Absolutely dissatisfied with faculty, placements, course curriculum, and inadequate infrastructure.

Placements: When discussing the placements it is below average when compared to IT or CS. Only very few domain-specific engineering companies have visited our college on campus like Sakthi Auto Components, Haritha tech serve, Lucas TVS, ST. John Freight Services. There are quite off-campus recruitments that have happened like Roots Industries India Pvt Ltd, Velmurugan Industries, Butterfly, etc. Roles that were offered like process engineer, very few for design, GET, etc. The Average package is very poor th...

I am not satisfied with our college, but its good reputation helps every student.

Placements: Around 30%-40% of the students from our course are well placed, while 20% of the students got placed in moderate companies. About 10% of the students got moderate jobs, while others didn't get jobs. The highest salary offered was Rs. 60,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month. Soliton and many companies also offer internship facilities, but it is not sure whether it offers placements or not. However, our college has a reputation.

A good college for a learning student.

Placements: Only 2-4 companies visit for the core. Rest all are IT, marketing and BPO companies. It is a good college with good fame and excellent lab and advanced technology but lacks more core placement. One can expect Infosys, NTT Data, Amazon, Decathlon, HaritaTechServ on campus and Range Breaks, and few other tier-2,3 companies in the manufacturing sector on/off campus.

It is a good college with poor output.

Placements: In my batch, around 30 of the students got placed in different companies with includes design company, IT industry etc. In terms of salary, it was around 3LPA. Infosys, Category global, Hepatica, Sakthi Auto components, AIS, Force Motors visited the college. The students got selected for sales roles, design roles, marketing roles, IT engineer and GET roles. Probably Rs. 6,000 was the highest stipend which my friends got during their intern.

My views on Dr MCET, Pollachi.

Placements: The placements are getting worse year by year. This year, the placement count was to low, and the highest salary package was 5.5 lacs per annum. Being a remote college, most of the companies make a hard choice to come here for recruitment, though the students here are capable enough to get placed in those companies.

There is a lot of exposure to learn. But campus placements and campus life are horrible. Mechanical engineering department is good and has less pressure from staffs. Staff members are good and knowledgeable. There are lots of opportunities given to think outside the books.
