Satisfied with the faculty, but placements might improve by 2027, infrastructure is good.
Placements: The college placements are good, but due to the current economic recession, placement has been affected a bit. Many students from the mechanical and civil engineering departments have been placed in IT companies. Companies like Accenture, Capgemini, and Cognizant recruit at the college. Cognizant recently conducted a training program called "Stepping Stone."
Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi in every lab and hostel room. There are two hostels for girls and two for boys. The food is good, especially the daal. We get four meals a day: breakfast at 8:30 a.m., lunch at 1:00 p.m., snacks at 6:00 p.m., and dinner at 9:00 p.m. Both the college and hostel infrastructure are good.
Faculty: The faculty are good, and some are really very helpful. Mentors are provided to each and every student. Teachers have very good knowledge and are well-qualified. There are four internal exams, CA 1,2,3,4 (25 marks) +5 marks for attendance=30. And semester exams 70 marks Total 100 marks. Practical exams are separate. Pca 1,2 for 40 marks including lab manual writing, viva, lab attendance and a final viva or practical 60 marks =100 marks.
Other: The best thing about it is that it gives me the flexibility to go into either hardware or software. Plus, the job market for ECE is predicted to grow in the future. The college also has some great fests, including a cultural fest and a tech fest. The tech fest has events like Techhackatron, Technovation, Robotrix, and Cinematrix, and they offer exciting cash prizes. As a West Bengal student, I can avail of the Swami Vivekananda scholarship. There are also extracurricular activities like karate classes, a music club, and a tech club.

A good college with good ROI.
Placements: If you score a good rank in the WBJEE and JEE Main exam or good marks in your last qualification, then you are eligible. The highest package is 2,500,000, and the average package is 500,000. Above 80 percent who got internships are eligible from B.Tech.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for my department are very good. All machines are available and updated from time to time. Workshops are also there, and all updated instruments are available. The facilities in the college hostel are good, just like average. Emergency hospitals are also available, and doctors are present all the time.
Faculty: In my college, the teachers are helpful. If you have any doubts, then you are free to ask. The teachers are very qualified. All teachers have done Ph.D. In my college, the difficulty level is moderate for the semester exams. All questions are given from the book only or what teachers taught only.

Review of Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College.
Placements: The college tries for almost 100% placement for its students. The top recruiting companies are Accenture, Wipro, etc. The highest package offered was 18 Lacs recently; the average went for 3.5 lacs, and the lowest went for almost 1.2 Lacs. As for the internship, I haven't heard anything.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided here are living quarters for teachers, 2 hostels for boys ( 3 but only 2 are functional), 2 girls' hostels, a main building with some of the core branches departmental buildings and some subsidiary buildings for other branches. Also, there is a central library and there are departmental libraries for each department. The hostel facilities here are the worst, as the food here is awful (especially for vegetarians; don't join if you are one).
Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable (there are very few of them) and the rest of the faculty's teaching style is different from what I understand. The PDFs they provide are not at all helpful for the exams you have to study for with your own notes. Even the marking system is too abrupt, as you cannot determine whether you will pass or fail even if the answers to questions were perfect.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in coding. The best thing about this course is that you can have a wide range of possible future options through it. There are many possible improvements to this course. Many small college-scale events take place, and there are also major annual festivals. Two festivals take place. These are enjoyable ones, as in the cultural festival, local artists are invited to the programs and in the technical festival, you can compete with your skills.

Decent college with decent capabilities of fulfilling expectations.
Placements: It will become autonomous from 2024. It may fluctuate for 2-3 consecutive years, but according to the trends and as a tier 3 college, it can be said to have decent placements. The 2024 placement drive has started. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.4 LPA. ECE department also has a similar scenario of placements. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA-8 LPA. Companies like Accenture, Capgemini, JSW, and TCS are coming and offering decent to good-paying jobs.
Infrastructure: Food menu and hostel, according to the hostel fees, are quite decent. Still, some may find it a little bit costly, but it is definitely much cheaper than other institutions in other states. It has a gym, football ground, and basketball court (though it needs quite a bit of maintenance).
Faculty: Teachers and administrative panel are quite cooperative and patient, but students must maintain decorum. Rules are quite strict, not extreme, but, students have to obey them to a certain level. For exams, after becoming autonomous, the whole examination and evaluation system will be monitored and controlled by the administration of the college. So, what teachers are teaching may prove to be useful in exams.
Other: College clubs seem a little lazy and less active comparatively, though clubs have potential. Cyber security-related club, Cyber Sleuths, is quite decent and proactive. Besides, Genesis, the cultural club, also seems promising.

It was good back then in 2020. The infrastructure is good now as well.
Placements: No one has been placed yet as we are in the second year. The highest salary package offered is 20 LPA and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. Accenture, and TCS are some companies that came recently. No one from our batch has received any internships yet. Roles include software engineer and full Stack developer.
Infrastructure: Everything is good in classes and labs. Digital screens are also available. Wi-Fi is available, but sometimes it doesn't work. Classroom is a little small, so it gets congested when full attendance is present. Hostel is not good at all. Food quality is not good. Medical facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also good. Course curriculum is relevant, but I don't think economics is relevant. Semester exams are a bit difficult, as there are many exams every month, which makes it hectic for a student. Pass percentage is above 50%.
Other: I chose I chose this course because there is much hype about it, but now it's good, and I'm loving it. Best thing has to be Maths. I love it the most. Course will be better if some subjects that are not relevant, like economics and chemistry, are removed.

BCREC is the best College in Durgapur.
Placements: Dr. BC Roy Engineering College provides many internship and pre-placement programs in the 5th semester. Our college has a better placement ratio among all Durgapur colleges. It is a better option to do BTech; in our session, placement provides around 3 to 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: BCREC infrastructure is wide and large, very attractive. Huge campus Wi-Fi 24/7, canteen and cafeteria, or well-designed labs are stabilised here. A large library, with 95000 books, is also here. Smart classes are well organised, and many more facilities are provided to students.
Faculty: Teaching staff are very highly qualified. They provide extra classes and doubt-solving classes to understand students’ problems smoothly. Many teachers come from IIT or NIT backgrounds. BCREC conducts exams semester-wise, and exams are very tough with CCTV cameras.
