Placements: There is a common DSI placement cell in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering. In telecommunication batch, VTU based students have passed out in 2017, and it has placed 52 students out of 150 students. Also, CIL, Centre For Innovation and Leadership happens here once in every semester which is very useful for placements.
Placements: According to the placement, the college is good comparatively, but what the real fact is that most of the placement is for Accenture companies and the civil and mechanical branches. The core companies wouldn't land up, even if they land up also, they won't take many students.
Placements: The placements for my senior batch were moderate. Around, 55-60% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered was of 7-8 LPA, the lowest was 2.8 LPA, and the average was 3.5 LPA. All the MNCs in the country like Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, etc., visit the campus. The software trainee was the role offered to the students. The internships were not part of the academics. The average stipend was of Rs. 1,00,000. There is a placement cell, which is efficient.
Placements: The core companies don't come, and in my year, only 2 core companies had come. Rest of the companies were all IT companies. The placement percentage is below average for non-IT branches. You have to do higher studies or get into IT software companies. The IT companies like Infosys have core branches in them, but you have to start IT job.
Placements: The placements are average in DSCE. Most people get the average package of 3-4 LPA with the mass recruiters. Some well-reputed companies may come, but the hiring percentage is very low. You will mostly be hired in Accenture or Infosys. However, the highest package may go up to 8-10 LPA, only if you're in CSE.
Placements: I heard from my seniors saying the placements are good and most of them were placed in big MNCs and industries. Also, there are more opportunities for the best startups here. The college supports the upcoming students in startups and much more. The laboratories are properly conducted by the faculty members and they ensured students have to attend the classes by taking attendance daily.
Placements: Almost 80 percent of the students who had an aggregate of more than 60 percent of the academics got the placements. Most of the companies are software. The major recruiter was Accenture, followed by Tech Mahindra and Infosys. None of the mechanical core companies visited the college.
Placements: Placements are okay if you are looking for a software firm to join. If you are looking for a core mechanical job in placements, that is hard to find. Although the college will tell you some fancy company names like Mercedes, AMG, L&T, etc. coming for placements, that is a lie. Companies which came to campus placement for mechanical engineering are Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Infosys, etc. Mostly, all of the students were placed except students who have current backlogs. The role was associate soft...
Placements: There are hardly any core companies. IT companies are still hiring engineers from other branches. They work for a year or two and then study abroad. This trend never gets old, even though our syllabus is. Every major electrical company has at some point given up because we just do not have the capability of being good enough.
Placements: Placements are good, the highest package offered was 15 lakhs and the average package is 4.5 lakhs. Service based companies like Accenture and TCS select 600+ students. There is a 100% placement for all eligible students. You would likely get placed at least in a service based company for sure.
Placements: There are no internships offered by the college as far to my knowledge. Top recruiters being Accenture, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Infotech, etc. but the placements have gone down in 2016. As an estimate, 40 students got placed out of 150 in information science branch last year.
The Infrastructure is quite good and it has a superb library that also includes a digital library. And coming to the branch, the faculty is quite good but as far as placement is concerned for the core branches, placement is quite poor and there is no support from the HOD. If you approach the placement officer, he might be able to help. Else for placements in core companies, the ratings would be 1.5 out of 5.
The college provides good studies. The faculty members are concerned about teachings. The college campus is wonderful. The college has all the facilities that are required in the laboratory. Academically, if you manage your time well, you can do well. Teachers are good but not great. The college fee is very high. Hostel facility is there. It comes under good colleges in Bangalore.
The college campus is really great. It is fun to live in as well as the study environment is good. The faculty is very good, supportive and caring. Locals might enjoy but migrants might face issues due to creepy mindsets of the racist faculty. The location of the main campus is quite good. The college crowd is very nice.
Classes at DSI are interactive but they have the worst faculty. There is a good mix of students. The environment is really good. Plus, placements are also pretty good. This college is good only for graduation and not post-graduation. No placements for M.Tech are there. For MBA also, there are very bad placements with the highest salary package being 4.5 lakhs and lowest 1.8 lakhs. Not worth for postgraduates. The campus has a wide range of facilities but all paid ones, which means you have to p...
I joined DSCE (mechanical branch) in the year 2010 and have excelled in my academics with an aggregate of 73% with my own individual efforts. But still, I was not placed in any core company. The only company that visited during my college days was Mercedes-Benz and that too it was among the top 5 colleges in Bangalore RV, PESIT, BIT, BMS and DSCE. Only one of my friend got placed from our college as we hosted the campus drive. It’s really disappointing for me. Software drives are good but not...
My college is good in terms of placements, activities and infrastructure. But there is some problem with some faculty members. Some of them are very good, but some of them are really not so strong in teaching, not experienced and not so supportive. Overall, you would get a friendly environment with the students here but some systems in the college are not good. However, the placement record is good.
The college has various departments with good lab facilities. The department building renovations started in the year 2002 and they extended it to building new buildings for Medical and Dental courses. One of the main concerns is the fee structure. The college demands a big amount of donation for management students. But the faculty in the college is not up to the standards. There is a lot of politics in E and C department. Two groups, always fighting. Faculty members teach just for the exams, ...
Placements: No top companies visit our branch, and only two or three core companies visited here. Only 10% of the students get placed every year. Most of them do not get placed in core companies, and most of them get placed in IT companies. Many of them prefer to go for higher education.
Placements: Our college provides poor placements. The placement cell tries to make us placed in any of the average companies. Once you get an offer letter from those, then they restrict you to attend placements for any MNCs. At the time of admission, they claim, students can have offer letters from E companies.
