B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028
3.8
3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
It is more affordable to pursue a B.Tech compared to other private colleges.
Placements: The highest current package offered is 44 LPA by Amazon. Top recruiting companies include Amazon, Infosys, and TCS. College puts a lot of emphasis on internships of the students. It is quite easy to secure internships in private or government firms. The college has a department that acts as a business incubator.
Infrastructure: College has strict rules. For instance, hostellers have to get the warden's signature to go out of the college campus. Girls' hostellers are not allowed outside the hostel after 7:30 pm. College library is well-stocked with sufficient study materials. The mess food is average.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good, and the professors are very helpful. Campus director is vocal about maintaining high teaching standards at the college. Our B.Tech department is affiliated with PTU University, so the curriculum is the same as theirs. Semester exams are moderate.
Other: I chose this college because of its affordability and its proximity to Chandigarh. College hosts an annual fest, popularly known as "Parivatan."

Review of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran.
Placements: Till November, around 18% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA. The average salary package offered is 7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Cognizant, Accenture, L&T, PWC, etc. About 8% of students got internships from our course at Philips and LG. Top roles offered in our course are software engineer and associate trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is good. There is no Wi-Fi on campus. It is available in the lab. The lab is connected through an ethernet port. The lab and library are very good. The library consists of different types of books including government exam books. The quality of the food in the hostel is bad. The Wi-Fi speed is also bad. Medical facilities are average. There is a television room and an indoor games room. Our college has study rooms.
Faculty: Our teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. They are Ph.D. holders. They have completed their master's degrees. The course curriculum is relevant, but in some instances, some of the syllabus makes no sense. Overall, it's good. The difficulty of exams is average. Students can crack it easily by studying previous exams' papers and important topics.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in computer science engineering. The best thing about this course is that it makes students ready to face every type of situation. It builds students stronger. The extra subject is removed from this course and practical knowledge is given. Our college conducts many fests and events from September to November.

Review of Chandigarh Group of College, Landran .
Placements: Due to the recession, the placements are highly effective, and the major fact is that first preference is given to the students of CU, then it comes to us. The college trains for placements specifically with its TPP program, where they train you for every interview round specifically and put full efforts into the placements.
Infrastructure: 4-5 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls, and every hostel ranges at different prices ranging to the number of people in one room. We've got a got a common bathroom, and every hostel has its own gym and has access to laundry twice a week, but you've got to adjust to the mess food.
Faculty: 40% pass percentage and very hard marking teachers really focus on the quality of the answers and the content provided in the answers. Even a small error is counted and can eat your marks; midterms happen twice with half the syllabus, and they matter for internals.
Other: The biggest festival, naming Parivartan, goes for 2 days, and various small festivals keep on happening.

The college with special skills.
Placements: Only 50 percent of the outgoing batch is placed on our campus. The highest package is around 25 LPA, and the lowest package is around 3 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, HCL Technologies, Wipro, and Cognizant are there, visiting every year during placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. Classes are non-AC, unlike other colleges. Hostels that are in the college are not so good. Even the food of the mess is not good. The college never looks after the complaints of the students facing issues in the hostels.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and qualified with the highest degrees and are knowledgeable. The chief of the college are not good in our department. They are very strict with us as students. But the teachers are very understanding and helpful, unlike in other colleges.
Other: As you know, everything is based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. So, based on that skill, I opted for B.Tech in AIML as my core subjects.

There are 4 canteens, many snack shops, and 2 food courts. The hostel is fully Wi-Fi enabled, and a gym is also available.
