Our college has nice infrastructure and provides great placements.
Placements: About 80% of students get placed every year. Placements are excellent compared to other colleges. Some top companies visit our campus to hire students. Accenture, TCS, Infosys, Ultratech, and ACC are the major recruiters. Internship facilities are also provided.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available on campus. The library, computer lab, and hostel facilities are good. Free unlimited Wi-Fi service is available on campus and in the hostel. There is a separate block for sports.
Faculty: Teachers are excellent and confident. They provide great learning experience. Semester exams are difficult. Our college is very good at making students ready for industry. All students give good response to faculty members.
Other: All things are good, but some changes are required. Teaching methods can be changed. More time should be given to seeking site knowledge.

It is absolutely a good college with good faculty members.
Placements: The highest salary package offered here is 12 LPA. It is compulsory to get 1st class marks in all years, and you all will qualify for placements. A lot of companies like Tata, Reliance, Zomato, etc., visit here to hire students, which is good for students' future. It is useful to know the skills.
Infrastructure: There is a huge library. The classrooms are digitalised and have modern technology. In this college, there is a separate hostel building for boys and girls. There is hygiene on the campus.
Faculty: There are knowledgeable teachers here. A lot of guest lectures are conducted to gain industrial knowledge. The difficulty of exams is high, but it is useful for students. There is an optional course for students to know other branches' knowledge.
Other: There is scope for this stream, so I chose this course. A lot of events are organised by our college to gain knowledge of the industry.

Overall, it is a very good college.
Placements: Placements of the college are average. Only a few students get placed in college. But with the reference of teachers, students can approach a company and get placed. The roles offered are site manager, site supervisor, quality controller. But college makes students ready for companies by providing various value-added courses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university building is one of the best, and the college building is also very good. University has one of the biggest libraries in Asia and the reading hall has a capacity of more than 500 students with a 24X7 facility. The hostel is also good in the campus area.
Faculty: I am very satisfied with the college faculty members. They are helpful and supportive. Their guidance in the project and research paper helps students to make their work easy. Even they engage interested students in their research work. The curriculum consists of one internship every year.
Other: There are many events conducted on regular basis. Many national-level competitions also take place. Every year youth festivals, tech fest, and ShivJayanti are celebrated with a lot of joy. Top scoring students in academics get scholarships. The lectures are supported with regular industrial visits and the expenditure is given by the university.

I am dissatisfied with our college.
Placements: There are no placements in our college.
Infrastructure: The operating team spoils the careers of students. It should not teach just for formality to pass out. There are no proper labs for experiments for every subject.
Faculty: More than half of the teachers are working temporarily here. M.Tech students who have less knowledge are hired to teach. I remembered one teacher who doesn't have extra knowledge about the subject but taught us. That teacher just used to read the books and give notes to us.
Other: Our course needs to improve a lot. Students have to walk about 2 km in university for every documentation work and fee submission. It's not good.

Campus life here is good.
Placements: There are no campus placements for civil engineering department. You have to attend other colleges with a reference or on your own. I hope this will improve in the coming years as this is a developing college, especially in the civil engineering department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. It has well-ventilated classrooms, good and spacious labs, and Wi-Fi on the whole campus. Hostels are also quite good, but not everyone likes it. You can stay and have great fun here.
Faculty: The faculty members are not much good as they should be. As it is a university, everyone expects good professors, and there are no good faculty. The course is great, but practicals should be improved.
Other: I chose civil engineering because it is a very contrast branch. Many opportunities are provided after civil engineering. At DOT, practical knowledge and site visits should be improved. Events are organised by students without the help of college faculty. People from DOT have a good interest. Hence, they also find a way to enjoy every event.

Q:   Is it worth pursuing M.E./M.Tech at Department of Technology?

A:
{Source: M.E./M.Tech students & alumni}

Is it worth pursuing M.E./M.Tech at Department of Technology (DOT)?

Here's a summary of the key points:

Infrastructure and Facilities
* The college has modern infrastructure with digital equipment, high-speed network, and comfortable hostel facilities.
* The campus is well-connected, with proximity to the university and the city.
* Faculty-to-student ratio is reasonable, with one faculty member per 20 students for postgraduate courses.

Teaching Quality and Support
* Faculty members are knowledgeable, helpful, and experienced, with most having PhDs.
* Teaching methods include PowerPoint presentations, chalk talks, and hands-on training.
* Industry exposure is available, allowing students to apply theoretical concepts practically.

Placement Opportunities
* Unfortunately, there are limited placement opportunities for M.Tech students, mostly through off-campus placements.
* Few opportunities exist for M.Tech students in the energy sector, with some receiving internships or projects.
* Placement figures vary, but around 60% of students get placed after completing their studies.

Takeaways

While DOT offers decent infrastructure and teaching quality, its placement record leaves much to be desired. For those interested in pursuing M.E./M.Tech, it is essential to weigh these factors carefully before making a decision. Consider exploring alternative options with stronger placement records or seeking additional guidance on potential career paths. Ultimately, it depends on individual goals and priorities.
