Is B.E./B.Tech at CDLU Worth the Investment?

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's what we've gathered:

Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure with well-maintained hostels, libraries, laboratories, and recreational spaces. Students appreciate the cleanliness and greenery around the campus.

Facilities: The college offers Wi-Fi, lab facilities, and a library with a wide range of books. The canteen serves good food at reasonable prices.

Teaching Quality: Teachers are generally helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. Some departments, like Mechanical Engineering, receive praise for having dedicated and experienced professors.

Curriculum: The course curriculum is relevant, and students find it useful in preparing them for real-world scenarios.

Placement Record: While some students report dissatisfaction with the placement record, others claim to have received good job offers. The highest salary package reported is around INR4.5 LPA.

Scholarship Opportunities: Scholarships are available, making the course more accessible to deserving students.

Student Life: The college hosts various events and festivals, creating a lively atmosphere. The nearby town offers limited amenities, but students appreciate the peaceful surroundings.

While CDLU faces some drawbacks, such as inconsistent Wi-Fi and limited job opportunities in certain branches, overall, it seems that the college provides a good balance of academic rigor, extracurricular activities, and personal growth.

Here are some areas where improvements could be made:

    * Consistency in Wi-Fi and laboratory facilities
    * Enhanced placement opportunities across all branches
    * Increased interaction between faculty and students
    * Better availability of internship opportunities

Ultimately, whether or not B.E./B.Tech at CDLU is worth the investment depends on individual preferences and priorities. Prospective students should weigh the benefits against the potential limitations before making an informed decision.

Q:   How effective is the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech courses at CDLU?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BE/B.Tech Courses at CDLU

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's an assessment of the effectiveness of the placement cell for BE/B.Tech courses at CDLU:

    * Limited scope: According to students, the placement cell works mainly for certain branches, leaving out others, including Civil Engineering.
    * Few placements: Many students reported that only a few students from their batch got placed, mostly in small companies.
    * Low salary packages: The average salary package offered was around INR3.20 LPA, which may not be competitive compared to other colleges.
    * No internships: Unfortunately, students didn't receive any internship opportunities from the college.
    * Placement cell limitations: Some students mentioned that the placement cell wasn't very active or effective, leading to limited placement opportunities.

However, it's worth noting that nearly 60-70% of students reportedly got placed every year, with the number increasing gradually.

In summary, while the placement cell at CDLU shows promise, its effectiveness is limited due to factors such as limited scope, few placements, and relatively low salary packages.

    Not satisfied with this college.
Placements: Average placements for CSE students. No companies will come, and there are no internships in this college. The highest placement is 4 LPA, which is not a good placement package. And the college didn't place any students on campus; the students have to make their own efforts for the job.
Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms, and the library are abnormal. There is an average mess faculty. No Wi-Fi or hostel facilities are available, and they are worse than expected. I suggest not taking admission to this college. There is no dispensary or medical facility near the college. You have to go 25 km if you have any kind of problems.
Faculty: Average teachers with less experience. There is no specific teacher for the specific subject. The worst classrooms, no auditorium, the worst infrastructure in computer labs, no computers are working. You have to purchase your own laptop for your work. Semester papers are hard.

About my college in my own words.
Placements: I am doing civil engineering from this college. There are 40 students in our batch. The atmosphere of the college is very good. Most of the students get placed from the college itself. Last year, the highest package was 13 lakhs, and the lowest package was 3 lakhs.
Infrastructure: There is a good facility for everything inside the college, like Wi-Fi, lab facilities for practical study, good classrooms, and a good library. The hostel is very big and has all the facilities, like Wi-Fi, a library, and good drinking and bathing water. However, the food in the mess is not that good.
Faculty: All the faculty members are very intelligent and well-educated. They are serious about the students, and all the teachers take their lectures on time. The exams are conducted in a very organized manner, and the exam level is not that difficult.
Other: I am pursuing civil engineering because I want to become a builder. All the festivals in the college are celebrated well, and this is a crowd-free campus.

If you don't have money and want a degree then join in.
Placements: Data Science course is just this year so we can not tell you about placement and internship at this moment but the CSE is not very good the placement in electrical is good but the package is below 3 lacs per annum. You can further prepare for GATE and IIT Jam.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not up to your standards and is not like the dream college. The Wi-Fi is not working in hostel rooms; it is also not well maintained but it does its work and the location is not very good. It is located in a rural area and the mode of transport is only buses .
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and well-behaved. For me, I think the curriculum is not relevant. The exam are moderate and you can easily pass them. There is no such competition. The frequency of exam conduct is good; you got enough time in between the exams.
Other: The main reason behind choosing data science is that it is an emerging branch with potential for the future.

Contemplation of the potential for development.
Placements: Because there are fewer work opportunities and some organizations offer competitively lower compensation packages, many students choose to be placed off-campus. This encourages more students to look for better opportunities. Many companies, like Byjus, etc. Visit the campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent, offering basic amenities like Wi-Fi, well-appointed labs, and a library. Comprehensive sports facilities are offered, and the mess and canteen services are above average. The hostel has well-appointed rooms with an expensive layout.
Faculty: The teaching members have remarkable credentials and a helpful manner, providing efficient education that is in line with the curriculum and the needs of the students. Because the tests are made to be easily accessible, pupils have a greater success rate.
Other: The population of our campus is typical. Our college has a large campus. We pay less for college. There are numerous kinds of scholarships available to students. It's a good, reasonably priced college.

Striking a balance : Reflection on the prospects of improvements.
Placements: Many students opt for offcampus placements due to limited job opportunities and competitive lower salary packages offered by certain companies, promoting a higher volume of applications in pursuit of better prospects. Many companies visit campus such as Byjus etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is commendable providing essential facilities such as Wi-Fi, Well-equipped labs, classrooms and library. The canteen and mess services are above average, and comprehensive sports facilities are available. Hostel boasts an expansion layout, featuring well appointed rooms.
Faculty: The faculty demonstrates commendable qualifications and a supportive demeanor, delivering effective instruction aligned with both students needs and curriculum. The exams are designed to be accessible, resulting higher success rate among students.
Other: Campus boasts excellent connectivity, located along the main highway. However the surrounding is characterized by a village with limited amenities.

The college infrastructure is good and the environment to study is almost good.
Placements: If I tell you truly that this is a good college as it's infrastructure is good and the mess is also good, but about placement, I think it's not the best college, but most of the students, including me, take admission in this college as its fees are like 40,000 per year. Almost all the students are from Bihar and Patna. If you choose EE, then your HOD is great and you may get placed in good company, and CSE is also good, but other branches are not that good.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is good, and facilities are clean, but not always. Sometimes corridors are found dirty and Wi-Fi is a joke here. There is no Wi-Fi; there is fake Wi-Fi in the library. The canteen is good, which is okay but the people you meet here are the worst.
Faculty: Teachers are good and experienced, but you have to study on your own. You will get backlogs here almost every time you give exam and you have to study a lot here. The biggest problem is network. There is no network or Wi-Fi here.
Other: Give Wi-Fi in the hostel and college campus; there is also only one Wi-Fi in the hostel. We are not fools here. The gym is just scrap; there is no equipment, just a waste of time .
