full-time MTech courses to students in 11 specialisations, two-year MBA, and MCA courses to students.

Candidates must follow certain procedure to take admission in any of the undergraduate or postgraduate programme offered at BMS College of Engineering. STEP 1: Candidates must fill out the detailed BMS College of Engineering application form which is available on the BMSCE website. 

STEP 2: Then, candidates must appear for the entrance examination according to the programme for which they wish to apply for. BMS College of Engineering accepts the scores of KCET, COMEDK, Karnataka PGCET, KMAT, CMAT and various other entrance exams for admission in specific programmes.

STEP 3: After candidates receive the entrance scores, they must appear for the counselling process, confirm the seat and must pay BMS College admission fees.

BMS College of Engineering eligibility criteria varies according to different programmes offered by the institute at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

• Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and have obtained at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC, ST and Category-I candidates) in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Electronics or Computer Science as optional subjects can apply for admission to the BE programme offered at BMS College of Engineering.

Candidates who want to take admission in the BE programme through management quota must have passed Class 12 examination with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ CS/ Electronics with a minimum 60% aggregate. Candidates who have passed Diploma or equivalent examination with a minimum 45% aggregate (40% marks in case of SC, ST and backward classes candidates from Karnataka) are eligible to apply for BMS College BE admission through lateral entry.

• Candidate who have a BE/ BTech degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum 50% aggregate (45% marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates from Karnataka) are eligible to apply for admission to the M.Tech programme. BMS College eligibility criteria for MBA programme is a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 50% aggregate (45% marks for SC, ST and Category-I candidates from Karnataka) taken together in all the subjects including language subject.
• Candidate who have passed the Bachelor’s degree examination with Mathematics/ Statistics/ CS/ Computer Application/ Computer Programming/ Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects with a minimum 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC, ST and Category-I candidates from Karnataka) can apply for BMS College of Engineering MCA admission.

BMS College of Engineering accepts COMEDK scores for admission to the BE/BTech courses. As per the Round 2 of the COMEDK cutoff 2024, the ranks ranged between 2365 and 28307 wherein Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive specialisation. So yes, candidates with a cutoff rank up to 4888 can get admission at BMS College of Engineering.
