College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar (CEB) - review.
Placements: The placement is not good at all. Some of the known companies had recruited the students. Most of the IT companies were invited by the college whereas the civil branch's students were not at all allowed. Some of the good Companies that recruited in 2017 are Tech Mahindra and ADP. Many pool campuses are also organised here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. There are two buildings - block A and block B. It has simple rectangularly designed buildings. The floors are divided according to the departments. The conference room is located on the fourth floor of block A. The canteen is located opposite to the excluded buildings. The library is located on the upper floor of the canteen. The girl's hostel is located inside the campus area whereas the boy's hostel is located just outside the campus.
Faculty: This is a four-year course split into eight semesters. Except for the faculty members of the science department and the humanity department, I haven't found any quality teachers or the faculty. Some of the teachers are worried to complete their syllabus but fail in doing so. Some of them were yelling for the money during the examination.
Other: Each semester consists of 5-6 theory subjects and 3-5 practicals. It comes under Biju Patnaik University (BPUT)• This college is fully corrupted. They will show you love and faith at the time of the admission, but after that there is not a single person to listen to your problem or to help you. 9 out of 10 faculty members and staff are fully charged up with the unnecessary attitude. Every time, a fine amount is imposed even for invalid reasons. The hostel mess's food is just junk.

Review of College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar, BPUT.
Placements: The placements were not up to the mark with BPO offers for B.Tech students. They should give priority to technical core companies for a better development of the students. The students must be trained to how to face the placement team. They must concentrate on the overall development of the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure needs some work. They have the resources but improper planning is not helping in the development of infrastructure. The campus area is good but a lack of proper infrastructure is hampering the college. They must focus on developing the infrastructure and labs and playground to involve the students in co-curricular activities.
Faculty: The faculty should be more experienced. The course is nice. The course curriculum is way too good but the faculty appointed for the same is not up to the mark. The faculty members must be experienced enough to teach the students, and they should ensure the overall development of the students so that they can succeed in their lives.

Before 2018-2019, our college was like an Autonomous College.
Placements: Only 10% of students are placed in our course. The lowest is 1.2 Lacs per annum, and the maximum is 1.7 Lacs per annum. Shree Cement & SPD Construction are the companies. No student got an internship. Junior Engineer & Site Engineer are the most preferred jobs available. This is the problem for everyone who is from a Tier 3 college. I am facing the same issue. The campus package is not more than 3 Lacs per annum. I was feeling very bad asking pass-out seniors about jobs. Then someone gave me a wise suggestion: He told me to find a good company, not a big company. Let me explain, I am a machine learning enthusiast, and he told me to find a startup that is working on data science and machine learning. Don’t worry about salary. It may be very less, but in that organization, you will get the best work experience. Your learning curve will be vertical. Believe me, you will see a wide difference in yourself after 1 year because in a startup, you have to work professionally on your own for a long time (1-1.5 years). After that, you can start applying for big corporates. Now your confidence and professional skills will help you to crack any interview. Don’t waste time or spend a year to find a high-paying job. Or else, if you have good enough skills that fulfill the requirements of big corporates, then definitely you can apply now.
Infrastructure: Average facilities and infrastructure are available for our course. Classrooms are good, but labs are not good enough, and machines are very old, with some also not working. The hostel is below average. They take 72,000 per year but provide average quality food, and the rooms are also below average. The canteen is also average and not preferable for all.
Faculty: Teachers and faculty members are good and helpful. They are cooperative and make us understand everything. Semester exams are quite tough, but still, students manage to clear the exams. The passing percentage is around 70-80%. For most of us, college is the first time you’re living away from home, and it takes a lot of getting used to. I’m beginning to wonder if it’s all just a concocted ruse to become industry specialists in the fine art of doing one’s own laundry. But when you’re delivered at the hostel doorstep, starry-eyed and full of cinematic visions of giant groups of friends, crazy nights, and all kinds of hi-jinks you’d probably be telling your kids about someday, no one tells you that not everyone enjoys college. All my life, I’d always attended private schools in cities where people were more or less similar, and you quickly found your type and settled in. Being relatively cosmopolitan, cultural or religious differences didn’t really matter because you couldn’t see how the person in front was different from you.
Other: Civil engineering is not my first choice, but unfortunately, I chose this stream as I had no choice. Actually, I wanted to do Automobile Engineering, but it's not available in my city.

Other: Location: Ratings-10/10 -It is well located in the heart of the city. All necessary amenities can be easily achieved in this area. Hostel ratings: 7/10 Boys' hostel is located just beside the college campus whereas Girls' hostel is located inside the the campus with better security. Mess and Fooding: Ratings : 5/10 - Mess food can be rated average. Except all, college is NAC affiliated and has got a well cleaned campus. Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable here.
Placements: The college is good for placements. It provides ample opportunities to those who wish to get placed in a good company. From the 7th semester, students are eligible for placements. The percentage of placements in the core courses is about 85%, and in tech courses, it is 100%. The highest salary package offered is 1.25 crore per annum, and the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Google, Amazon, Ola, Schlumberger, Uber, etc., visit our college for placements. A top role offered to the students is a software engineer. About 85% of the student from our course got an internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is decent. The places are hygienic here. The campus is not huge. The field is just good. Labs have sufficient systems and high-speed internet. There are projectors installed in most of the classrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good. Even during the lockdown, in online classes, professors taught us very well. Semester exams are easy to pass if you study for the last one month. However, if you are coming to such a prestigious college, you are not here only to pass the examination but to gain knowledge.
Other: A fest named Mecca is held in our college, and I heard that it is awesome. Because of the pandemic, we haven't attended any fest yet. However, other fests or departmental fests like ORF and Polity are excellent.
