On Fees and Eligibility

Q:   Is B.M.M. at DGMC worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.M.M. students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from current and former students, here's a summary:

Pros:

* Well-equipped infrastructure, including a shooting studio, sound lab, production room, color grading room, and editing room.
* Helpful and cooperative faculty members who provide guidance and mentorship.
* Opportunities for internships and training programs, such as the TAP (Training and Placement) cell.
* Good placement record, with top MNC and digital marketing companies offering jobs to Mass Media students.
* Excellent facilities, including Wi-Fi, classrooms, library, and Mac labs.
* Vibrant campus life with plenty of extracurricular activities and festivals.

Cons:

* No dedicated placement cell for the BMM course, making it challenging for students to secure placements.
* Some faculty members may not be industry-experienced or effective in teaching methods.
* Limited usage of facilities, such as the radio labs and sound lab, which could hinder hands-on learning experience.

Verdict: While DGMC offers some impressive facilities and opportunities, the absence of a dedicated placement cell for the BMM course might deter potential investors. Additionally, the inconsistent teaching quality among faculty members could impact the overall learning experience. However, with careful consideration and research, the college's strengths might outweigh its weaknesses, making it a worthwhile investment for those interested in pursuing a career in mass media.

Remember, individual experiences may vary, and it's essential to weigh the pros and cons before making an informed decision.

B.A. in Film, Television and New Media Production - Batch of 2027

Best college for future Filmmakers.
Placements: Our batch includes 80 students, and our course is film television and new media production, which means filmmaking. Our college also has many placements, such as Red Chillies, Dharma Productions, BBC, and many more. We are going to get interviews soon in the production house.
Infrastructure: The faculty members are so friendly and so overwhelming; they are so knowledgeable and they don't miss any chance to entertain us They have also worked in many films and in film festivals and the infrastructure is out of the box; it's a studio, IT lab, a color grading lab, sound lab, etc.
Faculty: The course is so curriculum relevant because it teaches us how to be the best filmmaker, and there is a lot of competition in today's time, so the course doesn't hesitate to teach us any new lessons or to update us till the date; it's full of knowledge, and it's so amazing.
Other: The best thing about my course is to be in a film industry that I'm in the film industry. In today's time, it's impossible to fit in this industry because there is so much competition.

Please do not join this college ever.
Placements: There were literally no placements offered since the batch of covid, even though there was a placement cell but still, they did not call companies for placements. Absolutely hated the situation as students were already lacking because of lack of proper education during covid years.
Infrastructure: They have all the infrastructure of the world they need to teach Bachelor of mass media students for live hands on experience but they never use a single facility for the same. I wish they helped us learn more by using all the facilities like radio labs, sound lab and studio for the same so that we could learn better.
Faculty: Most faculty members were not proficient enough to teach. Every semester, they keep changing professors as they cannot find good professors in the first place, to teach students properly. I wish they really focus on getting better professors as students’ careers depend on them.

Amazing infrastructure and facilities, practical projects for each subject.
Placements: Bachelors students didn't get any placements. Only PG or Masters students got placements. This was a disappointment because it would be great if at least internships would've been allocated to the graduates. Internships would've helped a lot of students find their way.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure was the best thing about this college. IT labs, Library, sound lab, photos lab, and more. Everything was available for our course and I loved the infrastructure. Everything was premium just like I had imagined while watching movies.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. All the practical experience we got during our semesters were really good to make us industry-ready. Pass percentage was quite good. Semester exams were pretty much good. The best part were the internal exams where we got good knowledge about the outside world.
Other: The best thing about this course is the practical exams and practical activities we get to do in our internal exams. Innovative and creative exams where we enjoyed a lot getting full marks.
