M.Sc. in Physics - Batch of 2025
4.4
3Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Great faculty members but limited placements.
Placements: Basically, there are not any placements in our course, i.e., in Physics there is no placement; you will do either a Ph.D. or preparation for state psc's for assistant professorship. But in other courses like MBA and B.Tech, there are good placements. The top companies that are for placement are Accenture, Amazon, Atlassian, Bajaj Finserv, Cognizant, Deloitte, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, and LTI. HR, Engineer, Salesman, Interns, etc. are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: There is a single building for 5 departments (idk why it is ) on the ground floor. There is our department, "School of Physics," in which on the left side there are classrooms, a house office, cabins and washrooms, and on the right side there are 2-3 labs and faculty members offices. On a distance of 300 meters there is our "Laser Bhawan," our main laboratory, and it is the whole building for us (not shared like our main building). There is a free Wi-Fi facility too; classrooms are equipped with projectors and there is a library in which you can get an enormous number of books. For hostel kind of thing, it is the cheapest in whole Indore, like for that kind of big rooms (I'm talking of my hostel, RNT Boys Hostel), which is out of campus just 900 m away. There is another hostel, JNBH, also, which is inside but has smaller rooms, and the occupancy of both is 2 per room. For RNt, there are 2 grounds, one for volleyball and the other for football, one TT room, one dormitory, one prayer hall, one ganesh hall, one mess, and one gym (not good enough). its a 2-story building with greenery all around. There are water coolers, one little canteen, and Wi-Fi too. You can play any kind of game here.
Faculty: Great faculty members and professors; I really appreciate them and am obliged to learn through them; they are highly experienced and have deep knowledge of their specific subjects. Yes, the course is relevant, mainly based on material science (the field of physics). For industry, there is nope because its not a technical degree. Semester exams are not that difficult if you have your basics cleared.
Other: I chose this course as I want to go into the research field of physics. This course tries to get you to meet the real world and look at the world from different perspectives. It is the subject of experiments and talks only of results, not on superstitions and unproved theories.

I am satisfied with whatever I am getting. It is one of the top universities in Madhya Pradesh.
Placements: More than 90% of students got selected/placed. Top recruiters were Wipro, IBM, Cognizant, etc. And as I heard, the highest PKG offered was about 22-24 LPA and an average of about 7.9 LPA. Also, 109 students in CSE and 102 students from IT branches got placed this season.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure could be improved, although it has a separate block for each department, like A block for Mech and M block for administrative work. Also, hostel facilities are very poor. Only 20-30% of students got a seat in the hostel, and the rest had to take PG or private hostels. It follows a "first come, first serve" policy.
Faculty: Faculty here are highly qualified professors. They teach us very well with lots of real-life problems and situations. The course is definitely designed to make students industry-ready. Also, the e-cell and placement cell help students in getting good placements. I recently gave my 1st MST, and it was quite good—not very tough, not very easy—it was decent.
Other: There are lots of events and fests in my college, and Garba here is the most popular in Indore, one of the best Garbas in Indore. Some popular events include E-day, E-sangam, Aakshank, etc.

MBA in Management Science - Batch of 2025
Offered by International Institute of Professional Studies, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidhyalaya
2.6

Faculty needs a lot of improvement. Really dissatisfied with the favoritism and lack of material.
Placements: 50% students are placed after completing the 5-year program.
The highest package was around 15 LPA, and the lowest went to around 5 LPA. Internships are not given any importance. I myself am struggling to find an internship.
Students are placed mostly in the banking sector.
Infrastructure: There is no proper infrastructure. The labs are maintained, but the computers are really old models. The library is well maintained. Classrooms are good and clean. Washrooms strictly need to be cleaned and maintained. There are no medical facilities. The hostel is below average. The canteen is good.
Faculty: Less than 50% teachers are helpful. Teaching quality is not good. There is a lot of favoritism.
It does not make the students industry-ready. There is just irrelevant theory students have to mug up.
Semester exams may be easy, but the marking is really strict. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose this course as it is reputed. The best thing about the course are that it is different than other courses in multiple aspects.
Less favoritism and better grading would be a great improvement.
No fests and no events are there. Campus crowds is below average. Scholarships include various government scholarships for different income groups and castes.
There are decent number of competitions as a part of extracurricular.

M.A. in Economics - Batch of 2026
3.6
3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Good experience but will face difficulties in exams and grabbing opportunities.
Placements: Since MA is not professional degree as MBA, placements are less, but placements definitely take place. Around 30-40% of students with relevant skills and experience get placed at a maximum of 10 LPA and a minimum of 2 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies for my course are HDFC Bank, Deloitte, etc. Talking about internships, most of the students get internships in government plus private companies based on their expertise in some areas. The job roles and scope of my course are dala analyst, economist, researcher, research associate, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities in my college are satisfying, with good classrooms, an in-buit library, a placement room, auditorium and much more. There are parts of the university itself that are within walking distance of the college departments. Also, there are a number of private and government hostels available around the university campus. Facilities in the hostel are also good, such as in-buit separate mess, medical facilities, etc.
Faculty: The faculties are permanent plus visiting. They are mostly qualified and some are professionals in their field of study. The course curriculum is also satisfactory. The syllabus and subjects are closely related to the field of study. The college provides many opportunities for getting experience in the market and industry. Talking about exams, they are not so difficult to fail the students but attendance and regular studies are a must.
Other: I completed my 12th in the Humanities field. That's why I found that graduating and doing post-graduation in Economics was a good choice. The college organizes various events, including cultural and sports festivals. Some university-level competitions and programs are excellent ways to connect students on campus. Scholarships vary according to the course and scholarship requirements.

Integrated M.Tech in Information Technology - Batch of 2028
4.4
4Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Highly recommended course in today's growing IT world.
Placements: The placement cell at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is efficient, offering students a range of opportunities across sectors like IT, finance, consulting, AI, data science and more. Key recruiters include Infosys, Flipkart, Cisco, Wipro, Cognizant, Adobe, Dell technologies and many more, with the average package being around 45 lakhs and the highest reaching 1.3 core. The college provides strong internship programs, often leading to pre-placement offers. Students receive excellent support through mock interviews, resume workshops, and technical training. A strong alumni network also helps with job referrals and guidance. Overall, it provides a solid platform for securing good placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalay is satisfactory, with modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a resourceful library. Wi-Fi is available but can be slow during peak times. Sports facilities are decent, with courts for various games. The hostels are comfortable, though food quality in the mess could be improved. Overall, the campus provides a good environment for academic and recreational needs.
Faculty: The faculty is knowledgeable, though teaching methods could be more engaging. The curriculum covers core topics like programming, algorithms , modern technologies like AI , cloud computing, data science, etc. But lacks more practical knowledge and learning. Exams are mostly theory-based, with practical assessments in labs, but there is a need for more project-based learning and real-world problem-solving. Overall, it's a solid program with room for improvement.
Other: Overall, the course is good. It includes every modern technology and learning. The learning methods of teachers should be a little improved. As it's a government college, teachers are also not regular, and students are a little freer than those in private colleges. It is good in some way. The rest, youth festivals , programs , scholarships and more such opportunities come now and then. One can reliably take this course; it is beneficial, career making and good overall.

Discontinued( June 2022)- M.A. in Performing Arts - Batch of 2026
2.8
1Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Why you should choose this field?
Placements: There is no post in the current arts curriculum. No active placement cell is in the department going on. There are various types of internships we can get but there is no placement after the completion of our studies. Although the infrastructure is good, it is not for beginners. We have to adapt the curriculum ourselves.
Infrastructure: The course is very good as it provides us with vast knowledge of history, geography, psychology and sociology. In the hostel, there are not enough rooms for students for the first year and the food quality is not so good. Students leave the hostel in their first year and prefer to stay in a private hostel or as a paying guest.
Faculty: The faculty is good, as they are very well qualified and educated, as per the information given to us in the orientation of our batch. The curriculum is very well designed for students who are good in the humanities field. Exams occur regularly, as their are two mid-semester exams, one assignment and one end-semester exam.
