B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028

If students are interested in engineering and do not want pace then join engineering college.
Placements: The highest salary package offered in the AI course is 20LPA. The average salary package offered ranges from 10-16 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5.5LPA. Top recruiting companies like Amazon, SAP, Cisco, Cloudcherry, Nvipani Technology Solutions, and Nutanix visit the college for placements. Roles like developer, data scientist, and business analyst are offered to students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is restricted to the library. Overall, the infrastructure is good. The campus is located in the IT hub of Bangalore, and on the outskirts of the city, ensuring accessibility to major tech companies and startups. Classrooms are modern but not as we thought.
Faculty: Teachers are more supportive towards students. Many activities will be conducted, but students must have an interest in those activities. There are two internal assignments per semester. Students should maintain above 75% attendance if they want to submit assignments on time.

Efforts should be made by students here. Teachers are always ready to help with projects.
Placements: The highest package was 44 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. Many top companies visit, but it's all on you. If you have the skills for coding, you can crack the interview. 4-5 years ago, many students got internships in Google and Microsoft companies, and here you can learn Korean and Japanese so that it will be easier for you to crack the interview with Japanese companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good and CMRIT isn't that big, so there won't be a crowd in the college. You can peacefully do anything. Labs and classrooms are also well maintained, and there are no problems with the infrastructure. Talking about food, it depends on you. Since it's a South Indian city, North Indians may have problems with food, but breakfast and dinner are better. Sometimes lunch isn't great, especially the sambhar. Lemon rice is fine, though. For those who can eat dal rice with achar, it’s the best combination I found here. Canteen food is the best.
Faculty: Engineering is all about self-learning, but in the first year, you will get full support from teachers. They will teach everything, and in the second year, you have to start learning on your own. CMRIT is under VTU, so the exams are moderate to hard. For me, it was easy, and I got good marks.
Other: CSE is a demanding course, and I have always been interested in coding, which is why I took it. There are a lot of restrictions in the hostel regarding clothes, and you can't take mess food in your room. You also can't celebrate birthdays, and you can't use a kettle or iron. This stuff should be changed. Everything else is good. There aren’t many fests and not much of a crowd like KIIT. Scholarships are also provided, and there are extra activities like several games organized by VTU that you can participate in.

Good overall experience and campus.
Placements: CMRIT offers a good placement to its students, with an average package of 8+ LPA and the highest going up to 29+ LPA. Many big tech companies visit the campus and pick up skills. Companies come to pick students for various kinds of roles, like developer, analyst and many others.
Infrastructure: Though the campus is comparatively small, it offers all the top-notch facilities, including digital libraries, walk-in libraries with all sorts of books, and smart televisions in all classes. The college has a canteen with good and hygienic food and a hostel with all necessary facilities.
Faculty: The curriculum is very strict, with lots of things to study and lots of assignments to do but this helps in the overall development of the subject. The college has some of the best faculty members with great knowledge. The pass rate is also good, with students securing VTU ranks as well.

CMRIT: Placements Strong, But Faculty Lags CMRIT: Impressive Facilities, Academic Quality.
Placements: CMRIT Bangalore 2023 placement season saw significant success. A total of 844 placements were secured, with 148 recruiters participating. The highest package offered reached INR 22.70 LPA, while the average package stood at INR 5.98 LPA. Top recruiters included Accenture, Wipro, Capgemini, and Cognizant. A high percentage of students also secured internships in reputable companies.
Infrastructure: CMRIT College Bangalore offers a range of facilities for students, including well-equipped labs, classrooms with modern amenities, a library with a vast collection of books and journals, and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity across the campus. The hostel facilities are comfortable and well-maintained, with amenities like clean rooms, laundry services, and a common room. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is generally good, with a variety of options available. The college also provides medical facilities on campus and encourages students to participate in various sports and games through its sports complex.

Average placements for 2025 as of now. The management should be more cooperative with students.
Placements: The placement season at our college has been good this year, with numerous reputed companies visiting the campus and recruiting talented students. The avg package offered stands at 6 LPA as of now, reflecting the strong industry connections and the skill sets of our students. The variety of companies that participated provided opportunities across diverse domains, catering to the aspirations of students from different streams. It sets a promising benchmark for future batches.
Infrastructure: The hostel is above average. They provide a comfortable stay with well-maintained rooms and amenities. The mess food is decent and the hygiene standards are satisfactory. The environment is conducive for studies with helpful staff. The rooms are big and the overall environment is good.
Faculty: The professors were knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. The class size was large, limiting individual attention. The course curriculum covered a wide range of topics, but could benefit from more practical content. The semester exams were challenging but fair. While the curriculum and faculty were decent, the college could improve on class size.
Other: Batch and Course: I am pursuing my B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from CMRIT, batch 2025. Why I chose it: I was passionate about technology and wanted to build a career in software development. Best Things: The strong emphasis on practical learning through projects and internships. Things to improve: More focus on soft skills development.

Overall, the placement is decent.
Placements: Placement Experiences: Students after the 6th semester can sit for placements but they all should have a CGPA above at least 8. Companies like Wipro, IBM, Accenture, and Cognizant have visited. The highest package this year was given by a Japanese company for 22 lacs. The average package is 4,50,000. Almost 80% of students get placed. Many companies do mass recruitment. But the placement got a little worse at this time because the IT sector was running a bit slowly.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure: Yes, we have a campus hostel. The infrastructure of the hostel is impressive. The hostel is well-maintained. The warden puts much effort into hygiene and cleanliness. Personally, apart from the morning breakfast, the food is not good. The restrooms and living rooms are cleaned daily.
Faculty: There are many branches in CMRIT College, such as CSC, information science, mechanical civil engineering, and EEE. Almost all the teachers in CMRIT have completed their Ph.D. There are 3 internal exams and one final exam, which are converted into 100 marks. The exam conducted by VTU University is a bit tough and they do not give high marks. Sometimes, many marks are deducted and students fail. After that, a boy submitted a report, and it cost 600. If he passes, then the VTU will work to earn money.
Other: I am a main student of information science at CMRIT College. I got admission to this college with a rank of 14000 in COMEDK. The studies here are good, but there are some teachers who only focus on written learning and increase the burden of written learning.
