Extremely good faculty but Average placement.

Placements: As a mechanical engineering student, our class size is typically around 30 students. On average, students receive a package of 3 LPA, with the highest package reaching up to 5 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies include Flipkart, Amazon, etc. Generally, students are required to find internships on their own.

Review of CIT - Calcutta Institute Of Technology.

Placements: Our college has a fake campusing. Basically, any companies are not interested in our college. Our worst principal and our HOD don't know how to behave with a student. Many sirs are helpful, but this college is not good for students.

The college provides good facilities and infrastructure.

Placements: Placements in our college are average. In 2017, students from diploma in mechanical didn't get good placements. However, now, the college infrastructure, techniques, everything is changed. We hope in upcoming years we get good campus placements. Our teachers are really nice and highly knowledgeable.

Placements for chemical engineers are good.

Placements: The placement record of our college was average at that time. IT and non-IT students got placed on campus. Indian Navy, Tech Mahindra, Unimark Remedies, AB Polybag, and other IT and non-IT companies visited the campus. I was offered the job of a chemical engineer in placements.

CIT- A nightmare to pursue chemical engineering.

Placements: Simply bad placements, atleast for mechanical chemical and civil. There are some cross domain placement but for core chemical it simply is waste of money. Unless one has exceptionally good engineering knowledge 8.00+ CGPA and good communication skills to crack line (BOC), IOCL or Himadri Chemicals pool campusing or can crack GATE or PSU, they are doomed.

A good college for students who scored ranks above 10,000 in WBJEE.

Placements: Placements for ECE and electrical departments are good. The college provides placement opportunities in mass recruiting companies. However, there are a lot of placements in other domains like technical and finance sectors. Companies like Amazon, Collabera, XL Dynamics, etc., visit the campus for placements.

Overall four years experience was okay!

Placements: Average. Particularly do not remember how many companies came. Max were walk in interviews and pools. Mass recruited by Unimark (6.5k app/month) and pool was done by Line who gave max salary (25k app/month). Max companies were non-core. Like I got into Infosys.

Review of CIT - Calcutta Institute Of Technology.

Placements: Our seniors got several jobs in good companies. Around 80% of the students have cleared the campus interview. Students are offered a salary of Rs. 20,000 to 25,000 per month. Some good companies visited our college. Students are offered the role of trainee engineer.
