BMS College of Engineering admissions 2024 are entrance based. Candidates who wish to take admission to any of the undergraduate or postgraduate programmes offered at BMS College of Engineering must appear for the entrance examination. The College does not offer direct admission to candidates in any of the programmes. At the undergraduate level, the college offers three to four-year BE courses. The four-year BE is provided in 18 specialisations such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and others. At the postgraduate level, BMS College of Engineering offers two-year full-time MTech courses to students in 11 specialisations, two-year MBA, and MCA courses to students.

Candidates must follow certain procedure to take admission in any of the undergraduate or postgraduate programme offered at BMS College of Engineering. BMS College of Engineering eligibility criteria varies according to different programmes offered by the institute at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

• Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and have obtained at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC, ST and Category-I candidates) in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Electronics or Computer Science as optional subjects can apply for admission to the BE programme offered at BMS College of Engineering.

Candidates who want to take admission in the BE programme through management quota must have passed Class 12 examination with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ CS/ Electronics with a minimum 60% aggregate. Candidates who have passed Diploma or equivalent examination with a minimum 45% aggregate (40% marks in case of SC, ST and backward classes candidates from Karnataka) are eligible to apply for BMS College BE admission through lateral entry.

• Candidate who have a BE/ BTech degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum 50% aggregate (45% marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates from Karnataka) are eligible to apply for admission to the M.Tech programme. BMS College eligibility criteria for MBA programme is a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 50% aggregate (45% marks for SC, ST and Category-I candidates from Karnataka) taken together in all the subjects including language subject.
• Candidate who have passed the Bachelor’s degree examination with Mathematics/ Statistics/ CS/ Computer Application/ Computer Programming/ Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects with a minimum 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC, ST and Category-I candidates from Karnataka) can apply for BMS College of Engineering MCA admission.

BMS College of Engineering accepts COMEDK scores for admission to the BE/BTech courses. As per the Round 2 of the COMEDK cutoff 2024, the ranks ranged between 2365 and 28307 wherein Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive specialisation. Step 1: Visit the official website of COMEDK at comedk.org. 

Step 2: Login to Applicant Login ID using the application number and password.
