Overall, I love the college and teachers in my department.
Placements: Around 29% of students were placed in the course. The fee needs to be paid every semester. There are no recruiting companies. I don't know what percentage of students got internships. I think I love mathematics.
Infrastructure: There is Jio Wi-Fi network in the college, but it is limited to 34 Mb per device per day. Very poor connection and low amount of data are provided. Other colleges have better facilities than ours. Labs are not maintained properly, and they are dirty. Less equipment is provided. The library is good, and the classrooms are average. Classrooms don't have projectors or air-conditioners.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and are the best. But the college office staff are worthless They are very rude. They won't help students, and they only take money from the government without doing any work. This course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because I love mathematics. The best thing is that I am learning a lot about Mathematics, and I also want to learn more. I think the semester system is good, but it has a very short period, and there is a huge syllabus. Authority should do something about that. All the fests and freshers are organised by our Union, and they worked well with no doubt. Connectivity is good. The campus crowd is good. The campus surroundings are very dirty and should be cleaned immediately. There is no scholarship from the college, but you can apply for SVMCM and Inspire. I don't participate in extracurricular activities.

Review of City College, Kolkata.
Placements: About 11% of the students in our college study mathematics Honours. The highest salary offered is 1 lac per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Top recruiting companies like Tata Consultancy Services and Cognizant visited our campus for placements. Mostly many government sectors and academics departments or academic institutions also hire students from Mathematics Honours. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 1.8 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 18 LPA. About 40% of the students from our course got an internship in research projects.
Infrastructure: The whole college is Wi-Fi enabled, and in our department, there is a personal internet connection for the students. Our labs are fully equipped, and it has about 15 computers to practice. Classrooms are large enough to accommodate 50 students, and the classrooms have enough number of lights and fans to continue a long class. In our library, there are many books for any student. It also provides our special departmental library, which is called a seminar library, and here we get some old books on mathematics which even not get printed nowadays. Expensive books are also available, and students can easily borrow it from there. The college provides many hostels, just near our college area. Students can easily get food and lodging and can attend the classes easily. In our college canteen, the food served is extremely cheap, but the quality is well maintained. In our student's union room, the college provides all-time a first-aid box ready for the first-aid treatment in any type of injury. Students union also arrange sports in Winter like long jump, high jump, racing and chess.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful. They all are PhD holders, and they are extremely knowledgeable about their subject. Their teaching quality is average, but if you approach them and ask, then they will explain wonderfully. The course curriculum is relevant for the students. It also makes students industry-ready because of the syllabus of Calcutta University. They teach in a proper way that you get every knowledge about the subject.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like mathematics from the deep of my heart. The best thing I have found about this course is its syllabus, and it gives a huge knowledge of mathematics. The college provided some new process of the exam to compete with the students of Calcutta University at all India level, but I think the old examination process is far better where descriptive types of questions are being asked. Many scholarships are provided in our college in each stream, and there are scholarships in the name of some retired teachers.

It is the most prestigious college.
Placements: The college provides good placements, especially in the science stream. Companies located in Salt Lake offered jobs for students. Total placed students statistics is not known to me. However, students who secured 1st division or above were placed in various company. Salary structure is different for the various students. However, the least salary offered is Rs.15, 000 per month. Companies like TCS, Dabur, etc., visit the campus for placements. The roles in accounts, marketing, etc., are offered. There is no internship system in this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. Classrooms are good. There is a large library. Medical facilities are also available here. Sports are conducted among inter-college students. Lab faculty are the best, i.e., chemistry lab, physics lab, etc. The food served in the canteen is good and affordable. There is no hostel facility provided by the college.
Faculty: Teachers of the college are very helpful. They are the most qualified. They help non-meritorious students equally. They provide notes and give detailed data on the chapters. The course curriculum is very good. Subjects like mathematics, physics, history, zoology, chemistry, have the best faculty.
Other: Fest is conducted every year in the college by the union students and others. The college offers a good environment. It is one of the oldest colleges affiliated to University of Calcutta.
