Q:   Who can apply for MTech course offered by BMS Institute of Technology and Management?

A: 

A pass in BE/ BTech with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) is required to apply for MTech course. Candidates who have studied and passed one of the subjects specified in the first proviso in the pre-university course with 50% marks in that subject, shall also be eligible. Similarly, for the OBC AI quota students, the cutoff for MBA and MCA stood at 1244 and 636. So, candidates seeking admission to BMSIT at a cutoff rank of 1k won't get admission, however, for the MCA course, OBC AI category candidates can take admission to BMSIT with 1k rank.

A: 

To get admission into the affiliated colleges of BMSIT via KCET, a candidate must have attained the required cutoff rank as per the cutoff list. As per BMSIT cutoff 2024, the closing rank for CSE course stood at, 11681 for the General, OBC, EWS, and PWD All India category candidates. And, it is quite obvious that with 15k rank candidates can't get admission at BMSIT. Overall, the college is good.
Placements: Placements are still going. As per my knowledge, 2024 is the best till date for the year ongoing batch. Maybe the best is yet to come as it is still going on. Infosys, Amazon, and many other companies visited our college this year. As per my knowledge, almost all 4th-year present 7th-semester students got some internship.
Infrastructure: Lab facilities are good. The infrastructure of the college is good. Canteen food in college is good and affordable. A Wi-Fi facility is present everywhere in the college and hostel. Gym is present in both boys and girls hostel. Girls' hostel is 4-5 kilometers far away from college. The hostel accommodation for girls is only 120 and boys are 3 times more than girls. PG facilities are also available.
Faculty: The teaching staff members are good and friendly. They are qualified. To make the outer world more relevant, they have given us electives subjects for the first year like cyber security, robotics, cloud completing, IoT, etc. I have heard exams are moderately difficult.

The best students are born at BMSIT.
Placements: I'm studying in the 3rd year, 5th semester computer science. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 24 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, SAP Labs, Google, etc. Roles offered are software developer and web developer. Internships are up to students. In the 4th year, they will do internships. Students should have skills to get internships. All students will actually do internships in their 6th semester.
Infrastructure: Our college offers residential facilities. There are hostels and PGs for girls and boys. There is an accommodation for two or three students in a room. It is very nice. There is a special event named Kalarava. It is held for hostel people. Classrooms are well-maintained and clean. They have very good projectors. Wi-Fi routers are there in every single classroom. The library is very well-maintained. We have a lot of resources and books.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and professional. They have a great knowledge to help students. Teachers have done Ph.D. They do literature survey articles and survey papers. They have received several awards and conferences. They gain a lot of knowledge along with students enhancing them to learn new year technology. Students gain better industry-level experience.
Other: Events and fests are more mind-blowing than anything else. I personally love it as an anchor.

Balanced Prospects: BMSIT offers good Placement Amidst cultural Enrichment .
Placements: 1. Around 70-80% are placed in my branch. 2. Samsung, Tata, ANZ are top recruiting companies. 3. SDE developed. 4. Lowest package is 3.5-4 LPA, Average is 7-8 LPA, and the highest is 14-20 LPA. 5. Internship comes with placement. Due to recession in the world, placement is affected for 1-2 years, but the college tries its best to place.
Infrastructure: 1. Wi-Fi is average; I can't say bad network, but it's also not good. 2. Infrastructure is good at this college. But it is too small to play games like cricket or football. 3. BMSIT has three hostels with international hostel facilities. 4. Food taste is moderate, but quality is good.
Faculty: 1. Teachers are not too helpful, but they are well-qualified and knowledgeable. But they don't have too much technical knowledge. 2. Yes, good for your future career. 3. Internal exams are easy, but due to VTU external exams are tough. But now the college is autonomous. You have to score 40/100 to pass exams in VTU.

A fast-growing college in Bangalore.
Placements: The placements for Computer Science, and AIML are excellent, while Electronics students also can sit for these placements, but again, they should skill themselves. Many top companies come for internships and placements, such as Amazon, IBM, and Microsoft for software jobs. Companies like Texas Instruments, Hexaware Technologies, and more come for core electronics jobs.
Infrastructure: All the classes are well-planned with projectors to help us visualize topics. We have fast Wi-Fi connectivity in every corner of the college. All the auditoriums are spacious. The labs are well-maintained for Physics, C programming, Chemistry, and English with the latest technology to help us learn better.
Faculty: All the teachers are well-qualified, having their M.Tech and Ph.D. at VTU. Most of them teach well, but there are a few who know their topics but can't teach them well. But all the teachers are helpful if we approach them; they never say no, always helping us with doubts or lab records.

Insights on BMSIT. A beautiful college.
Placements: Last year, 97% of the students were placed from the artificial intelligence and machine learning branch. The average package was 800,000. The top companies were AWS, SAP, etc. It's mostly the backend and coding-related roles that were offered to the students.
Infrastructure: The campus is kept very clean and has a lot of greenery which makes the campus very beautiful. The campus has good facilities such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, libraries, etc. The hostel has a mess which has good food for the hostelites. Overall it is very amazing.
Faculty: Almost every professor has a Ph.D. degree and they are all highly knowledgeable. The faculty members guide the students through exams and give more hands-on sessions to help the students get a better understanding of different topics and concepts. The exams are moderately difficult.
Other: There are two different fests in our college. One is Utsaha which is a cultural fest and the other one is a technical fest. We also have sports tournaments where different colleges can participate.

Colleges through COMEDK according to 2024.
Placements: Campus placements are good in every branch and are overall decent when we talk about the whole college. Internship opportunities are also very good. Companies like Microsoft and AWS also come to our college and give handsome packages to students according to their skills.
Infrastructure: The hostels are nice and equipped with all types of necessary facilities. We have a library and gym also on campus and 24/7 high-speed Wi-Fi both on the college campus and in the hostel. All the necessary labs are in the college, and the facilities in the labs are also very good.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and are graduates from highly reputed colleges of India like IITs and IISc. The college is affiliated with VTU but is an autonomous institution. The curriculum feels outdated according to our generation and the needs of our time, but they prepare us well.
Other: The course is in high demand, and its scope is increasing. The campus is a little small but lush green, and all types of courts and fields are in the college.
