Placements: The placement percentage of this year was 60%. The highest package was 36 lakh rupees. The average package was 5 lakh rupees. The top recruiting companies were KPMG and EY. More than 350 students were selected for internships at Kotak Life and Snapdeal.
Infrastructure: The college campus is very big and spacious. There are many open grounds for children to sit and play. There are proper commerce labs for practical work. There is a very big library that can be accessed at any time. Unfortunately, there are no hostel facilities available.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and very knowledgeable. But still, they are open to more knowledge that they can get. The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is very relevant and helps students in their future life. The semester exams are not so difficult.

The best and the worst of Dyal Singh.
Placements: Our batch is 2020-24. I am in B.Com. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are KPMG, EY, and Genpact. They are mass hiring companies. Internships that are provided are mostly in sales. The stipend offered is Rs. 5,000-10,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite great. It is one of the biggest colleges in comparison to the area in Delhi University. All facilities are available including labs and Wi-Fi but it is a bit old. However, there is a newly built building as well. The ground is very big when it comes to sports. The canteen also provides decent food.
Faculty: Faculty members are great and helpful. They have immense knowledge related to their subjects. They are easily accessible through WhatsApp groups and classroom classes. Semester exams are held every 6 months and the difficulty level is moderately difficult.

Based teaching faculty members, big college.
Placements: Placements available are average, infact even below 4 LPA is offered. Though the number of students placed is good, but only a few good companies come to recruit students, that too at low packages. Internships are mostly of far places offering no pay. Opportunities are many but not worth.
Infrastructure: The facilities available are okayish, the infrastructure is average, no lifts, no Wi-Fi, no AC. Everything is average here. Canteen is also okay. Although the space is big, and there are many places to sit, but to say that the facilities are really good, would not be fair.
Faculty: Teachers here are pathetic, some are really good, only a few, some are average, but others are really below average. They are not at all helpful and are so biased, they don't even teach properly, and give internal marks partially and unfairly. And you cannot do anything about it. Course curriculum is good and related to industry chosen, exams are also good.

My first-hand experience of Dyal Singh College as a fresher.
Placements: I am rating the placement of my college 4 because it's improving every year with a lot of new companies joining in. Since I am a fresher, I don't have first-hand experience with the placement procedure, but I can tell you the basic details. CV Scan, Aptitude Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview are some of the basic steps in the process. It is advisable to maintain an 8 CGPA in all years since companies do have some minimum eligibility criteria. The average of this year is 5 LPA and the highest is 23 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty average. Though we have an amphitheatre and auditorium with two libraries, one for the morning and another for the evening batch, still there are many improvements that need to be done in the college in terms of infrastructure.
Faculty: The staff is well qualified and helpful towards students. Generally, they are cooperative if you maintain the decorum of the classroom and do your assignments on time. But, if you try to cross them and be disrespectful, you will face the consequences.

Dyal Singh College: A Good College.
Placements: Hello Everyone, My name is Amrit Raj and I'm doing B.Com at Dyal Singh College, South Campus, DU. In my course, almost 75 - 80 % of students get placed in companies like Accenture, Genpact, and many more. The maximum package that a student secured in my course is 36 Lacs per annum and the average is around 5.6 or 5.7 Lacs per annum. Companies that visited our campus for placement and internships provided us with different types of roles like audit assistant, business development executive, finance & marketing, etc.
Infrastructure: My college has computer labs, physics labs, chemistry labs, biology labs & mathematics labs. Our classrooms are a mixture of good and bad classrooms as it is a very old college, so its old classrooms are not much better. Wi-Fi only works near the library area and in the library.
Faculty: Our Department of Commerce has a group of 39 teachers, whose head is Jasleen Kaur. All teachers were very supportive in nature and tried to teach students as well as they could. For the industry, I believe that students had to do a lot of hard work besides the course to get ready for industrial work. It can be achieved by doing internships & certification courses, which were provided by our placement cell.
Other: The most interesting part about my college is that their evening classes also run in the morning time, which sounds different from all colleges in the University of Delhi.

I am satisfied with what I have received, despite its imperfections.
Placements: Placement opportunities at my college are not guaranteed. The only way someone can secure a placement is by being actively involved in internship fairs and networking. While the college claims to provide placements, the reality is quite different, and students understand that. Most of our college alumni end up in consulting, and the college assists them in reaching there through placement fests.
Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure, including sports facilities, is among the worst. The library has a wide range of books available, primarily related to academics. Wi-Fi is provided, but access is restricted unless you request the password from authorities. Labs are decent but still lack basic infrastructure. The canteen serves cheap and tasty food, and there are medical facilities available in designated rooms, but no hostel is provided here.
Faculty: The helpfulness of professors varies based on several factors, including how students treat them. Generally, the professors are knowledgeable and qualified, using traditional teaching methods. This course is highly relevant as it provides a comprehensive understanding of business operations. Semester exams are held twice a year, challenging both those who haven't studied and those who have. The passing criteria are 40%, including internals and theory.
Other: I chose this course because it is one of the best offered by the University of Delhi, providing a thorough understanding of the subject. The best aspect of my course is its dynamic curriculum and diverse fields of study, which cover all aspects of business. I wish the subjects were less challenging, as the difficulty level often makes it hard to pass.
