{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Worth the Investment?

After analyzing the reviews and comments from students and alumni, here's a summary of whether B.E./B.Tech at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Institute of Research and Technology (DSIRT) is worth the investment:

Infrastructure and Facilities:

* Good classrooms, but lack of proper labs and Wi-Fi facilities are notable drawbacks.
* Decent libraries, hostels, and sports grounds are available.
* Canteen facilities could be improved.

Teaching Quality and Curriculum:

* Teachers are generally good, but may not provide adequate practical knowledge or career guidance.
* Course curriculum is outdated, and students need more emphasis on theory and practical learning.

Placement Opportunities:

* Placements are mainly in the IT sector, with some core companies offering opportunities.
* Salary packages range from INR4 Lacs to INR16 Lacs per annum.
* Internship opportunities are available, but limited.

Other Factors:

* Good events and workshops are organized regularly.
* Faculty members are supportive, but sometimes inefficient.
* College infrastructure is overall satisfactory, with some areas needing improvement.

Based on the feedback, while DSIRT has its strengths, such as good placements and decent infrastructure, there are significant drawbacks, particularly regarding teaching quality, laboratory facilities, and practical knowledge. Students looking for a strong foundation in their chosen field might find DSIRT lacking in certain areas. However, those seeking an affordable option with reasonable placement prospects might consider DSIRT a viable choice.

Verdict: While DSIRT is not without its flaws, it can still be considered a worthwhile investment for those prioritizing affordability and moderate placement opportunities. However, students should carefully weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.

Good but no focus on the practical side..
Placements: Actually, there are mostly IT company placements. There is a minimum number of campus jobs offered to us. IT companies provide a maximum package of INR 16–18 lacs per annum and a minimum of INR 4–5 lacs per annum. Top companies are TATA, Infosys, etc. 50% of students got internships. Assistant agricultural engineer is the top role offered.
Infrastructure: Good classrooms but not a proper lab or Wi-Fi facilities. The hostel and food are good, but it felt a little bit overpriced. The canteen is not great. It's always rushy. There is no proper hospitality in the canteen. Foods are overpriced. Sports and games are conducted well.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but not of good quality. They usually teach only theories. They don't provide practical knowledge. And they didn't say anything about career guidance or the scope of this course. The semester looks easy. The passing percentage is 87%.
Other: This course has the best futuristic value. Proper practical teaching is needed. Events are good.

I am dissatisfied with this college.
Placements: Our college provides good placements in the IT sector, but this year various core companies are visiting on-campus to recruit students from major IT companies.
Infrastructure: All the basic infrastructure is available in our college. It has proper laboratories with well-maintained equipment. There are decent libraries with all types of books related to the subject. There are two boys' and two girls' hostels, which accommodate all the girls and boys of the 3rd and 4th-year students. Newly built hostels are good.
Faculty: The quality of teaching is excellent, with regular homework and assignments. They provide practical sessions in laboratories. The course curriculum is updated as it includes recent developments. It makes students ready for work.
Other: I chose this course as it is the best course.

The college ambiance is nice but some of the rules that can't be acceptable to everyone.
Placements: Above fifty per cent of students were placed from our college and they recruited to the companies like Mahindra, Tata, etc. There are so many students who completed their internship programme.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good. The hospitality they provide is better. Hostel food is also good enough. Wi-Fi isn't available in the hostel. The atmosphere is very calm and studious. The hostel warden is also very well-mannered and friendly to the students.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful. They provide good care in our studies and other curriculum activities. They are very eager to make their students participate in symposiums and other tech and nontechnical events conducted in our college and other colleges.

I am not satisfied with this college.
Placements: Placements are good in our college. In the IT sector, we have good placements and we also get placement opportunities from various core companies.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is very good. Our campus is huge and well-designed. This college is currently having all the basic infrastructure that students should have. It has a proper laboratory. We have a decent library and several books are available. There are two boys' hostels and two girls' hostels which accommodate all girls and boys of 3rd and 4th year. Conditions of the newly built hostels are very good. Classrooms are also good.
Other: I would not recommend this college to students.

Placement in last year was really good and most of the students got placed..
Placements: Placements are going good. About 10-20 % of students were placed per year in agriculture engineering. About 20,000-30,000 per month salary was offered. Mostly Mahendra, TATA and some IT companies were comingfor recruitment. About 75% of students have got internship from our course in various companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities of our college is very nice. The infrastructure of our college is average for agriculture engineering. Wi-Fi is not provided in over campus, labs are available but few number of classes are available. Hostel was average food was below average medical facilities are available.
Faculty: The teacher are really helpful. Most of our faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable . The quality of the teacher's are above average, the quality of English is very poor also. The semester exam was little bit though .
Other: I would like to study about agriculture hence I chose this course. The best thing of this course was to improve the agriculture in our country.
