Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at DKTE worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is B.E./B.Tech at DKTE worth the investment?

Based on the reviews and testimonials from students and alumni, here's what stands out:

* Placement Record: Almost all students (around 80%) get placed, with a high success rate even in niche sectors like textiles.
* Salary Packages: Average salary packages range from INR3.5 Lacs to INR6 Lacs per annum, with the highest package reaching up to INR18 Lacs per annum.
* Faculty Support: Faculty members are highly qualified, with many holding PhDs, and are willing to help students throughout their academic journey.
* Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure, including state-of-the-art labs, a massive library, and comfortable hostel facilities for female students.
* Industry Connect: The college has partnerships with leading textile companies, offering students internships and job opportunities.
* Course Curriculum: The curriculum is designed to meet industry demands, covering topics like textile processing, chemical engineering, and materials science.
* Event Organisations: The college organises regular events, including cultural festivals, seminars, and workshops, promoting a lively campus atmosphere.

However, some drawbacks mentioned by students include:

* Limited Job Opportunities in Core Sectors: While many students get placed, the college struggles to place students in core textile industries.
* Campus Infrastructure: While the infrastructure is good, some students mention that the campus size is relatively small.
* Placement Criteria: The college sets a minimum criterion for placement selection, which might impact students' chances of getting placed.

Overall, considering the positive aspects and potential drawbacks, investing in a BE/BTech degree at DKTE could be worthwhile for students looking for a career in textiles, chemicals, or allied industries. However, individual circumstances and preferences should be carefully considered before making a decision.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

I suggest you not to expect very much about our college as it has both advantages and disadvantages.
Placements: Placements are not bad here. Roughly about 85% to 90% of the students get placed in Indian and foreign companies. Our college puts efforts to make all students get placed. Trident, Welspun, etc., are some of the top recruiters for our college. Every student must do 2 internships in their last 2 years.
Infrastructure: Laboratories are good in our college. Even though our college lacks state of the art practical facilities, it still manages to educate the students enough. Wi-Fi facility is terrible, and classrooms are a bit old and small. The library contains almost every important book which is required. Our college is spread over a small area, and you can't even find a place to sit in your free lectures. Our college never gives importance to sports until you do something on your own and get a reputation.
Faculty: Majority of the teachers here are well qualified, and they have been working in industries also. Our college has a course curriculum through which students will be industry-ready. So students will be well qualified and knowledgeable. Students who come from Maharashtra will surely face some linguistic difficulties as not all the faculty members speak excellent English, and even some staff members seem to be biased for them. But they are not biased for students who are from outside Maharashtra.

Choose this college only if your passion is textiles.
Placements: Around 85-95% students were placed. The highest package is around 8 Lacs per annum, average is around 2.4 Lacs. Top recruiting company is Trident. All students are compulsory to go through 2 internships in a span of 4 years, for any of the textile company. Top roles are Industrial engineer or merchandiser.
Infrastructure: The facilities are average, not too good but it is optimum. Small classrooms, weak Wi-Fi, barely potent labs, though the library was small it has all the necessary books. Food was awful, sports are games are scarcely promoted to summarize other than classes there is not much to do.
Faculty: Few faculty members are helpful and can speak proper English, others will not support students at any level. Biased for non-Maharashtrians students. Though the curriculum is very versatile and it teaches you all sectors of textile industry. It makes you well prepared and an all rounder for the textile industry.
