About my college in my own words.
Placements: I am doing civil engineering from this college. There are 40 students in our batch. The atmosphere of the college is very good. Most of the students get placed from the college itself. Last year, the highest package was 13 lakhs, and the lowest package was 3 lakhs.
Infrastructure: There is a good facility for everything inside the college, like Wi-Fi, lab facilities for practical study, good classrooms, and a good library. The hostel is very big and has all the facilities, like Wi-Fi, a library, and good drinking and bathing water. However, the food in the mess is not that good.
Faculty: All the faculty members are very intelligent and well-educated. They are serious about the students, and all the teachers take their lectures on time. The exams are conducted in a very organized manner, and the exam level is not that difficult.
Other: I am pursuing civil engineering because I want to become a builder. All the festivals in the college are celebrated well, and this is a crowd-free campus.

I am dissatisfied with placements and faculty.
Placements: There are no placements for civil branch students. Few students from other branches got placed. Only one or two students got placed in companies like A. K Automatics Roachtak, MCM Telecom equipment from mechanical Branch, Nagarro Software Private LTD from computer science. There is a placement cell, but it works only for one or two branches. Students of food technology shifted to the university campus. There are no internships from college. Placements were not satisfactory.
Infrastructure: There is a Wi-Fi, but with very low speed. Labs are available, but the equipment is not working. The quality of the labs is not good. The quality of the classrooms is average. The Library is good with air-conditioner, and enough books are available. The medical facility is available 7-8 km away from college. There are tournaments in various games like cricket, football, kabbadi, badminton, etc., which are conducted annually. Sports equipment are also good. The hostel facility for boys and girls are good, but the quality of the food served in the mess is very bad. Hostel canteen is not run properly, and the quality of the food served in the canteen is average. The college canteen is closed. The college is situated 22 km away from the city. So there are only three shops. Students face difficulty in buying routine items.
Faculty: The quality of teaching is average and also the worst quality in the civil branch. There is a lack of teaching staff. There are also some permanent teachers, rest are visiting faculty. The visiting faculty members are not knowledgeable. They use only whiteboard and lecture stand for teaching in classrooms. There are only two smart classes, which are used only in seminars. The pedagogy is the worst. Students have to do 80% self-study.
Other: The college fest is organised annually. The college also conducted different programs from time to time. There is no crowd of students. The campus is very isolated.

The college was good earlier, but not now.
Placements: There are no placements for the civil branch. Other branches like CSE, ME, EE and electronics have less than 10% placements. In my opinion, the placements for other branches are negligible, and only mechanical and CSE branches have good placements comparatively as these branches have permanent faculty members.
Infrastructure: The campus has very good buildings and classrooms. The library and labs are average. Hostel facilities are available. A canteen is also available. Books are available in the library. The fee structure of our college is low and is affordable by the poor students who prefer to get only a degree.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good. The course curriculum is good. Permanent faculty members are average, and it depends on the director sir and head of the department to appoint the faculty. Guest faculty members for all branches are good.
Other: Overall, it is a good campus. The scholarship facility is very good.

Other: CDLMGEC is a state government college named after former CM Chaudhary Devi Lal in Haryana in Sirsa district. It is located at the border of Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana. The weather of the place is very hot in the time of summer and the temperature may reach up to 47 degrees. Most of the students come from various districts of Haryana. Campus facilities and infrastructure is all right. There is no campus placement for the students. Faculty members are generally post graduates. There are 4-5 doctorate faculty members also. The institute is a government institute, so it attracts finest minds of state.

Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure with well-maintained hostels, libraries, laboratories, and recreational spaces. Students appreciate the cleanliness and greenery around the campus.

Facilities: The college offers Wi-Fi, lab facilities, and a library with a wide range of books. The canteen serves good food at reasonable prices.

Scholarship Opportunities: Scholarships are available, making the course more accessible to deserving students.

Student Life: The college hosts various events and festivals, creating a lively atmosphere. The nearby town offers limited amenities, but students appreciate the peaceful surroundings.

While CDLU faces some drawbacks, such as inconsistent Wi-Fi and limited job opportunities in certain branches, overall, it seems that the college provides a good balance of academic rigor, extracurricular activities, and personal growth.

Here are some areas where improvements could be made:

* Consistency in Wi-Fi and laboratory facilities
* Enhanced placement opportunities across all branches
* Increased interaction between faculty and students
* Better availability of internship opportunities

Ultimately, whether or not B.E./B.Tech at CDLU is worth the investment depends on individual preferences and priorities. Prospective students should weigh the benefits against the potential limitations before making an informed decision.
