The best college to pursue a master's in aquatic environment and fisheries resource management.
Placements: Few placements are there in the mangrove foundation. Students in the ELPA program are hired directly by private companies. 60% of students got placed. The highest package is about INR 10 lacs per annum. Neospark, Growel, Cargil Pvt. Ltd., etc. are the top recruiting companies. Every student had an internship last year (in the 7th and 8th semesters).
Infrastructure: The college has separate classrooms and labs for various departments. There is an old boys hostel for PG and Ph.D. students and new boys hostel for UG Boys. Sagarkanya Girls Hostel for UG, PG, and Ph.D. girls. A well-maintained mess facility for both boys and girls are there.
Faculty: Teachers are experienced and have good publications and research. They are helpful at every moment. They provide the best guidance in research. The curriculum is based on students choices, with full freedom to choose research topics. The exams are difficult with a 30:70 ratio. 90–95% is a passing percentage.
Other: It is the second most prestigious course in the agi-allied sector to pursue. Aquaculture and fisheries management are at their best. More practical visits should be arranged. Indradhanush, Ashwamedh, Aavishkar, etc. are the events conducted.

Aquatic Environment Management is one of the best departments to pursue a Master's or Ph.D.
Placements: You will get a chance to get a closer view of the diversity of Aquatic organisms. You can work as scientist, who are working in fish stock assessment and species conservation. All the last year students get paid internships from ICAR. The lowest package offered is INR 3.6 lakhs/year.
Infrastructure: Well-constructed infrastructure is there. Good facility for libraries and practical resources. Wi-Fi is available. Smart classrooms with digital resources are there. Hostel with each room sharing two beds and a mess facility within the campus. As it's a coastal region, we get fish for two days meals. All university games, youth events, etc. are conducted.
Faculty: All qualified teachers with more than 15–20 years of teaching experience are available. All have done research in various aspects of the Department of Fisheries Resource Management. Course curriculum according to the interests of students will make subjects and learning more productive. Mid-semester and semester-end exams are there, with a master's passing score of 6.5 pga.
Other: This course provides exposure to practical knowledge about fisheries education. This course must get proper attention from the government for better planning in the fisheries sector. Aavishkar (science fair), Ashwamedh (state level sports meet), Indradhanush (cultural events), etc. events are conducted every year.
